Dr. Gary Palma has provided exceptional orthodontic treatment in the Monterey Peninsula since 1979 when he first opened his offices in Monterey and in Carmel. Since then, Dr. Garrett Criswell joined the practice and together they continue to deliver première orthodontic treatment for the entire family. They specialize in Invisalign and esthetic braces, in addition to more traditional types of braces. Both Dr. Gary Palma and Dr. Garrett Criswell are certified orthodontic specialists by the American Association of Orthodontics and have attended top ranked schools for their training, including UCSF, USC, UOP and UCLA.

Business Owner

Dr. Palma is a native of the Monterey Peninsula. It goes without saying that Dr. Palma has a genuine lifelong investment in the community that he loves, respects, and is honored to serve. When Dr. Palma says his practice is family oriented he means it.

Dr. Criswell is a natural compliment to the family oriented practice, as he has five brothers and a young family with three sons. Dr. Criswell became an orthodontist so that he could be a part of the dramatic change that occurs during treatment, both in the patient’s smile and self-​confidence.

Dr. Criswell attended UCLA for college and UCSF for dental school and orthodontics. Dr. Palma attended dental school at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and USC for orthodontics.

Drs. Palma & Criswell are members of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Monterey Bay Dental Society.
