Mobil 1 Lube Express

Very expensive! Very pushy sales talk! Just a CONVENTIONAL Oil blend was $ 65! Their synth oil is 85. Crazy. Seen much cheaper placed with better service. They keep offering you extra products and services while you wait. Annoying!

Went here just today. Not pleased at all. Lost track of time, my inspection is up today, 3÷31÷15. Went to mobile 1 asking about an engine light, they checked it, said it’s «A gross leak» i responded «i guarantee it’s the gas cap, i know it’s bad» he responds «No, usually a gross leak is more severe.» I said okay, I’m gonna go to Advanced Auto and get a second opinion. He says «well, I’ll reset the computer to get the light off.» I said fine. Whatever works. Go to Advanced, guy can’t find anything wrong. I suggest the gas cap, he inspects the cap and says it’s bad. So i replace it, go back to Mobile One to get it inspected and he (THE SAME GUY THAT RESET MY CAR) says «yeah you gotta drive it for 100 miles to get the computer to be ready to inspect»… Why did you reset it in the first place!!! i know I’m not suppose to use foul language on here but are you F-​ing kidding me? So not only is my inspection over due now, but i have at least another two days before i drive 100 miles to get it to be inspected. WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Common sense must not be a pre-​requisite to be employed here.

So a week later my oil pan cover falls off and was dragging a bit on yhe ground, so I went back to see if they could just reattach it. Its really easy, especially when you have the bay underneath and you don’t even have to lift the car. They just said no. The Texico on Frankford and Midway is great and the Firestone really isnt that bad.

Seems like all of the rest of the places. Offered me another service before he even started the oil change. Is there a place left that just changes your oil without trying to sell you something else?

AWFUL PLACE! LOOK AT OTHER REVIEWS! THIS PLACE SUCKS. Took my car in and Raymond worked with his boss to up my price at every cost. Told me my lights looked funny so they wanted to charge me extra to clean my lights, they wanted to charge me $ 330 for my brakes! They told me my springs weren’t working, they didn’t even take them off the car to test it! They didn’t even move my car! Didn’t call me back to tell me what was going on, I had to call! Rediculous! SCAM!!! SCAM!!! This was a Jiffy Lube before, and the same manager is still there. The Jiffy lube was sold because they lost business from customers who knew it was a SCAM! Started a $ 50 to fix my brakes, told me that me meant $ 330!!! SCAM!!!

Went in for an oil change. A week later noticed an oil leak, went to my regular place to get it checked out, they told me it was leaking because the old filter was still in place not sure why they wouldn’t have changed the filter but this is not acceptable.

My first REALLY GOOD experience with Mobil 1. I think it’s because the mechanics here actually care. The last time I had my oil changed at a Mobil 1 (off Mockingbird in Dallas)
That time, the oil filter wasn’t put on properly (twice) and I was leaking oil. Thought it was my oil pan. They offered to keep topping me off if the oil kept running low, but didn’t bother to check the placement of the filter.
This time, I drive off the lot and get home only to have my check engine light come on. The code it was throwing?

Caused by?
— Dirty engine oil
— Low engine oil level
— Faulty intake valve control solenoid
— Intake valve control solenoid harness is open or shorted
— Intake valve control solenoid circuit poor electrical connection
What they did: left the air filter out when they started the car for a second. It triggered the code.
So they took a look at the car, remembered doing that from yesterday. And had it fixed in about 10 mins. He said if any other codes come back on to just come back at any time and they would be glad to help.
