Taco Bueno

Never been to Taco Bueno before, but it was interesting. I placed an order for a Bueno Chilada platter and a Mexi Dip and chips. I ordered the white cheddar jalapeño queso as one of the dips, and they gave me a different queso. After I got that sorted out, I tried the food. To their credit, the guac and the white cheddar jalapeño queso were pretty good. The chips, however, were kind of stale. The tortillas for the enchiladas were pretty gummy, which was sad. The beans and the rice seemed a little old, like they left it sitting in the pot for a couple days.
But finally the reason for the 1 star. The Dr. Pepper tasted very wrong. (No, that’s not it.) So I got Sierra Mist. At some point, I noticed a sunken treasure at the bottom. No big deal, as long as I don’t drink down to the bottom. So after I drank most of it, I went up and got a refill. And what would come bubbling out of the fountain but little, dead gnat. Fully intact, mind you, but dead. I told the fellow at the front. He handed me another cup and said, «Try again.» I managed not to get a gnat this time, but I did not feel like drinking his bath. The fellow told the manager, but the manager was not concerned enough to even talk to me about it. So we left, and we won’t go back for any more gnat-​bath soda.
Now of the bugs you could find in a drink, a gnat is probably the least bad. But a lack of concern by management tells me they aren’t serious about what they do. So I am proud give this location 1 star.

Best location I have been too. They are nice polite and fast, as it should be. Always have good deals on tacos happening. Also they tend to hook it up on the portions of you go inside.

Best location in the area! Save yourself some time and go to this location over the location at Beltline and Marsh.

They cannot get a drive thru order right. I have been going to this location for a year and they cannot count and the tacos to go NEVER are made properly. SAVE your money and go across the street to TACO CASA. More money but well worth it. I am so pissed that I cannot believe that I have wasted so much time and money at this location…

OMG!!! The flashback Thursday is here and I just ate the best thing ever– TB’s Taco Rounds!!! Sooo tasty. If my diet could handle it — i would eat these on a daily basis. It would be even better with guacamole and queso as add on options. Loved it! Please TB powers that be– make this a regular menu item please!!!

My first time eating this stuff. Well its better then Taco Bell and running close to Del Taco. I found out that if you mix the Pico de gallo wth the regular sauce it makes a great salsa! The sour cream chicken and soft beef taco is pretty good. I’m not a big fan of commercial mex food but sometimes you want mexican and u want it fast!
I definately recommend the «Cheescake chimichanga“its a warm cheescake filling wrapped in a fried shell and dusted wth powdered sugar! mmmmmm!
