The Daiquiri Shoppe

Chicken wings and catfish were both delicious. Everything is cooked to order so it comes out hot and juicy. With that being said be prepared for a little extra in wait time and it’s worth it. It tastes like it was made at home by that one auntie that knows how to cook real good. I only wish that they did phone orders and that they had more sides to choose from besides french fries.

Awesome drinks, food and service! I was in a large group and the servers did not lack in excellent customer service. The drinks were pretty strong, so know your limit! My drink was in the professional carton and The mixologist mixed hypnotic, pineapple and piña colada. It was amazing! I also had the fried fish and shrimp baskets. Those were also good. All in all, I will be going back to the Daiquiri Shoppe for another great evening!

My friends and I came here after an event to relax and socialize and we had a blast!!! The drinks are cheap and the vibe is chill. I ordered the personal filled with half hurricane and half strawberry along with tenders and fries.
I do not have a single bad thing to say, my drink and food hit the spot. My tenders were moist and well seasoned the ranch dipping sauce that accompanied it was A1.
If you are ever in the area stop by and check them out!

No sauce, no ranch no frills just great tasty wings.
The drinks are also all great. Trust your mixologist they drink these everyday. If they say this is what I like trust them and get it.

This is the only daiquiri place I’ve been to so I don’t know how the drinks compare but the food was amazing, best po boy (with shrimp) and fried chicken wings I’ve had in this area. They are well seasoned (and this is coming from a person of color) and come with a house made sauce. I will definitely be coming back.

1^st time going to one even hearing of this place. But, the drinks are A ok & the food also. There was a Crawfish truck here were I experienced my 1^st time eating Crawfish yummy

I only got drinks to go, but what more could you ask for? Perfect consistency, reasonable prices, large selection, staff willing to combine flavors, all provided here.

Love this place!!! I don’t come here often enough but when I do I love this place and it never disappoints! They had a new flavor of lemonade which tasted amazing! The food is really good as well, had the wing basket, which was more than enough food. The only downside is that they have raised the food up by a dollar for every item on the menu.

This is one of the places I miss now that I don’t live in Lewisville anymore. Every time I’ve come here, I ordered the wings. Four delicious piping hot wings and fries make me happy. I a also thoroughly enjoyed the size options of the daquiris.
The people are friendly. The vibe is chill. A-​ok in my book.

Ever since I discovered this place exists, I’ve been sneaking all the way over and happily handing over my money for the most generous portions of shrimp and crawfish and daiquiris. The place always smells great, the staff are laid back yet professional, and the ambience is dope.
I guess if I were looking to date a Saints fan, I’d be here every weekend during NFL season too.
But I loveeee this place. They keep me lit.

+++Drink: The lady helping me asked if I preferred «sweet or strong.» I’m a proud «Sweet» supporter and vote predominantly «Sweet» during each election opportunity… henceforth, commence with only sweet samples. She did… I only sampled 2 mixed concoctions and found that I liked the piña colada mix the best. I rolled with that one, but you can sample till your heart is content. I opted for the «professional» size (couldn’t finish it in one sitting). They have several sizes to choose from, including a small 10−16oz serving you can drink in one sitting, to party jugs. You can take your sealed/​unopened creation to go (break the seal in the car and you’re own your own). How’d it taste? The taste of alcohol is not my favorite so I’m not the best judge… good I think.
+++Food: I went with the staff’s recommendation of their chicken wings (4 whole) which comes with fries and this spicy, cajun style ranch that was really good. These wings were cooked to order… good size, tasty, minimal batter… not thick.
+++Atmosphere & Service: laid back, festive, lots of meet-​ups going on… communal. The service was friendly… I felt a little rushed to order and looking back I wish I’d tried more samples. Food was slow to come out, but he was very apologetic and the wings had clearly been cooked to order so no worries. Give them a whirl.

So I have tried to place an order twice and no one picks up. I called several times and no answer. So I decided to go in and it was pretty
was around 2 pm. So I’m waiting there and no one was around. I waited for about 5 min and I seen some I thought worked there. I tried to get their attention but they blew me off. I don’t know how they will make any money if they don’t answer the phone and actually take orders. I will not waste my time on the anymore.

Love Love Love Love this place!!! It does not matter how many times I come I am still impressed with the food and drinks. When the sun is out this place is always packed but it is worth the wait. If you are unsure what to get they will let you try samples or you can create your own concoction. It is always a party at the Daiquiri Shoppe, so be prepared to have a lot of fun.

Alright Roni B reviewed this restaurant last year, so a friend and I decided to give it a try. THANK YOU… TY…THANK U!!! OMG we had a blast here on a Friday night. Best chicken wings I’ve had since I relocated to Texas. The drinks are strong, but delicious. I can’t wait to take my gf here on our next day off.

When I moved from North Dallas in 2012 it was definitely dead on all levels. I must say in 2016 I’m impressed. Variety of flavors and not to mention damn good food.

Ok. Let me first say that my family is from New Orleans. So I’m well-​versed on the New Orleans culture. So when I was visiting my friend in Dallas, she said «I gotta take you to this daiquiri place!». Very clean and spacious. There are about 15 flavors to choose from, and 3 different sizes. I had the 32oz size for $ 8 (a mix of peach, hulk, and Pina Colada). What was I thinking because it was just way too much liquor for me. I will say that these daiquiris are good, much like the taste you get in New Orleans.
Now the food is a whole different story. Remember I said I’m well-​versed on the New Orleans culture, so I’m always skeptic of buying po’boys outside of N. O…Yeah, the po’boy I had just wasn’t it. I ordered the shrimp po’boy. It was dry because it only had a dab of mayo. I’m so not a big mayo person so you know it had to be lacking if I thought it was dry. Not enough pickles (gotta have a considerable amount of pickles on a po’boy). And most importantly, the shrimp wasn’t too clean. I like for my shrimp to be deveined. And every shrimp, except for 2 (yes I counted), was not deveined. Now I know some don’t really mind if the shrimp isn’t deveined, but yuck, it’s an unpleasant sight to see, it’s gritty when you eat it, and hello, remember this is the shrimp’s gastrointestinal tract. Isn’t the enough to make you want to devein it? Ok, sorry I digress… So I ate my 2 deveined shrimp and just the French bread. I will say that the 2 shrimp I ate, the batter was well seasoned. Man, if only all of the shrimp were deveined because they give you a gang of shrimp, which is a plus. They’re definitely not stingy with the shrimp… Hopefully the rest of the food is better. There were a lot of people eating the wing basket while I was there, so I’m assuming their wings are a hit!
I can see how this place is live and popping. There are flat screen T.V.s mounted to the wall to watch the game. They play hip hop music in the background. Overall, a fun and inviting place to hang out at. I would come back, but not to order any shrimp, unless it’s deveined

Loved these flavors and the perfectly sized containers you can take them home in. They come with a sealable milk top. I had the amaretto and a strawberry/​peach, which were both excellent. Not too sweet, and didn’t taste like an artificial mixer. I probably drank these too fast… oops.
Only complaint is there is a $ 10 minimum on credit cards, so I had to get two. More for me!

The Daiquiri Shoppe in GP is a favorite of mine, so I had to try out the Carrollton location since they have food. Yolanda M. set up a UYE here for us Unilocalers to try food and sample the drinks. Luckily Yolanda called ahead and they set aside a couple of tables for us. If you want to host a group here, I would definitely recommend calling ahead to lock in a table.
Much like the GP location, music plays and whatever game is on is playing on the TVs simultaneously. Similarly, there is a crowd and a long line that’s pretty much nonstop for a good 45 minutes to an hour at a time. What’s different about this location is size… there’s much more seating, which is great if you would like to eat your food in house. The wing basket was huge and I loved the seasoning on the fries and the wing dipping sauce. Drinks were great as always and if I find myself on this side of town in the future, I will make it a point to drop by.

I have bookmarked this place for a very long time and and yesterday’s UYE is the perfect timing to make the hike to the Daiquiri Shoppe (Thanks Yolanda M.)
We had a very good experience especially with the help of Ms. Qvanda S. We informed her that this is our first time and really don’t know what to get. She had us sampled, I’m guessing her favorites and took her time to make sure we get the right flavor. I ended up getting the Strawberry Shortcake (mixed of strawberry and White Russian) it was pretty darn good! My bf had the Hurricane mixed with Hypnotic and that thing is really strong but good. As we sat down with other Unilocalers, the crowd just grew bigger and bigger and the line to get the good stuff just won’t break. People kept coming and going. I’ve seen a lot of them getting the big gallons to take home. I might do that next time especially the warm weather will be here soon. We will definitely comeback to try their food (smelled amazing!) and of course get more daiquiris.

The Daiquiri Shoppe is the second location here in the DFW, with the first one being in Arlington. I had never heard of the Arlington location but I sure am glad they decided to tip toe into the Dallas area (it’s in Carrollton, so kinda Dallas area lol). You can tell from the moment you walk in the place, the owners are from Louisiana, there are LA themed decorations (Saints, Madi Gras, etc) and LA only products (whatever those chips and things are called) lol…
This place is a real laid back, grab a drink with some friends and just hang out and relax type of spot. Great drinks. Great food (try the chicken wings — they’re huge or the catfish)…and get the SAUCE!
Warning, it can get pretty packed, pretty quickly, so I wouldn’t advise going on high traffic times if you don’t have any patience — weekend nights are a: get there before the club rush so you can sit down and enjoy yourself type of nights. Or, go during the week where it’s still busy, just not — line out the door busy.
The daiquiris hit the spot too… I don’t think I’ve had the same combination twice, you know, since I’m something like a mixologist :-)
