Owned by the board certified podiatrist, Dr. Brian McDowell, the McDowell Podiatry Group is dedicated to treating your foot and ankle pain. We treat all types of conditions throughout the Sacramento area, including fungal toenails, bunion pain, or even nerve pain and numbness in your lower extremities. Both Dr. McDowell and Dr. Gavin Ripp have the expertise and qualifications to help you on your road to recovery.

Established in 1980.

We offer a full range of foot and ankle services and we’re really passionate about neuropathy, diabetic limb salvage, flatfoot deformities, sports medicine, foot and ankle fractures. When you visit us, expect to be treated with the most modern, up-​to-​date equipment out there; from X-​ray technology to lasers to ultrasound – we have it all. When conservative treatment fails, surgery is another option that we can provide for you. Business Owner

Dr. Brian A. McDowell has been practicing podiatry in the Sacramento area since 1975. He and his wife have three children and five grandchildren. Originally from Boise, Idaho, he moved to San Francisco after graduating from the College of Idaho to attend the California College of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated in the Top 5 of his class and was a member of the Pi Delta honor society. He then fulfilled his internship and residency, specializing in podiatric surgery, following his graduation.
