Oh how I miss Banh Mi Che Cali :(This was the first Banh Mi shop I found in Texas so i was super excited about giving it a try because I was obsessed with a Banh Mi shop in Fullerton, CA. Unfortunately it was below sub par. The Banh Mi sandwhich was just okay. The eggrolls were left out so they were cold and the and Ban Bao had a weird taste/texture than it should. The store itself could use a deep cleaning. I was left disappointed and craving quality food.

Standing in front of this place now at 2pm, sign above says open 10a-10p, doors are closed and a woman comes out saying«go across the street»??? For Mexican food??? WTF… Don’t waste your time here.

I had a bit of a hard time finding the place first of all and drove past it several times before I finally saw the sign for it. The inside of the building looked a bit unfinished and not very clean. I came here for a banh mi sandwich because nammi truck was closed and while the banh mi itself was decent, it definitely did not live up to nammi truck. Towards the end of the sandwich, the meat was kind of chewy. I also got some of the items in the display. These were mistakes. The steam bun wasn’t bad, but the sticky rice that paired with the coconut sauce was super hard and I could not finish it. :( The price however, was really really cheap. Banh Mi here cost about $ 3 and if you buy 5, you get one for free. So two stars from me for the banh mi before the chewy meat part and the price.

Friendly service and good bahn mo sandwiches at good prices. I’m also a huge fan of the egg rolls & boba. Move over Subway! I can get a bahn mi foot long at Bah Lee for $ 3! Also love that this place is literally around the corner from work.

Don’t be fooled by the abandoned look of this place, the strange guys making the sandwiches, or the fact that when I went on a weekend, nobody was there(it might have been an off day) — they have the BESTPACKEDSANDWICHES around! Buy 5 get 1 free too! The bread is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and a full size sandwich, not the small thin airy ones. They are generous with the meat and veggies, just like back in the old days… before restaurants started skimping! I was pleasantly shocked at how good these were.

Great Vietnamese banh mi with decent quality at decent prices! Usually they have a special which is buy 5, get one free! Great deal which comes out to less than $ 3 a sandwich! I like the dac Biet which is «the special» bc it is full of the different cold cuts n meats including Pâté! That’s the secret to a good banh mi sandwich including the bread! The other good one is the bbq pork! Easy n tasty! My mom n auntie approve! Decent for banh mi on this side of town(Carrolton). :)

My friend introduced me to this place, and it has now ruined me on all other banh mi options. The bread is deliciously chewy, and it comes with plenty of pickled veggies. The quality of the ingredients, including the meat, just amazed me, considering they’re only $ 3 each. If you buy 5, you get the 6th one free– just do it! And if you pay with cash, there’s no tax charged. They also offer drinks, but there’s nowhere to sit and eat, so everything is made to-go. If you ask, they can separate the veggies from the bread/meat, which is very helpful if you order multiple banh mi’s and want to eat them later. In regards to the location, they’re situated in a middle of a shopping strip at the corner of Belt Line and Josey. If you see Phở Pastuer II, they’re a few doors down from them.

$ 3.25 for Banh mi-VNese style sandwiches and buy 5 get one free. i like Special Banh mi which is hard to find else where in Carrollton-FB. Since it is VNese style sandwiches so pls don’t expect it to be clean, always fresh and americanized quality as Jimmy john but you could definitely give it a try.

Came here just as they were closing. Even though the hours say 9pm, they close an hour early regularly the owner said if no one shows up. I was the last customer of the day. That said, the banh mis are good, not great. There is too much pâté ratio for my liking. The price is $ 3 each and you have to buy 5 to get one free. Additionally, if you pay with cash, they don’t charge tax, otherwise, tax is charged with a credit card. They have a variety of other baked goods that did not look too impressive. It is a small operation in a relatively busy strip mall. Parking is easy, just call ahead to make sure they are open.

This is probably the only place I go to around the area for banh mi’s. They cost more at phở restaurants and you get less. Ba lee offers $ 3 for each banh mi. I get their special combination banh mis. It has cold cut meat with pâté and veggies. If you want to eat it right away, tell them to toast it for you. It comes out hot and crunchy. Their banh mi’s are overstuffed so you get plenty of meat. They also sell bread and pâté to go so you can make them at home.

A no frills place to get an authentic banh mi with an easy to order picture menu of sandwiches and a chalkboard list of fruit drinks. Stopped in around 2:00pm so it was empty, but they were quick to take my order of the #2 Special Combination and an iced Vietnamese coffee. For me, the best thing about a banh mi is the bread. It’s not just bread, not yet a baguette. Light airy with a crispy outside unlike a traditional baguette that is chewy inside. I could eat the bread alone. The banh mi had the perfect balance of pâté, cold cuts, cilantro, jalapenos, and pickled carrots and daikon. The coffee is unlike anything you will ever get at Starbucks. Drip chicory coffee over sweetened condensed milk on ice. If you are in need of a caffeine hit it’s the way to go and it will spoil you for all other coffees.

The meat and the radish were great as well as the price. But the bread was stale. I’m thinking they just had an off day. For the price, I’ll come by again.

Pretty good banh mi. $ 3 each or buy 5 and get 6th one free. I ordered the meatball(xiu mai) and pâté banh mi and they were both very good. Each one was filled with pickled carrots and daikon and fresh cilantro and sliced jalapeño. I judge my banh mi based on the baguette and was very satisfied with these. These are the types of baguettes that are soft and don’t hurt the roof of your mouth when you bite into them, which is the type I prefer. They accept credit card here and also sell other Vietnamese fast food, but there’s no seating inside. To go orders only! If I’m in the Carrollton area I would definitely stop by Ba Le again, but I prefer the banh mi at Quoc Bao in Garland.

Best authentic Vietnamese sand which I love it here. When I come here I always order the special sandwich. They always have a special like buy four get one free. Not sure if they still have it but it’s well worth my trip to go and pick up the sandwiches. If you ever been to Cali for Vietnam sandwiches this is exactly the same. They also have home made buns and small desserts. You always have to order to go this is not a dine in café. The place is small and remember cash only.

This place is just off the chain delicious. This no frills Bahn mi shop is setup a bit strange as you come in. The menu is very straight forward and you just pick a number. There isn’t a spot you can sit down and eat as it’s very minimal and divey. Nonetheless, their delicious classicly wrapped waxed paper covered sandwiches here are amazing. You can get a delicious pork bahn mi here. It takes about 10 minutes so you might want to order ahead if you can. The bread is a perfect crunch and the pickled and julianned carrots are a delicious entourage to this sandwich. For 2.50, it’s pretty much a steal. The grilled proteins are pretty tasty as well. It’s packed wit flavor. There is a lot of balance to this delicious sandwich here. Can’t wait to come back here again.

One of the few places in the area(not including Arlington) that has decent banh mi. The guy is pretty friendly too – that’s rare at any Asian restaurant/shops nowadays. Sandwiches are buy 5, get one free. The bread isn’t bad, they don’t skimp on toppings. There were several sandwiches that got crossed off the menu so not much selection, but it’s all good. It’s our go-to spot for banh mi for now… wished they had more bakery items.

Can be hard to find this place in a strip mall a little off Beltline(being on the feeder won’t help you find it – you have to be looking at all the signs above the little shops in the plaza), and the plaza is far back, off the feeder. It is located right next to a giant Asian grocery(stage right) and has the typical set up of a Banh Mi joint. Tiny, white, glass case full of goodness, boxes of bread loafs, paper for wrapping, surly shopkeeper in a white apron wanting you to hurry up and choose. All that it should be. The prices are around $ 3, perfect. I got 2 of course and ate one there and one on the way home. Giant. I should have eaten only 1 but I don’t care. You can’t let those little buddies get stale, and my husband is(crazily) not a fan. I don’t care; more for me. I will just pretend I think you will like this so I can keep it for myself when you politely say no. That was my plan the whole time. I got a bbq pork and a traditional with pâté. Vegetables are cut super thin like they should be! Very good stuff. I got a salted lemonade to go. Prime! So stop in if you get a second! There are tons of viet shops around, though, so I am not sure how well this one compares to others in Carrollton or along Josey. Lots to choose from, but I was very pleased with my pick. Kind of hard to get to for an in-and-out, though. If I were to move back to Dallas tomorrow, though, that is definitely the hood I would move to because of all the food shops around. Tons of Vietnamese. Thai, and Central American shops abound! A few Japanese places too. And amazing grocery stores.
