Star Chem-Dry

After returning from being out of town over Christmas, our sump pump had failed. We immediately fixed it, but the basement carpet was in bad shape and there was an odor. It didn’t flood, but there were areas of moisture and the carpet needed to be thoroughly dried and cleaned. We called Star Chem-​Dry and they came right out. Gary first let us use their high powered dryer at no charge. He then came back a day later (morning of New Year’s Eve) and thoroughly cleaned our basement carpet. The process got rid of the odor and it is now like having a brand new basement. We were so happy, we had him clean our living room carpet too! We are fans of the Chem-​Dry method– much less wear and tear on the carpet than traditional steamers and it leaves a pleasant scent. I highly recommend Gary and Star Chem-​Dry. They went over-​and-​above and we are going to have them back in a few months to do the rest of our house.

We called Star Chem-​Dry when we discovered our cat had been using the carpet as a litter box. Gary came out pre-​treated the carpet with purt and cleaned 2 days later. Everything was great. He got rid of the odor and stains. We have used Chem-​Dry in the past in other states we lived in but not in Illinois. I would not call anyone else to clean the carpets.
