Patti Joyce really took her time and made sure I was comfortable with my wig and cut. This is very personal process. This is not pick one out and leave. It needs to be fitted, cut and style. A lot more complicated than I thought. There were times I was worried the beautiful wig I just bought might be ruined but all of Patti Suggestions made the wig more natural and comfortable. She is an artist. She educated me and showed me the difference so I could make a decision. I didn’t feel pressure to buy or wear something that wasn’t me. Losing your hair is a very depressing and to be able to look in the mirror and see the person you use to know it spirit boost.

Patti & her very competent assistant Vee, are not only delightful & knowledgeable, but they exude love & care for their customers. I am thrilled with the 2 wigs I purchased through them & encourage anyone even vaguely thinking of getting a wig to go to Wigs by Patti Joyce as I promise you: you will not be disappointed!

What can I say about Patti… She is really one of a kind. She picked me up when I was down. When I arrived, I was greeted by both her assistant and Patti herself who was working in her warehouse. I shyly asked if I could see samples of wigs to purchase, only to find out that they go by appointment only.
I was sad, but explained to Patti’s assistant that I had previously driven to LA to purchase a wig only for them to have ruined it without knowing by the time I arrived back home. Her assistant was warm, welcoming and apologetic for the experience I had, and assigned me an appointment as soon as Patti was available.
I was on my second chemo treatment then and I was only wearing a beanie, too torn to even wear the ruined wig from Los Angeles. Patti heard my story and rushed in and held my hand, treated me like a human being, not a customer, not a dollar sign… But as someone who needed help and guidance in order to feel normal again. She told me she herself was a survivor and she knows the struggle, held me as I cried and told me it would be okay. I’ve honestly never met a person before with such compassion. It broke me down, and I had not even had the appointment yet! As soon as she was able to console me we assigned the appointment and I met her two days later again. She was a delight! She made me feel comfortable and at ease, she taught me very many things and inspired me greatly. I left with a piece that gave me life again, and made me feel like ME. I really can’t put into words how thankful I am that I found her and her establishment. I hope you too can find yourself again, because Patti will guide you!

Getting cancer and losing all my hair from chemo at 32 sucks. I wanted a wig but was NOT excited about shopping for one as I did not want to LOOK like I was wearing a wig and well I was a bit depressed overall. Luckily my friend Jill knows me well enough she took it upon herself to review some local places and with some encouragement I decided to give Wigs by Patti Joyce a try. Immediately walking into her salon Patti greeted us with open arms. She simply exudes pure joy and love. Her and Vee spent over an hour pulling different wigs in various styles and colors. I ended up purchasing two different wigs. After wearing each of them a couple times I decided they were a bit too full for my face shape. Patti told me to bring the back in. I went back the following week and she spent over an hour cutting and adjusting so that they fit and looked even more perfect. I could not be happier with them or with Patti and Vee. Thank you for making me feel good while I transition through this unexpected period of life!

I have been wearing wigs for the past 8 years. During that time I have purchased many wigs from various shops but they were always uncomfortable, did not fit well, and getting a new one was always very stressful. OMG, what a wonderful experience. I never smiled so much and had so much fun at any business since, well, I can’t remember! Patti and her staff were so helpful, friendly and honest. I had a blast and found two wigs that made me look and feel so pretty. This is actually my second review for Patti. My first was done previously when Patti was doing business on her website as Wigs by Patti’s Pearls. She no longer owns that website but now serves her clients in her Salon in Carlsbad as «Wigs by Patti Joyce». I am in my 70’s and have been struggling with finding help for myself with my autoimmune hair disorder since I was a teenager. When I came to see Patti about a year ago, I was spending a small fortune on wigs that I had to tape to my scalp but were causing horrible irritation and still looked unattractive. Patti took about a minute and a half to size me up, went into her «magic inventory» and came back with a wig that astonished both my husband and me. I look younger, better, and my scalp is healthy. Patti does it all and «is it all.» She is an honest person who truly knows the hair business, is a genius stylist, and a wonderfully funny kind human being.

I ordered hair products online from Patti and received them within 2 days. Her customer service is personable and superb. I check her site often to see the latest and greatest, plus she’s very informative. Unfortunately I made an expensive wig purchase at a local wig shop before I discovered Pattie’s wigs. The purchase was a total disappointment and no customer support or customer satisfaction at all. It would have been great if I found her before going somewhere else. She’s certainly my first choice now!!!

My wife and her sister drove over to see Patti. They knew nothing about choosing a wig, how to care for one or anything else. Not only is Patti cute as a button but her and her staff spent hours with them, I think they took up most of her day, but she wanted to ensure that they got the right style and color and knew how to care for it. Losing hair is not fun. Going into wig stores and having «road kill» plopped on your head and being told «It’s YOU!!!» is humiliating and discouraging. I found Patti’s store when I was visiting my daughter in Carlsbad and was so surprised… no…SHOCKED…to find someone so caring… so patient and so knowledgable about wigs. She spent hours with me and made me feel so comfortable and special… I could cry! This is a genuine lady… she does not try to just sell you something. She tries to help you find the right hair piece for YOU! She can make you feel like a million bucks whether you purchase or not. She is the only place I will ever go to for hair pieces again.
