Henna Craze

Sumeyya is wonderful! She makes her own henna by hand so you know it’s good for you — even if you have eczema or other sensitive skin issues like I do. She’s sweet, responsive and really creative! She’s willing to meet you wherever you are (within reason, of course) and is just so fun to work with. She makes the experience kind of educational too while still keeping a fun environment by explaining what she’s doing, how to best take care of it and more. And it smells and feels wonderful! I will definitely use her services if I have a need again, as it was absolutely perfect for my wedding day. Thanks so much Sumeyya!

Sumeyya is a true artist. Her work it truly extraordinary.
I hired Sumeyya to do my sister’s bridal mendhi and for the mendhi party. From my first communication to the end of the party, Sumeyya was a true professional. She responded to my requests in a timely manner, and charged a very, very reasonable amount.
The henna work she did for the bridal party was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. As was the work she did for our guests the mendhi party. All of the guests raved about their designs (several future brides in attendance already planned on hiring her for their events) She worked quickly and efficiently, and was able to create individual designs for all the ladies at the party.
The Henna Symeyya uses is fantastic. She adds lavender and tea tree oil, so it smells wonderful when it’s being applied. It felt like a spa day. The final color was a wonderful dark dark red that lasted a long time. She also provided us with care instructions that ensured that the designs looked beautiful on the wedding day.
I highly recommend Sumeyya; she was a true joy to work with and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would. I wouldn’t think of hiring anyone else for future events that I host.

Sumeyya traveled to my house in Logan Square to provide bridal henna for me, and a party design for my sister a couple of days before my wedding. She was very professional, quick and efficient, and a pleasure to work with.
She listened to our requests, provided sample pictures and was able to create a unique design on the spot that surpassed my expectations.
The henna she uses is mixed herself with fresh ingredients and she is very thorough with providing instructions for after-​care.
The next day, the color was a bit lighter than I thought it should be and I was concerned since it was the day before my wedding. I sent Sumeyya a text message and photo of my hands and feet, and she responded right away assuring me that the color would darken by my wedding day. Even though I was skeptical at first, she was right!
By my wedding day, the color turned to a deep reddish brown and it was beautiful! I received several compliments on the henna and it turned out really gorgeous in our wedding photos.
I highly recommend Sumeyya for henna!
I also recommend getting your henna done 2 days in advance of your wedding, or any other event that you want the color to be perfect for.

Sumeyya was great! She came over about 2 evenings before my wedding day for my Bridal Henna (hands and feet). When she was done, I was so happy with my henna. She also left clear instructions on what to do fo rthe next 12 – 24 hours for the henna color to darken and it was all worth it — She is excellent, a complete professional and I would recommend her for any one looking for LEGIT professional quality henna work :)

I had an unusual request for Sumeyya. I asked her to do a henna crown for me. I had lost my hair during chemotherapy treatment and wanted to have a henna crown to make something positive out of a very negative experience (the chemo was negative, not the henna).
I communicated several times via email before my appointment. Sumeyya is a very sweet young woman.
At the appointment, we spent a few minutes discussing what type of design I would like. She has several portfolios to look through. One of the reasons I chose Sumeyya is that she makes her own henna so I know what goes in it. Other henna artists may buy the henna premixed and at that point, you really aren’t sure of the ingredients.
My beautiful henna crown took her only about 50 minutes. She does it all free hand. I was thrilled when I saw the final result in the mirror.
It has been 48 hrs. since the application. The henna has dried and flaked off and I now have the design in a light orange-​ish/​brown color.
I will get the word out about Henna Craze. Highly recommend her services.

Being a photographer, it is paramount that the bride and all of her guests look amazing on their wedding day. Sumeyya and her team at Henna Craze do just that. I have worked with her team a handful of times and they always deliver a consistently gorgeous result. On top of that the process is always fun too. You are sometimes alone with your artist for two or more hours and having someone as personal and amiable as Sumeyya is just wonderful.

Sumeyya came to our house to do mehndi for our guest’s before my brother’s wedding. She did such an amazing job! Everyone loved her designs and the color came out great. She was so easy to work with from start to finish and gave out these great little care instruction cards. I would highly, highly recommend her for any function you may be having.

I’ve had henna done by Sumeyya at least three times over the years (all at events, one of which she hosted), and I’ve always had an amazing experience. Her prices are great, the quality of her work is fantastic, and she knows what’s up – she is very educated about her line of work (as in, won’t do black henna, will be able to tell you WHY that’s awful, etc.). Everytime I’ve gotten something done by her, I always think about getting it made permanent – that’s how much I love her stuff!
