Woodland Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge

I have been taking my dog here for years. They take excellent care of your furry friends and don’t push you to spend into bankruptcy.
I just had to put down my dear doggie last night. The staff and vet were so wonderful. They didn’t make me wait at all in the main waiting room, went thru what to expect, gave me lots of choices in how I wanted things to go and didn’t pressure me at any stage. They even had an extra box of tissues ready.
I will forever be thankful to them and will recommend them to all my friends.

We sent our sweet boy Clay to their pet lodge for four days. We were very pleased with the overall experience! It was reasonably priced and he came home as happy as can be! They explained how he was and were very kind and caring towards our big baby! He seemed to have really enjoyed his time at the pet lodge. Our top choice for Clay for dog boarding!

My poor little Pomeranian with separation anxiety hurt himself one day while I was at work. Woodland was able to get him in the same day! I was really concerned financially because last time I took him to a vet a couple years ago for this it was extremely expensive. We were in and out with medication for $ 60! They even gave us a sample of vitamins to see if he liked them before I purchased the big container. They also gave us information about ways to subside his anxiety before having to medicate him. My little buddy is feeling much better within one day!

I have brought my dogs to Woodland since I move back here 12 years ago. They have always been nice to me, my family and my dogs and they give me the knowledge and understanding that I need to help keep my pets healthy and happy.
I have also had my dogs in for grooming and Lindsay is just wonderful with them.

BEST VET IN INDY! I can’t imagine going anywhere but Woodland Animal Hospital. Dr. Michelle Gray is the BEST vet we could ask for and her staff is incredible! From the moment we walk in the door, Galileo (my 2yo Australian Shepherd) and I feel welcome and like we are a part of a family. The vet tech rarely ever leaves our side and Dr. Gray has spent more time with us than any vet we have ever visited. I always have my questions answered, and if not, Dr. Gray will call and email me until I feel completely comfortable with what is going on. My dog has had some health issues this year, and as any pet parent knows, it can really be scary. Dr. Gray and the staff at Woodland show the same concern as I do for Galileo and they always email and call to check up on my furbaby throughout the entire year! I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to go to a place that loves my dog like I love my dog. They show general concern and compassion for Galileo. For instance, I had to take my dog to the Animal ER this year, and the first thing I received the day after the ER scare was a call from Woodland checking in on Galileo! Oh, and the pet lodge is great! Very clean, very warm and inviting, with great big «suites» for your furry friends. The grooming services are superb as well. Galileo always looks and feels like a BILLION bucks after he goes to Woodland Animal Hospital. Thank you, Woodland and Dr. Gray. You have shown us the best care we can get from your team that truly cares!

I help bring my sister’s dog to this clinic and everytime I come here (which has been twice and hopefully the last) the staff is beyond unhelpful. I am blown away that the staff pushes drugs, vacancies, and food instead of dealing the dogs skin disorder. We are here for an illness and the dog is stressed, my sister is stressed and all this nurse is worried about how much money she can get out of us! This is the 3^rd time in 6 months we have been here for the same skin disorder. After three rounds of medicine and no results. All I can say if you want a vet with compassion and care for you and your pet go elsewhere! I am thankful I take mine to a loving vet!

I started taking my cat to Woodland Animal Hospital several years ago when they were still on 116^th Street. Dr. Phillips and his staff had always been caring and compassionate and seemed genuinely interested in how my pet was doing. I stayed with them once they moved to their new location on Carmel Drive. I subsequently gained a couple more cats and continued to be satisfied with their service and care of my pets. Earlier this year I had to take one of my cats in for an exam and he ended up having surgery. This most recent experience was significantly lacking compared to my other previous experiences with Woodland Animal Hospital. We were told that we would be contacted if the cost of the services they needed to do might go above and beyond what was originally estimated. That call never happened. When it came time to pick him up, the bill for services was well over $ 100 greater than the original estimate, so we had to resolve the billing errors before we were able to take him home. I can’t help but feel as if the staff’s main objective was for the maximum financial gain, not the welfare of my pet.
4÷22÷2014 — In response to the comment left by the representative of Woodland Animal Hospital: I am not disputing the fact that the amount mistakenly charged was removed, I am disputing the fact that they were supposed to call and notify us if an additional charge was anticipated and Woodland Animal Hospital never called. This caused undue stress during an already stressful situation. If they would have called like they told us they were going to, there would not have been an issue and they wouldn’t have been given such a low rating.

I started taking my dog there shortly after I bought her. It’s been 11 years and have been very happy with Dr. Phillip’s practice and the staff is very friendly and courteous. The faculty is very modern and super clean.
Dr.Phillips is very knowledgable doctor and so is Dr.Glore. I have two dogs now and taking them both there and won’t go to any other place.
