I made an appointment on line to get my I phone screen replaced. 10 minutes before my appointment they called me and told me they could not help me because they needed an hour before closing to fix my phone The web site also had a quote for the repair and when i got to the store the next day they said they did not have the parts and they could order it at twice the price quoted. In the end i went to the apple store and got my phone fixed for less than the original on line quoted price

I went in this afternoon looking for a freestanding battery charger for an older Samsung S4. Although they don’t stock stand alone chargers for batteries fitting older S4 phones, the fellow who helped me(wish I’d written down his name) went out of his way to check over my phone and two existing batteries. I was very impressed with his service and will definitely go back when I have another battery-related need.

Your car battery is not something you normally give a lot of thought to, but when it goes bad, it sure gets your attention then! I was up in Carson visiting and just like that my car didn’t start. No warning at all. Started fine the day before, then just dead! Lucky I was at my BF’s house and he jumped me … the CAR! I went on line looking up battery prices and who had what. Costco didn’t open till 10am and it still early in the morning. Plus, with Costco, you have to put the battery in yourself, or have someone that’s rolling their eyes do it for you! So I see Batteries Plus online and they are right here in Carson, next to the Shell station across from the Carson Mall. You know, the Shell where the cops run that radar trap? Anyhow, I give them a call and they have the battery I want. I see online they have 10 or so batteries that fit my car ranging from $ 100 to over $ 200 for the fancy high end ones. I choose one near the lower range($ 120) but not rock bottom. I got one with a 3 year free replacement warranty. Big thing here: They install car batteries for FREE! No getting my hands dirty and no swearing when that stupid bolt falls way down into the engine compartment and you can’t get it out! This was one of the fastest smoothest car repair dealies I have ever done. Drove in, parked in front. Told they guy I needed a battery and which one. The other guy started replacing my battery as I did the paper work and paid. Just a few minutes after I paid, the guy was done replacing my battery! Wham BAM and DONE! This was way better than going to Costco. I think I was here less than 15 minutes! The other auto part stores in town sell batteries for about the same price, but I’m not sure they do FREE installs. Super convenient and super fast, can’t beat that!

I came in to get a new RV battery before a week-long camping trip. Their employee Austin helped me install it only to find out my truck’s charging system wasn’t charging the new battery. Austin helped me diagnose the problem AND fix it. He definitely went way above and beyond.

It was late in the evening and I was sure they wouldn’t be open, but Batteries and Bulbs had extended evening hours, which is so nice for those of us who work full-time! My daughter and I needed to find some small circular batteries for some special Halloween decorations. Austin and Richard helped us find the most economical and efficient replacements. In the end, by thinking outside the box, they were able to save us money and provide us with the batteries we needed. They really went above and beyond. It was almost closing time when we entered and I balked at the original price of the batteries I had located… those two went to work to help us make our Halloween decorations function at a reasonable price, never once asking us to hurry up or acting put out by our requests. I HIGHLY recommend this store and those two awesome employees, Austin and Richard, to anyone who needs a little more guidance in their quest for the perfect battery!

I agree with Wayne D, the truest test of a retailer is how they handle a return. Lee, the ASST. MGR today was the rudest example of customer service I have ever encountered. My battery has 3 years left on the warranty yet will not hold a charge more than a day. He tried every way he could to blame it on me, saying that if I didn’t drive it for a week, that was normal? He tested the charge and it was 11.8. He said that unless it was 12.2 they could not test the battery. Are you kidding me? I will deal with a store further away rather than deal with this jerk again.

The true test of any retailer is how they handle a return. Batteries Plus passed the test. Turns out the battery that got slammed down on the counter was a little too wide to fit properly. They researched the correct physical size and compared to the old battery which I brought with me. They found a substitute that would fit, and graciously refunded me the difference in price. Offering me the choice of putting in the acid and charging it myself or having them do it, I chose the latter and it was ready on time as promised. Good job.

My UPS(battery backup for my computer) was failing so we went to the mfg. website to get a replacement battery. Out-of-stock, of course. Tried their recommended ‘partners’ and couldn’t locate the proper part. Enter Batteries Plus. Called them, they had the right replacement battery(actually two batteries were needed), so I went over and picked them up. I’ve had some bad luck with BIG diesel pickup batteries here before so I was a bit leery, but I’ll give them a go again. So far, so good. Computer is up and running, and the battery backup system passed the self-test with flying colors. Life is good. As an aside, a few years back, I dug out my old BetaMax video camera and the battery was dead. D.E.A.D. ! I took the battery in here and asked if they could replace it. Of course not, since it was probably 25 years old. Not a lot of replacement batteries around for Beta cameras. Understatement here. But, if I would agree to allow them to take my existing battery apart, they’d try to rebuild it — with no guarantees. With nothing to lose, I said sure. Well, guess what. Not only were they able to repair it, but today’s batteries are far better than the ones used in the original so I ended up with a camera that worked better now(at age 25+) than it did when it was new! Very cool. And, I still have that camera — and two top of the line Beta players. Not sure what I’m gonna DO with them now — but hey.
