Being new to the area, one of my biggest newbie challenges was taking the plunge and finding a new stylist. You see, before I moved, my sister and her awesome salon were my go-tos. I figured I’d have to try several places before I would find a salon that got it right. But then, on my first random pick I happened upon Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and my stylist Lacey and I knew I was all set. The salon itself is gorgeous inside — the walls are the most amazing color of deep periwinkle and the subtly sparkly countertops are a droolworthy level of beautiful. Funky lighting finishes the look. It’s bright but relaxing, modern yet warm. From the reception desk to the shampoo bowls, everyone is friendly and accommodating. It’s a laid back atmosphere but it’s clear everyone is very serious about their jobs. As far as my stylist, Lacey, I think she’s great. She really took time during my first appointment to make sure we were both on the same page. She also does a great job of checking back in at each appointment — with a focus on all aspects of the ‘do and how it’s been going since the last visit. It’s clear that she can take any ideas about the cut or color and make recommendations to make everything pop. She also does a great job of walking you through what she’s doing with your hair as far as products used and techniques for drying and styling. Of course, I can’t ever make it quite as nice as she does, but I feel empowered and educated enough to get close! I would definitely recommend this salon and Lacey for a great color and cut. I really look forward to my hair appointments at KKBB!

I decided to get my hair professional dyed for the first time ever a month ago. I knew I wanted ombré but had no clue on what color(s)! I had a consultation with Shani to discuss what I wanted, and as usual, I was very indecisive. I just knew I wanted something different and bold! I kept apologizing and she was so patient with me! She gave me suggestions, and had me look up photos to send to her before my dying appointment. I was still difficult when I showed up but she helped me to figure out what to get, and I am glad, because I am still in LOVE a month later! We did a purple and blue ombré. I have so much more confidence now just because of my hair! Strangers have been complimenting it like crazy and I think I have seen people sneaking photos lol. Every time I see it in the mirror or catch a glimpse of it in a window or out of the corner of my eye, I can’t help but smile from ear to ear :). Plus, she guided me with getting the best hair products and told me how to use them! Shani was so patient, informative, kind, and did an AWESOME job! Definitely will be going back!

This was such a great experience and it’s located in a great area in the Carmel Arts District. They have a varieties of stylists at the salon, and even a couple who specialize in curly hair. I saw Lauren who is a curl expert at KKBB. Gosh, she was great. She taught me what products to use and how to wash and condition my hair, as well as, how to style it for the best natural look and help me with problems I often have. The stylists at KKBB know what they are doing and I will definitely be going back. It’s a bit pricy, especially for curly hair, but with the expertise behind it I’m more than willing to oblige.

KKBB is new to the arts and design district, and I’m so glad they’ve arrived. I randomly walked in to get a blow out and style for my engagement photos, and Megan Melton took the time to listen to me and match the photos I had brought in. Since then, I’ve continued to see Megan for my color and cut, and she’s been great. I’m a blonde, and she keeps my color in balance(no platinum or golden tones!) She’s also given me suggestions on detangler, shampoos, and conditioners. Lastly, she’s very nice and chatty– so it makes my hours spent in the chair more enjoyable. The loss of a point is due to the price. This is not a cheap salon. Blow outs are $ 35. My color and cut tends to be around $ 165+. Their shampoo/conditioner line will run you around $ 75. Their better deal is on the liter sizes, which go on sale a couple times/year.(** side note– prices are before 20% tip)

DON’T GOTOLAURENSHOAF. She hardly speaks to you to understand how you want your hair cut especially if your hair is wavy like mine, she made it more curly and didn’t have time that’s what she said to fix it. The main part is I even showed her my picture of previous hair cut that how i wanted with layers now i see no match to what I wanted. She promised me even that I will be able to see layers when i wash them but not even closer to the layers now I can see. She charged me $ 63 for that rubbish which i payed with out any orgument. She said I can come back if don’t like it even after wash but she knows that I came from fishers traveling half hour for hair cut and no way I am going to give my hair on her hands. This is my first review on social media because it was very disturbing to me now.

Louise has been my stylist for two years and she never disappoints. I trust her so much that I let her do whatever she feels is best for my hair and every single time, I walk out looking like a million bucks. KKBB Indy just recently moved to this Carmel location and it’s beautiful! Plenty of free parking — either in a garage behind the building or multiple flat services. Appointments — fairly easy to come by but I always book mine ahead of time 5 – 6 weeks.
