The hot sauce wasn’t real sauce. It tasted more like canned tomato sauce with some chopped onion and fish sauce. The sauce did not seem to complement any of the other flavors of the food presented. The accompanying chips were also bland and tasteless. The rice was the only highlight as the charro beans would have been better canned. The taco had a tasty shell with ground beef and not much else. Who puts a whole green tomato slice on a taco. The chicken enchilada was filled with chicken that had seen the steamer for too long. The sauce was good though. The service was dismal and outright poor. Plenty of help around except they were all doing things other than working. The atmosphere has some potential although it was a bit sketchy due to the cleanliness.

The service here was great and very friendly. I went with two of my friends and had a great experience. The food was brought to the table promptly and tasted great. I ordered the gorditas and will definitely recommend them as well as this restaurant. Great job Los Jalapeños!

Best margaritas in Dallas. Well priced. Great chips and hot sauce. Enchiladas are good too. I go here for lunch once a week if not twice.

The salsa wasn’t authentic salsa. It was hot sauce(Valentina’s) with little chopped up onion and cilantro in it. Wtf? Gross. The large house margarita is good but $ 7. My date got the salmon salad, but the salmon was dried out or overcooked. The sampler platter was okay. The thimble of cheese I read in another review was a true story. It was barely enough. I doubt I’ll ever go back.

Beware they charge $ 1.50 for THREE tortillas. We normally get a single order of beef and chicken fajitas and they give you a thimble full of cheese and only 3 tortillas and then if you ask for more they charge you $ 1.50. Ridiculous.

I have a new favorite Tex-Mex place. We had breakfast and Bloody Marys. The quality and taste were outstanding for both. The service was prompt and friendly. Prices for most breakfast items was about $ 9. The restaurant patrons largely spoke Spanish and appeared blue/brown collar. To me that was another indicator the place was a good fit for us. I highly recommend Los Jalapeños.

I absolutely love this place, the service is great! The waitress are friendly, if you ever go there ask for Salomon, he is great! Fast and always with a smile makes every costumer go from having a bad day to having a great one! I love the«Parrillada for two» because it has a variety of meats and vegetables it’s just delicious!

Quite possibly the worst Tex-Mex I have ever eaten. We ordered take-out so I have no idea about the service but the food was awful. Chile Relleno was taco meat in a poblano pepper and fried. Plain, plain, plain. Apparently since cheese is one of the filling choices they leave it out if you order it with meat. Very little taste, unless you count salt. Also got the chimichanga and, per another reviewer’s suggestion, ordered it with fajita beef. It came swimming in sauce to the point that the whole thing was soggy. Whatever, I’m hungry. First bite, BAM! Salt, salt, salt. All you can taste. Once that passes you realize how tough the meat is. Overall, just… disgusting.

This place is right by my house and I haven’t been here in 9 years and I don’t know why?! We had the chiliques with chirizo that was better than any I’ve had! Hot sauce was good, too. I was pleasantly surprised and will be back for dinner.

Update #2: someone must have read my review, because service has been much improved from our terrible experience. I gave it another shot and service was great, and I gave it two more times to make sure it was consistent. Service still isn’t always perfect, but it’s pretty dang good. This is again one of my favorite local, cheap Tex Mex places. Thanks for picking up the service, Los Jalepenos.

At first when my friend told me we were going to ‘Los Jalapenos’ — I thought he was kidding. Truly kidding. I figured he made up the name to be funny. Lo and behold, it’s actually called Los Jalapenos! And it’s delicious! The food was fantastic(I had the grilled salmon salad — SOGOOD), and there was live music that night. Not the too loud, annoying, you can’t hold a conversation loud music, but really good music. I’m not sure who the performer was, but he played everything from Mumford and Sons, to the Beatles, to Country.(I love all of those, so basically it was an awesome date!). But seriously. Great food, good atmosphere. I’d def recommend.

Found this restaurant on my iPhone since it was nearby where I was working at so I gave it a shot. Once I pulled up I kinda got a bad feeling because of how it looked from the outside but once I went in it was pretty nice there was an elderly duo singing live oldies music there was people dancing the bar was popping chips and salsa are really good. Ordered the enchilada dinner with was delicious our waitress was very nice checked up on us every 5 minutes and then and Elvis impersonator showed up to sing also. But then again it was on a Friday night so you might see a lot of drunkies showing up(very amateur) so I recommend not take you kids on weekend nights!

Chips were a bit tough for my liking, good and Hot hot sauce needed a tissue my nose started running, the enchilada plate was good but way too much food for me and I eat big. Never had to pay $ 3.00 for a Dr. pepper before. The rest of the meal was reasonable. Will go back to try huevoes rancheros. Sounded good in the menu.

The food its ok, big plates, average taste, good service, chips good but the red sauce(salsa) it’s terrible after couple min makes you feel sick with heartburn cause contained vinegar instead real fresh mild jalapeño, other than this, I will recommend this place, I mean its not the great but its good and affordable price and fast good service.

The food here is really good and they bring your food out fast. When we sat down we immediately got chips and salsa(really good). Our food came out in 10 minutes and the server always came to check up on us. You get good service and good food. I ordered the chimichanga and my sister got the vegi fajitas. The inside of the place is nice and they also have a bar. The people that gave this place a one star review have no idea what they area talking about. One person said the fajitas were room temp not true because I just posted a picture of steaming fajitas and you can actually see the steam. another person said the squash was mushy but that makes no sense because the Mexican culture doesn’t put squash in there food. The funniest review of all is when someone said try the molcajete I could swim in it. Moljacate is not food it’s an item used to grind avocados. Don’t listen to the one star reviews because they have no idea what they are talking about.

Decent, I guess. I bought a Groupon for this place and gave it a whirl. The service was pretty good — the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was mediocre. I had the queso as an appetizer and sour cream chicken enchiladas for the entrée. The queso was certainly nothing special– Velveeta is better and that’s saying something. The enchiladas were alright… Not anything spectacular. Bottom line: there’s a lot better Mexican food out there than this(ie. Anamias in Coppell). Probably wouldn’t go back again.

Sweet Mother of God, this place is horrendous. FOOD: Bland and no flavor. We ordered the fajita al caborn and there was not enough salt and pepper in this world to even remotely make this food decent. The squash in the Fajitas was overcooked and would squish in your mouth similar to how jarred baby peas would. I have been here twice and the food sucked.twice. SERVICE: This was the worst part of our visit. Have you ever met someone that looked like they wanted to slap the piss out of you every time you asked for more water? The waiter was so rude, I even contemplated jumping off the imaginary bridge my subconscious had created to escape the twilight zone of never ending horrible service. My waitress was so mean and she scorned us for asking for more pico because she felt like what we had should have been sufficient. Little did she know, that the pico was the only thing that could assist me in swallowing the cardboard in front me that was pretending to be food. I will never come back here, I would rather eat the microscopic bits of dirt under my shoes.

Nothing really stood out about this place, our waiter was grumpy, so that is why this place only gets 3 stars. I ordered the queso blanco, it came out really runny, and there really wasn’t any flavor to it. I ordered the al carbon beef, and I wasn’t really impressed. Nothing really stood out, the beef was soft and flavorful, could have used more seasoning. If you’re in the mood for average tex mex, stop by here.
