Mr A’s Wine & Spirits Depot

Let me preface this review by saying it is based solely on the craft beer selection… per ushe.

They seemed to have a decent selection of crappy beer, liquor, and wine, but I only came for the craft beer so I literally bypassed all of the other things listed. On the craft beer front, Mr. A’s did NOT disappoint. I would have been surprised to walk in to this place and leave with anything, let alone have a hard time choosing. Alas, there are at least 3 fridges of craft brews to choose from and I actually had to whip out some debating skills to pick which sixer was leaving with me that day. They had a good selection of hoppy beers (my favorite!), a variety from each brewery (anywhere from 2 – 5 choices from each), and I would bet they could order some more obscure beers if you really wanted them to as well. Either way, I saw a good enough variety without begging for more (Bells, Lagunitas, Ska, Deschutes, Two Brothers, Victory, Flying Dog, etc…). I did not see any 3 Floyd’s for the die hard fans, but I was satisfied nonetheless.
Bottom line: It’s no Binny’s, but it’s got nice owners, a decent selection, and could just be my new favorite liquor store close to home.
