We decided to try Kristopher’s tonight. I ordered the filet and shrimp scampi and my better half had the ribeye. We also ordered the spinach salad and the cheese garlic bread. The salad was excellent. The bread was very cheesy but had no garlic flavor at all. The ribeye, although thin, was very tender and smothered in mushrooms and garlic but was medium and not rare as ordered. Her rosemary potatoes had too much rosemary and her asparagus tasted odd. My filet was the first tough filet I’ve ever had. Two bites and I had enough. The shrimp was cooked tender and I had the creamy parmeasean sauce on the pasta and it was good. We went with high hopes but it was only OK at best. For these prices we expected much better food. The service was perfect so that was a big plus.

Sorry to say, but the food is not good. Boxed pasta at an Italian restaurant is just ordinary. Service was great and they tried really hard, but I don’t think I will be back anytime soon. I sure would like to see a local business thrive, but the filet and scampi was just plain strange.

We had a couple of office parties here and the food was good both times. All pasta dishes are very good. They set up a small buffet for our party with rigatoni, three different pizzas, Italian sausage bread, and a nice dinner salad, I’ve had dinner there by myself and would recommend it to anyone wanting Italian food. The portions are nice sized and the food is hearty.

I have eaten here a couple times for both breakfast and lunch and always had a great experience. The food is excellent and service is always very friendly. They have the best bread pudding I have ever had, it’s worth the trip just for that!

Been here twice now and been pleased both times. The floral part of the restaurant is gone now and replaced with more seating, but the food is still just as good. Definitely a quiet and comfortable setting for a meal. The servers are very friendly, have a wide range of wines to drink(will give tastes if you’re stuck between a couple choices) and bring out water and some bread to the table when you sit down. This place is tucked into a small little center next to a vet’s office and a gas station, but it is definitely a place to stop at! My most recent visit included a baked chicken with penne and prosciutto covered in a sauce. It was amazing. The prices are pretty in-line with other Italian places, maybe a dollar or two different, but that’s pretty negligible if you’re going out to dinner. The tiramisu is also a nice way to cap off a dinner there. Will be back again!

Underwhelming to be honest. No taste in the chicken and the pasta salad was very dry. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone… Next

We have never had a bad meal here. All have been fantastic! It looks like the flower shop is gone. Now they can continue with the great meals and menu specials. Went there today for Mother’s Day(my choice!). This is the best food in Douglas County. They now have outside seating and when the waitress noticed I was cold she asked if I would like to sit outside. It was perfect outside. Great setting very relaxing(and the weather was perfect!). We will be back often! If you have not been here before it is worth the trip!

My cousin and I had the most amazing breakfasts ever today! Unfortunately I live 8.5 hours away, but everytime I visit, I will for sure be coming back! I have to admit that I’m extremely envious that my cousin lives so close and gets to enjoy this amazing restaurant whenever she wants!

Drove down from Heavenly on a recommendation. We were thoroughly impressed with our dinner. Tony was our server(and pianist) for the evening and did a wonderful job helping us order from the huge menu selection. We’ll be back!

I am a big supporter of Unilocal and the recommendations that people take the time to write. I really appreciate the feedback when picking where to eat, especially when I want to try a new restaurant. Anyway, while going through Carson City on my way back to San Francisco I stopped at Kristopher’s Café. I am a real foodie and love really good Italian food. To my delight, I think I discovered the new«gem of Carson City» I found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and prompt with their service. Everything looked immaculate and it had relaxing ambiance. The menu was quite complete… more of what I would expect to see in a high end Italian restaurant in the Bay Area. The food was really great! I ate too much and the prices were less than I expected. Everything was delicious The next time I am in the area I will be sure to go back and bring my friends.

These guys have undergone a change in ownership since the first of the year, and are a wonderful place to enjoy a well prepared and served Italian meal. The menu remains the same(superb), my favorites being the Ravioli Sei Formaggio and the Salmone Salsa Pesto Limonata, on the dinner menu.

The food here was quite good, once it arrived 1.5 hours after we did. The food is good, but the crotchety waitress was unbearable. She complained through serving us the entire time we were there stating how busy it was. There were 5 other people in the place… I suppose I would try it again if there was a different server there when I walked in to check it out.

I visited a couple of times during the day. My hubby thought they were rude. The antipasto dish was just ok. My mother who was married to an Italian man and loved his cooking, was not impressed either. The flower shop was pretty sad also. Not much there. Both times I went in, there were no other customers. After reading reviews, I can see why. I would never return to a place that had nails and hair in their food! Gross!

South of Carson City and not really wanting to get fast food? This is a very nice alternative to the chain restaurants that are nearby. We decided to try this restaurant partially because of the Unilocal reviews and we happened to be in the vicinity. It was also after 1:00 and needed luch before the drive back to Reno. It is located in a shopping center on the west side of 395 at Mica Drive. What an interesting concept — floral shop and sit-down restaurant. There is a huge bar area in the middle with small tables and booths along the front and side. With lots of knick-knacks and decorations throughout it has a casual/classy feeling. We were greeted and invited to sit anywhere(we were the only ones there). Water(with lemon) and menus were brought right away. It was a very complete menu with main entrees, salads, sandwiches and pizza. There is also a full bar. We ordered the Migliore Amico pizza — a lovely blend of sausage, pepperoni and prosciutto with marinara, mozzarella and fresh oregano — on a thin crispy crust. The pizza was very good. The toppings were nicely balanced and hot and fresh. The crust was not the best I have ever had, but it was not in the least soggy and was a good platform for the yummy toppings. There are other pizza combinations for both vegetarians and omnivores. Our total bill came to under $ 20 — a good value for two people. I will definitely make a return visit. I think I would like to try one of their salads or a pasta dish.

I used to be the server at that restaurant for 2 ½ years. I have left the establishment to further my business. I wasn’t allowed to give Khristopher’s a review because I worked there. Now I’m able to set the records straight. Khristopher’s Café is the best restaurant I had the pleasure to work for. They are so prideful in what comes out, all the ingredients are 100% fresh, they follow the recipes to the T. The prices are far more inexpensive than most Italian restaurants, so that’s a win right there. They have been in business for 7 years, and they haven’t advertised. It’s all been word of mouth. They are successful because they are consistent and absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed working there. I hope everyone goes in and enjoys them. Oh and the 1 star reviews. Nobody is perfect especially the people who write the reviews. People come in who are having a bad day are looking for any reason to slam the restaurant or server. I love people but honestly, some times people are rude and impossible. If you have an issue don’t be lame and write a review, speak up so they can fix what the issue is. Khristopher’s is one of the great ones and everyone should embrace this incredible establishment.

Horrible food!!! Hair in my mothers pasta! We had terrible service. We even had a relative visiting and took her there! What an embarrassment! Previously we went there in the past and there was a nail in my salad. We let it go and thought we’d give it another shot. Never going again!

Love. It’s a little steep however, the food is fantastic and the service is stellar. Best Cesar salad I’ve ever had. Hands down. Great for my kiddo too, minus the lack of changing table. We always have fun with the coloring table tops.

Very nice atmosphere with lots of greenery as you would expect from a floral vineyard. Bread came out immediately with the menu. Two kinds, one white and one rosemary, I think. I say inside but they have a nice little outdoor seating area as well. my food arrived quickly and was piping hot. I went south a cappelini Cappelini tossed with mild Italian sausage, asparagus, garlic, mushrooms, and tomatoes and a creamy marinara sauce. The portion was large and I couldn’t finish it. I probably shouldn’t have eaten the bread but the pasta will be even need tomorrow I’m sure. I also ordered a pepperoni pizza to go just to try it. Nothing special, just a good pizza. Overall the meal was good and I really wanted to try the bread pudding but was way too full. Oh well, maybe next time.

Ugh! My wife and I just moved recently to Minden and we really wanted to like this place because it is so close to our home. We recently went to dinner to check it out. It was hard to get past the slow service and the dirty utensils and dishes. Our meals arrived and were cold. Cannot recommend.

**FLOWERDELIVERY(lack thereof) REVIEW** Do people check reviews on online flower ordering and delivery before the place an order? Because my boyfriend and I certainly did not. Had we checked and saw that this place is more of a restaurant than a flower delivery service, in spite of its niceties on the website( ) we probably would have refrained from ordering. Not so surprisingly the only other review here for the flowers has the same complaint, THEYDON’T ARRIVE!!! My boyfriend and I spent a jolly good time online picking out flowers for his grandma’s bday and the flowers never got there. he called them and the rude lady claimed it’s the internet’s fault(in spite of him having an order number, and an order confirmation). Was the problem ever resolved? NO! Apparently they won’t be doing the delivery in spite of all the order number and credit card number. She simply claimed it’s not in the system and it’s not her fault — no deliveries! DON’T ORDERFLOWERSHERE!
