Seventh & Dolores is a dedicated event space available for rent in Carmel-​by-​the-​Sea, California. Located in the heart of the downtown area, Seventh & Dolores is a flexible, fresh, neutral, voluminous venue carefully designed and constructed to create exceptional event experiences.

History

Established in 2015.

A combination of unwavering affection for Carmel and an innovative vision for adaptive reuse led to the creation of the highly anticipated Seventh & Dolores event space.

Building owner Jeffrey Peterson’s affection for the town and commitment to preserving the charming character dates back to 1982 when Peterson proposed to his late wife in Carmel-​by-​the-​Sea. It was in early 2001 when Peterson and his family were unexpectedly encumbered by his wife Karen’s diagnosis of mesothelioma and his son Eric’s battle with both diabetes and leukemia. That powerful reminder of the delicateness of life led to the creation of the Peterson Family Foundation, a charitable organization devoted to scientific, clinical and and translational medical research. Today, with the support of his wife Julee, 14-​month-​old daughter and two collegiate baseball-​playing sons, Peterson has used his philanthropic motivations to reinvent the former seventies’ bank building as Seventh & Dolores.

Great new events space in the heart of town. The convergence of the cooking world happened here for many a meal celebrating various Relais and Chateaux chefs. I got to sit next to Annie Feolde of 3 Michelin Star Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence while enjoying cuisine by two other 3* chefs. BMW had some of their new models on display, DOm Perignon pouring wine and Lufthansa providing hospitality pre meal. The open kitchen is glassed off unfortunately but you can watch the action from the large banquet room.

Carmel has needed an events center for decades. A place to celebrate, collaborate and or to simply take a date where you can revel in the charm that is Carmel By The Sea but appreciate all the amenities and technology touches to make any event stand out and be memorable. 7D provides all of this. Corporate clients are going to love all of the contemporary touches while your family and community clientele will appreciate being able to stay and play in one location-​Carmel. Thank you!

We conducted a great breakfast media/​mixer event at 7&D. Everything was flawless. Parking and entrance was great, the guests were thrilled to go someplace new, the room options worked out to be a fantastic setting and the staff over-​delivered on our needs. I was also able to attend the grand opening evening event, which had entirely different cool look that captured Carmel history, LA vibe, and red-​carpet style. A very functional facility in the heart of Carmel, Calif.
