Located in the heart of Washington’s beautiful Snoqualmie Valley, Jubilee Biodynamic Farm has been providing the community with fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat, free from pesticides and herbicides, for nearly 20 years. Jubilee’s produce is available through its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription program, in which members of the public support the farm by committing to purchase shares of its produce for a season.

History

Established in 1990.

Located in the heart of Washington’s beautiful Snoqualmie Valley, Jubilee Biodynamic Farm has been providing the community with fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat, free from pesticides and herbicides, for nearly 20 years.

Jubilee’s produce is available through its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription program, in which members of the public support the farm by committing to purchase shares of its produce for a season (or more!). Each share, consisting of a box of farm-​fresh produce, is provided to Jubilee’s CSA members on a weekly basis. The produce is fresh, local, and grown with sustainable farming methods.

Part of Jubilee’s mission, besides growing delicious, healthy food, is to educate the public about organic farming techniques and to instill in youth the value of land-​stewardship. The farm always welcomes visitors, and educational tours are available in the Spring and the Fall.

We came here for the pumpkin patch with my 1 year old on a Saturday morning. I think we’ll try a different place next year. It’s a farm, so expect lots of puddles and mud. It’s not a very well-​oiled machine, but kids don’t seem to care, so it’s good enough in my book. The price of pumpkins is 60 cents per pound.
Pros:
–accepts credit cards for everything
–offer food and apple cider — corn, hamburgers, bratwurst, quesadillas, ice cream
–everything was FREE — hay maze, admission, miniature horse rides (I think), parking
–trebuchet launching a pumpkin — the kids get to race out to get the broken pumpkin pieces and feed them to the pigs
–can pet the draft horses that pull a cart
–tractor ride to get to/​from the pumpkin patch (you can walk if you’d like)
–not too crowded
–place to wash off pumpkins
Cons:
–the hamburgers were awful, the bun was barely thawed through and the meat was super thin and chewy
–the wait for our hamburger and bratwurst was nearly 30 minutes, and the wait for corn was much longer, to the point where people were complaining
–they offer nothing to drink besides tap water
–the trebuchet was supposed to be launched at 1:00, but was nearly 30 minutes late, and no staff member knew what was going on
–the pumpkins were meh — not too bad, but we couldn’t find quality ones like at other patches

These people are thieves or should I say FAKES! They get there pumpkins brought in from another FRESH farm and place them next to their few grossly grown pumpkins. Then charge a pretty price for their «farm fresh fakes». so if you didn’t cut them off the vine, then most likely it came off a truck from another farm! I’d rather buy one from a store than get knee high in mud visiting that sad looking farm. ALSO RENTERS beware a friend rented from them and treated her very badly! They were always down her throat about the rent and even charged her a 3,000 dollar dog deposit. She replaced a lot of appliances in the home and never bothered them for a thing. Left the home cleaner than when she moved in. She moved out never saw or got the deposits or security deposit and was even told that she’s been paying a month behind and owes several months from months ago! Don’t trust these people they may look sweet but are wicked old money hungry. Keep all your copies and be ready to sue if needed! That’s what they truly deserve! Or better yet DON’T RENT from them!

We went here for a preschool class trip. The male farmers were very friendly, patient, and funny. Then we were led to the hay maze by a young woman, I don’t remember her name. She was completely cold and rude and should not have been around kids, she so obviously does not enjoy them. The parents and teachers were taken aback. She left one little girl in tears. Everyone else at this place obviously enjoyed their jobs. Seriously, she should find another line of work because this kind of attitude does not represent Jubilee Farm well. It left a bad taste in my mouth — I would not go back.

This place was pretty nice. They had hot cider and corn and that was fun. They had live music in the form of a little band playing on the side of the house. Seemed very in the spirit of the harvest. It was cute!

Thoughtless cold hearted and dirty. Not family friendly year round. Do not go in the summer. Turned this farm lover into a jaded unhappy fair goer. Filthy disease spreading pigs one year. And now we are to be so grateful as to come again for… Nothing!
All those «different people» that come in Aug need fresh food too. Many have special diets. So short sighted and a total cut with a truly special community.

Culver City, CA
Went to Jubilee farms today to pick some pumpkins. It was fun and we spent 1.5 hours there and probably could have spent more. Saw a lot of farm animals close up – cows, pigs, chicken, ducks and horses. Went through their hay maze. Walked around the farm, picked a pumpkin, rode on the hayride, weighed and cleaned the pumpkins. Ate some organic popsicles. A lot of land where you can take a walk and imagine what it’d be like to live on a farm. Really fun place to go for a pumpkin-​picking experience.

North Bend, WA
This will be my 4th summer session CSA with Jubilee and have been very impressed with the food we get from these folks. During the summer session, everything you get comes straight from their fields! My first two seasons were as a work share member and I can tell you from experience that the agricultural practices that are used here are environmentally responsible and sustainable. The weeds are pulled by hand by people, not machines spraying pesticides! I would recommend Jubliee to anyone interested in a CSA program.

This is a GREAT CSA. We are in year # 7 of receiving a share year round and I cannot imagine being without them. I love being a member of the Jubilee Farm family. It feels good to contribute to this biodiverse community and in return we receive the freshest, most delicious vegetables and fruits year round. Our box is delivered since we don’t have time to visit the farm weekly and it’s worked out very well. We’ve never been missed and the quality of the produce is always excellent. When the peas are fresh, or we need to touch the earth, we take a trip to the farm for some U-​Pick and fresh air.

We had a fun time picking pumpkins here over the weekend. It’s about a 45 minute drive to the farm from downtown Seattle. The hot cider was very good, but what’s with not having fresh donuts for sale? I guarantee that will increase cider sales 10 fold. It’s like serving peanuts at a bar so people drink more beer. BTW, if you haven’t dunked a fresh Cinnamon sugar donut into hot cider on a cool fall day, you haven’t lived. That’s the standard at places like this in homeland of Mid-​Michy but not here apparently.
The Pumpkins are a short hayride away. Since we had our dog with us we elected to walk. They are only about ¼ mile up the road from the main building. We took them up to be weighted and walked out with 2 medium size pumpkins and 3 gourds for $ 20.

This is our favorite place to go for our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch. We’ve been going for about 6 years now and always leave with a big haul of pumpkins, sticky hands from the unbelievably delicious roasted fresh corn and freshly pressed hot apple cider, and muddy feet from running to pick up the pieces of destroyed pumpkin to feed to the pigs from the pumpkin trebuchet toss. The setting is gorgeous in the Carnation valley and the family who owns the farm is friendly and makes the whole experience wonderful. This year they even had some live banjo music that made the experience even more fun. The hayrides out to the pumpkin fields are always fun too. So far this is the best pumpkin patch in our area we’ve found and we look forward to going back every year!

My wife and I have been members of a few CSAs Washington but once we joined Jubilee Farm’s delivery we knew we’d found our ideal program. After three years of membership for year-​round, weekly produce delivery in Seattle, and many in-​person farm visits throughout the year, we really feel like you should when you buy a share of a farm… that it is «your» farm too. We love supporting farmers Erick and Wendy (and their team) and hearing about & seeing all of the work they put into making the produce that they provide their members is not only the best quality, but also appropriate for our region and for the sustainability of the farm (they are a biodynamic farm… something advocated for in the The Omnivore’s Dilemma book).
We love supporting these farmers who are so committed to providing excellent local produce to their members, but are also highly involved in improving the NW agricultural community through advocacy, mentorship and information. (Note: they are CSA only, you won’t find their stuff @ farmers markets).
Being a long-​term member of this great farm, and knowing right where my food comes from, makes me feel a little bit better about living in the city.

Fantastic CSA farm! Organic, sustainable, friendly and well stocked. They also host Autism Day WA. We are pleased to be able to join this year.
Last year we picked up a few times for friends and my kids LOVED going to Farm School where Eric and Wendy take the kids to a different part of the farm on a tractor and teach them about things like «How to pick a potato properly», «How to pick, bunch and wash carrots», etc. They also love seeing and feeding the animals.
A nice treat on a hot day is the ice cream you can buy and eat out on the front porch. They sell honey that is produced right there on the farm and tended by local beekeepers. A fantastic place to go. Worth every penny.

Great family outing to pick pumpkins at their pumpkin patch. This will become a tradition for us. Very friendly people, gorgeous farm, lots of fun for our 1 and 3yo. Hay ride, corn maze, tribochet demonstration, pigs, etc. The only thing we paid for was the pumpkins we bought (and some other yummy food). No parking fee, admission fee, etc…

Went with my wife, brother, sister in law, and 1.5 year old niece today to go pick up some pumpkins and enjoy a great fall day. Jubilee Farm has become a tradition for us. My niece had an absolute blast. She got to ride a horse, take a hay ride, pick a pumpkin, and eat some fresh roasted corn (her favorite).
Best if you have cash, they take cards inside but I don’t think you can buy pumpkins or some of the outdoor food without cash. Can’t wait for next year already, hopefully niece will be old enough for the hay maze in the upstairs of the barn.

The Pumpkin Fest is great. Free hayrides, lots of things to do for cheap. Just steer the kids away from the pony rides and it is affordable and great fun. The sweet corn is yummy.

Jubilee Farm is a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Farm. This is the farm my sister and Brother-​in-​law are members of. They have two options.
You can pay to be a member and get your share of the vegetables and fruits farmed here, or you can work for it.
You can work 4 hours a week and get your share.
I worked four hours a week, with my Brother-​in-​Law and harvested Leeks, Peppers, Eggplant, Grapes, and Fennel, All of which were delish.
Needless to say this is a great place.
Farmer Eric and Wendy are great people, lots of enthusiasm and they truly enjoy what they do.
Head on down to the farm for public days for pick-​your-​own pumpkin days which includes a hay-​ride and various other activities, a band, or you can watch and help Farmer Eric load the trebuchet and launch a pumpkin.
All in all this is a great local place to get your veggies and fruit and get involved in a fun activity that is really worth something.
