Office hours are from 9AM-​4PM Monday through Friday, and vary on weekends. After hours checkins are available. Come stay at one of the only RV parks in the Dallas-​Fort Worth metroplex area — we’re located just across from the old-​fashioned Sandy Lake Amusement Park. In the heart of metroplex, our spacious park features a variety of site types including pull thru’s, concrete patios are also available on some sites.

Sandy Lake guests enjoy taking a dip in our swimming pool, or simply relaxing on our picturesque patio. We also plan plenty of activities to help our guests become friends — including pancake breakfasts, crafts, coffee hours, religious services and more.

Our grounds also feature two laundry facilities, a clubhouse with exercise facilities, and a small store selling snacks and RV supplies. Pet owners are more than welcome, and we provide a modest dog run for your convenience.

The roads are atrocious and there are stray cats everywhere!!! The management changes every couple of years but none of them do anything to fix the roads or the cat condition. There are so many cats that roam around and breed. The cats are a menace… even peeing on our front door and cars. It’s ridiculous. The only good thing about this place is that it is centrally located.

Obviously a lot of the reviews here are really old and out dated. I stayed here for five months in the fall and winter of 2013. I enjoyed my stay and thought the office staff was great. He spaces are extremely close together but that didn’t bother me. What did bother me was someone else’s hook up box being in your front yard when you step out side your door.
This is not a place where you go camping.
It is a long term place. Great access to a lot of the Dallas area. Easy to get to both DFW and love field airport.

If you need a place to send one night this place would be o.k. If you want to stay any longer don’t stay here. The spaces are super close, no room to sit outside. Almost all concrete and asphalt. Very little grass. The pool is tiny. The office closes very early on the weekends. I was doing laundry at 4:00 in the afternoon and went to go get change at the office and they closed at 3:00. Was not impressed at all with this place. Would not recommend or would not stay here again.

I agree with prior review, only I drove through and saw how tight it was in there, then I called and inquired about a site. I really got the impression that they didn’t need any business, they had a spot they might grudgingly rent to me, but when I found at they didn’t have cable t.v. that was the tipping point and I decided to look elsewhere. They also charge more than a KOA in California with the amenities. I guess it is truly supply and demand. Odd with so many cow pastures around…

I can’t speak to what a stay at this RV park would be like since I never got past the front desk. I was made to fell very unwelcome from the moment I walked through the office door. I walked in and ask about a couple of spaces I had seen on my initial drive through and a «gentlemen» grunted «you don’t pick your spaces, we pick them for you». I was then informed they were almost always full and he began to check on the computer. He growled they were over ninety percent full. I realized right then how they treated customers and I would not be one of them. Other negatives I noticed were that the RV’s were so close to each other, you could reach out your window and touch the next RV. I guess you can be rude and cramped if you are the only RV campground in Carrolton, Texas. What ever happened to saying «Hello, how may I help you»?
