This hotel is older and it shows in the wear and tear of the ages. The rooms are small the carpet is grimy you don’t want to walk around in your room barefoot the pool area is so full of chlorine that it burns your eyes in the atmosphere… Never again

This Hampton location is fabulous. My wife and son stayed there for three nights while our house was having work done, and they took our cats. The front desk person was extremely helpful and friendly. They requested early check in, and the room was ready when they arrived. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the breakfast is plentiful and good(two waffle makers!) and the service is excellent. We highly recommend it.

Good hotel right off of North Avenue. Clean and accessible. Pool and Jacuzzi are a big selling point. The pool is large and the jacuzzi is nice and clean. It’s a nice place to hang out and relax. The rooms, in general are what you would expect. Clean, fairly roomy and serves the purpose.

Fantastic stay staff was amazing we are repeat guest and by far the best stay yet. Boys enjoyed the pool having a floor dedicated to dogs is wonderful. Breakfast is standard hotel breakfast but area was clean. Laundry room was a nice bonus I hate taking wet clothes home. Overall a very nice stay.

My wife had to come to Carol Stream to train people. This place was recommended by her work. It’s an inexpensive hotel that’s been newly renovated. Beds are comfortable, everything clean and they offered complementary toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving cream in case you forgot. There is also a small«store» where you can purchase other things that you might have left at home. Breakfast in the morning is included and the staff bakes cookies free … all the time. Seriously, I had some at midnight. Small pool and a pathetic looking workout room are some of the other amenities. Nice place to stay. Staff is helpful. Clean. Breakfast bar was decent for the price. The only complaint I have is that it is located right on a major highway with only one way to get in and out. You need a car, because you’d have to walk on the highway to get anywhere. God forbid that you have to visit Carol Stream, Illinois, this is a great place to stay. Carol Stream is basically an industrial wasteland sprinkled with residential areas.

Once more we had a nice stay. The staff is top shelf and each time we have booked a room here, the customer service level has been consistently excellent. The housekeeping personnel were friendly and even re-arranged our toiletries so they were not cluttered on the sink(nice touch). The only issue was the air conditioner unit was not working when we check-in, but they quickly repaired it once we informed the front-desk. This was our 3rd stay here and it will continue to be our hotel when we visit Carol Stream. This Hampton Inn is always clean; the swimming is heated but the morning breakfast buffet needs to be updated, it’s been exactly the same on each visit.

NOTE: it’s under heavy renovation right now. Hopefully it emerges as a 4– or 5-star location. This is a pretty basic Hampton. Service was mediocre during my recent stay with my family. I reserved a roll-away bed, and called the morning of my check-in to be sure they had it ready, and they said«yes.» We arrived late to find no roll away. They did eventually find one, but it took the young desk manager about 20 minutes as she walked floor-to-floor looking for one. It was just by luck that she found one, not due to it having been reserved.(Lack of a bed would have soured this review significantly.) I won’t take away points for their breakfast service, which was a temporary set up in a conference room(due to the renovation work). The food was typical Hampton stuff, which is okay, not great. I might stay here again, post renovation, depending on what happens to the pricing.

Well, soon it will be great. It’s in the middle of renovation. But, the rooms are comfy and clean and new. The lobby looks like it will be good. The worst thing? Nothing in walking distance. Nothing.

We recommended out of town guests stay here 7÷5−7÷7. When they checked in the entire lobby was torn up(no warning on web sight). AC did not work in their room the first night. Manager brought a fan to the room which also did not work. Guests moved to another room the next night but AC not working in that room either. Ended up in original room where unit had been replaced. Very embarrassed to have recommended this hotel.

My husband and I had checked into this hotel at the last minute, after having been on the road for 15 hours. We were tired and wanted a clean and halfway decent priced room to stay, to rest up before continuing onto Wisconsin for a family wedding. We got checked in at around 1:30 am. The room was clean and the bed had nice bed linens. Although we had the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on our door, we were rudely awaken at 9:30 am, by some guy who was going to room to room claiming to be checking the internet connection. I am not a pleasant person when woken up and told the guy he had woke us up. Because he wasn’t with the hotel, he said he had the right to knock on the door. BIGMISTAKE! At least the hotel staff were kind enough to give us the room for free for our inconvenience.
