The restaurant space appears to be undergoing construction and looked closed for business.

I really respect what owner, Jody Matteson, is doing here. The formula is simple: open a local, neighborhood breakfast and lunch sit-down/pick up restaurant near the Carrollton/Farmers Branch warehouse district off of 35. Serve a variety of breakfasts, burgers, salads, and sandwiches. Be incredibly nice with quick service. She’s succeeded completely and Café Matteson is… ok. I’ve had a salad and a «pita» sandwich here, and both were forgettable expect for the fact that the«pita» was actually a wheat tortilla with meat, cheese, sauce, and nothing else. Granted, they could have very well ran out of pitas, but some rye bread would have been nice. I’m sad. I really wanted it to be my favorite place to grab lunch on weekdays. Give it a try, though. The staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable, and maybe I missed an awesome breakfast or great cheezburger.
