Platinum Salon & Day Spa

I’ve retired from hairstyling after 32 years in California. Moved to Carson City, looking for a stylist.
Someone from the beauty supply referred me to this salon. I read the bios, and decided to call Robin. Wow, am I thankful!
She does a great job with cuts and color! Plus I love her personality. Being in this profession, it’s more than the hair. Thanks, Robin, for loving your profession!!!

I’ve not yet been a customer here, though based on their reviews, I’d planned to be when I was in need of a service they offered. (I’m new in town.) Instead, I brought my mother in who was visiting from out of town, and she came out glowing.
Her person, Katie (I think), was extremely thoughtful and patient with her. My mom is hard of hearing, and while I was waiting, I noticed Katie (I think) leaning over to speak so that my mom could see her mouth, or look directly in the mirror and make eye contact with her in order to achieve the same results while standing behind her. Major props to her as a human, and she earned a truckload of brownie points from my mom.
Oh, and she did a great job. She swayed my mom out of what she thought she wanted (frosted hair) and convinced her to go for subtle highlights instead. It turned out to be exactly what she wanted, just called by a name/​process she wasn’t familiar with, and it looked great, along with a cut that flattered her face perfectly.
I’ll have to disuade my mom from flying in just for haircuts, but I plan to be a customer here still. Probably with Katie (I think).

Kaity gives me the best cut off my life. I have curly hair that is thin and most cuts only work either flat ironed or curly. She was able to give me a cut that looks great on my curly or straight and works amazingly well on my face. BTW, I drive an hour plus just to go to her and always leave happy!

Robin is amazing!!! I have had my fair share of bad haircuts which has led me to fear going to the salon. I was recommended to her by my sister who swears by her cuts and color. I went there and it was a great experience! She is super fun and the best part of it was that my hair turned out amazing and exactly how I wanted! I will definitely be going back!

My life is busy– I needed a color fix-​and no other salon answered their phone. Thankfully! Cindi answered and told me to come right in, when I did she knew exactly what I was wanting and gave me just that! No wasted time! I rarely trust anyone with my hair, but I will definitely be going back to Cindi!!! Thank you! :)

I’ve been going to Julie to get my hair done for years now, she’s amazing! I love the atmosphere and the new blow dry bar! Loving my hair and wouldn’t go to anybody else!

Found Robin completely by accident and what a wonderful find. She did an amazing job on my hair and listened to exactly what I wanted and it is beautiful. You Rock Robin!!!

Platinum Salon and Spa is fantastic! Best salon in Carson City, hands down! With its fun atmosphere and friendly staff it’s no wonder its voted Carson’s best! Ashleigh is an amazing hair stylist and whenever I leave after getting my hair done I feel great and get the best compliments on my hair! Sheree is a fabulous esthetician who’s talents include facials, waxing, peels and microdermabrasion… I with out a doubt highly recommend this place to anyone!

I’ve got to say I LOVE this place. From it’s big city loft style industrial look, to the trendy stylists and relaxed atmosphere, Platinum Salon & Day Spa rocks. You need a cut/​color/​weave, they’ll do it. Time for a mani/​pedi, this is the place. Tensed up and need a massage? Enjoy pampering in one of their private rooms.
I could rave on and on about Platinum Salon & Day Spa, but this is something that has to be experienced for yourself. Just know that Lenny and his crew are the folks to see when you need a little «me» time.
