I’ve lived just North of this place for 5 years and finally stopped in the other day. Sadly, if a place doesn’t have much of an internet presence(or even customers who have posted pics of the menu) I’m a lot more hesitant to try a place out. I’m not sure why this place has tacked«and Seafood» onto their name. Their seafood options are limited to a few shrimp dishes that I could find on any restaurant’s menu(up to and including Chili’s) and the only other«seafood» on the menu is catfish. But from one catfish hater to another, catfish is neither edible nor is it seafood. Que mal! :P So lacking any«seafood» menu items of which the anticipatio had initially tantalized me enough to try the place before seeing the menu online, I went with my default interrogation of the waiter and asked«what’s best that doesn’t contain meat?»(I don’t like most meat). He steered me toward the pupusas. I ordered 4 different ones of the most popular non-meat pupusas. They were fantastic! They came with a big bucket of some sort of cabbage on the side which I googled and found out is called curtido. Wowza. While waiting for my order in the rather lacking atmosphere of futbol on tv and bad singer with a mic, I spied my fellow table mates eating their pupusas with the curtido and hot sauce. All three together made it total yumminess, that I probably wouldn’t have understood how to eat in the best fashion had I not spied on my neighbors! Seriously, pupusas on their own are meh, but add the curtido and the sauce and it’s a totally different ball game. I will say that while I was busy trying to read a book and ignore my surroundings, the TVs, the singer, and the other patrons; creo que escuche la palabra«gringa» varias veces. Pienso que not too many white people venture in here! LOL I will be back most definitely. My stars were not based on the yumminess of the pupusas and curtido, but rather the overall feel and how they are marketing themselves. If you want seafood, or chain restaurant atmosphere, don’t bother coming here. If you want hole-in-the-wall family-run eat what they do best and don’t mind being the«tourist» in a place that doesn’t cater to you, enjoy. I personally have no problem being the only white person in the room. For the right person this place is 4 to 5 star, for the average ‘Merican consumer, this place is 1 to 2 star.

Pupusas are the best– I haven’t been able to find a place that makes them right… I literally have tried everyone and they are all my favorites. The only thing about this place that makes them a 4 instead of a 5 is the language and service is sometimes shaky– basically let the person who actually speaks english answer the phone first– it might help. The wait can be long. but, I’ve learned to call before arrival and the food is so good ti’s worth the wait!

Horrible service!!! I have actually seen a woman having her hair dyed in the middle of the dining room. Several times I’ve called to order and they’re upset if you don’t speak Spanish. I’ve had it take 45 minutes to get a burrito only for them to not have any salsa made. Papusas are good, but if you want quality food and services then avoid this place. I work next door and they have lost our business.

Pupusas that is all. Best place to get them. They are seriously delicious and a bang for your buck here the atmosphere leaves much to be desired but the food is so damn good the tacos are good too but the pupusas are what you should come for. The service is ok it’s better if you have Spanish speaking friend lol but for the price it’s worth the wait.

Cheap food, cheap drinks, pretty decent food, need I say more? I mean where can you find a restaurant and pay for everyone and still have money in your wallet? By this I mean, you feel like a king or something paying for everyone’s tab and than your full? Thats amazing! Please everyone attention, everyone, come try out their papusas which are something unique of its own self. With the many choices of the inside filling you can choose from just cheese, Bean and cheese, Pork and cheese, chicken, spinach, and something else I forget but they’re all good and you may also top off the papusas with a lettuce topping which is pretty tasty. In addition to my favorite choices of papusas I usually get a chicken tamale, which is wrapped in a banana leaf and man, its amazing! I will wait to hear from my fellow Unilocaler’s on this one.
