RAC Performance

Overall, a great car dealership. I purchased my dream Porsche from RAC. Michael was my salesman. Great service and a fair price. There were several paint chips in the front and back bumpers, and Michael had them repainted. I would buy from them again.

I had been looking for a Porsche 996 to replace a 2004 that was totaled in an accident in 2014. I searched everywhere and found a top notch 1999 at RAC Performance. For a 17-​year old car it is in great shape and RAC did a great job getting it to that point with a number of fixes before putting it up for sale. I now have a really solid car and I’m loving being back behind the wheel of a 911! Thanks to everyone at RAC for sourcing good quality cars and making sure that are up to snuff before putting them on the market. It gave me a great deal of comfort that RAC had worked hard to make sure I was getting a quality car.

Hans is the go-​to guy in this area for PPI inspections. He’s heavily recommended off Rennlist, 6Speed and PCA groups as the guru.
His PPI charges are pretty reasonable, I believe it was somewhere between $ 300 and $ 350 (please double check with him). Either way, it’s worth every penny. He goes through the car, provides a detailed finding and also does a paint meter report and also provides the over-​rev report.
He was able to save me from a very costly purchase that I am glad I passed on. Well worth spending a few hundred than buying into a huge headache. I would trust Hans with another PPI. Unfortunately I live in Southern California so I cannot comment on anything other than PPI services.
Hans was extremely professional and courteous with any questions I had. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here.

I took my Lamborghini Gallardo to RAC to have the a/​c fixed. When I picked the car up on the drive home the lug nuts on the wheel they removed during the service came loose on the highway. They had not tightened it. When I get home I jack up the car and the wheel is very loose. I remove the wheel and there is damage to the wheel, rotor and hub would have been stressed. RAC said they would make it right, they towed the car to their shop. After they look at it they tell me they will replace the lug nuts, but not any of the other damaged parts stating it is only cosmetic damage. I told them it is irrelevant if it is only cosmetic or not. The damage was caused do to their negligence.
Do not go to this shop. They do not stand by their work.

RAC has been servicing my cars for years. Started with Porsche and then gradually started moving my other cars over to them for service. They have done an excellent job with my classic 8 series BMW, Ferrari, Maserati and Aston Martin (it is really difficult to find a qualified facility for the Aston and the local dealer is horrible. I would bet RAC has more Aston service customers than the dealer!). It’s awesome to have a one stop shop to take care of my ecclectic collection of cars with their ecclectic service issues. They also consigned my Porsche and Lotus for me. They found buyers with a month and everything went smoothly. The commission was well worth my time and effort with weeding out potential buyers, showing the car, etc. I dropped them off at RAC, they performed the pre-​sell inspections, detailed the cars, arranged transport and the next time I stopped by was to pick up checks.

Purchased a car they had on consignment. The car was nice and everything went well up to the end. Denver the sales manager was quick to respond to all my emails during negotiation and very helpful during sale with paperwork and such.
BUT after I paid for the car and drove it home I noticed some paint splashed up under the left rear of the car. Not a big deal but I emailed and emailed Denver simply asking if I could bring the car by and get the paint cleaned off. Dead silence from someone who was on top of every email I sent him during the sales process. Small things can become a big deal with me. He just wanted to sell the car but after the sale see ya.
Looks like service here is good but sales not so good. I’d stay away and buy elsewhere.

RAC Performance was dishonest in the representation of the car that they sold me. After taking possession of the vehicle, they REFUSED to communicated with over my concerns. I had to hire an attorney to remedy this situation. STAY FAR AWAY from RAC. They are a bunch of Liar’s and Cheats. Go on
, and you will see that I am not the only person they screwed over.

You guys sold my Ferrari 360. I left my license plates that say «NO JOB» that you were going to store for me to pickup when the car was sold. When I came in, the sales mgr couldn’t find them and promised to get back to me. I’ve called several times asking about the plates and never received a call back. I’m not sure who owns RAC but please tell me what has to happen in order to get a return call? I also called in several times as my car was being sold and didn’t get a call back either. Hanz has always been amazing but your sales department needs some serious help. PLEASE CALL ME BACK and return my plates. Matt

I used to take my Porsche 996 Turbo to RAC performance — I recently traded it in for an R8 and RAC helped with everything. They helped me negotiate a deal with the individual that was selling on eBay. They got a KILLER deal for me and even took care of the shipping. I then gave them my Porsche for the trade-​in. Once my R8 arrived, Hans hooked me up on GMG exhaust and lowering springs. Bob did the install and everything turned out perfectly.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else to purchase a German sports car. Their showroom is pretty killer too and worth a visit for those in or out of the market…

I came across RAC Performance years ago when I was looking for a place to service my Porsche. I have been bringing my Porsche to RAC for maintenance and service for over 5 years. Hans has always been a professional and friendly person who always make my experience with RAC Performance a very positive one. I highly recommend this place to anyone who either requires highest quality service on their existing exotic car or if they are in the market to purchase one.
The facility is extremely clean, and you will love looking at the inventory of Porsches and other luxury sports cars that are for sale.
If there was a 6^th star, I would give it to RAC !!

I came across RAC on online Porsche boards while looking for a reputable company to do a pre-​purchase inspection on a used vehicle. The reviews were right — RAC was excellent to work with. They fixed the few minor issues they found and arranged for out of state transportation for the vehicle. Hans (service) did a great job with the inspection and Craig (sales) helped us complete the transaction, and was tremendous to work with. I would absolutely work with them again and would highly recommend them to anyone.
