Albertsons

I bought a Sriracha sauce and marinade today only to find out that it had expired 8 days ago. Yuck! This is the second time I had purchased an expired product from this location. I guess there’s very poor quality control being implemented by their management. I guess I won’t be coming back to this grocery store. See pictures of the old item from my communication with them and today’s item with receipt.

They have really nice produce but they can be over priced. I usually go here only to get things I can not get a walmart.

It is definitely one of the most expensive chain grocery stores out there. They try to offset this with their stamp system. It’s been forever since I shopped here so receiving stamps was quite odd to me. I tried Googling it but couldn’t find how exactly to use it. It’s a pricey place that gives cumbersome stamps. Not worth it.

I was just in Albertson’s. I did not get a shopping cart because I did not plan on shopping just went in for some grapes. So, of course, I find other fruit already chopped in the bowls on sale so I’m grabbing containers. So now I have 3 containers of fruit and a container of salsa & making my way to the counter and of course I drop everything because you’re supposed to get a shopping cart when you going to the market .The store manager just happen to be around, bless his heart, he rushed over to help me and I was just so embarassed and crazed but he got right on it and help me replace the items and kept telling me,“don’t have to apologize”.Another young employee helped and the manager actually replace the items for me and I was so grateful but I felt so clumsy. He assured me it’s fine. Of course, I still felt silly but grateful but still silly. Lastly, I made it to the car, on the road then realized I left the receipt so I dont know the manager’s name but he was working around 3:45−4pm on Wed the 4^th of nov. So Im sorry for the safety incident in the store. p. s. this could also serve as an alibi.

This store has been here since I was little. And I’ve been coming here forever! It went through a transition years ago, but still seems old and outdated. The lines are always long because there are usually just a few cashiers working. I see more ‘self check-​out’ lanes open than anything. I will say shelves are stocked well. Produced seems to get more and more expensive here and the department itself, seems to get smaller and smaller. I don’t care for the deli. Customer service there is not the best and pastas and items look like they sit for hours. Parking isn’t the greatest unless you come during a time when very few people shop. There is one awesome employee… he’s been here for years. I can’t recall his name but he wears glasses and speaks and walks with an impairment. He is super helpful and friendly! I also appreciate how Albertsons is an equal opportunity employer and give many kudos for hiring people, even with a handicap!

two star rating is pretty generous here. omg, can Margaret the cashier go any slower? we are currently at 15 or less register, but the next one over that had three customers with a ton of groceries have finished with four people, we were third in line and we’re still checking out. this reminds me why we don’t shop here anymore…

It is currently 12.42 in the morning. This is outside store hours, right? As a local resident I thought so too. So why are the gardeners leaf blowing woth their stupidly loud machines in the middle of the night? Do you not realize there are residential homes not 30 feet from where you are working? This is the 5^th time now, m that o have had to complain, and no one has been the least bit helpful for me to get hold of proper management to complain. Respect your neighbors, Albertsons.

The customer service in the deli department is a lousy store needs to be cleaned up. The lady in the deli department Sunday morning had me waiting an extra 15 minutes looking at me through the back and when she came out she waited on someone else I think I will stick to the Albertsons in Gardena better people better product

I have ongoing issues with this store. I’ve bought moldy Hawaiian bread that was WAY overdue and CS wasn’t even apologetic about it.
This last Monday I had gone in for the ribs sale. and they were out of St. Louis ribs. I asked the man behind the butcher counter if they would get more in, and he said yeah. we’ll have more coming in tomorrow, as much as you want. So we came back on Tuesday. and nothing was out. I asked the guy behind the meat counter (different guy than on Monday) and he said they were out. he even checked the back. When I told him what happened the day before he said. that guy doesn’t even do the ordering, so he wouldn’t know.
What up, Albertsons? I don’t know why I still keep going here.

So my cousin and I were minding our own business, checking out through the self serve registers. We were about to pay when all of a sudden this lady comes out of nowhere, rudely telling us to stop with the transaction. Umm okay? She then goes on to use the machine, apparently for a receipt reprint for a customer before us. All of this without a single explanation, «excuse me», or an apology. Oh I. m sorry, did we interrupt you? I have no problem if you have to reprint the receipt IN THE MIDDLE of my transaction but the least you can do is tell me why youre pushing me aside to do so. After she was done, she just left. Again, without telling me I can proceed. I had to ask her. One word– RUDE. Go back to your training manuals because you forgot your basic customer service skills. My 13 year old cousin has more courtesy than you.

came here on my way home from work to pick up cookies for work potluck the next day while i got the cookies i saw they had soda on sale so i got the limited amount of 4 i get to the register and the guy said i can’t mix the brands so he called over the box girl and she went to get me the right soda very pleasant and friendly all the staff i came across lots of smiles and hellos and have a nice day kinda felt good after a long hard day at work. I was in and out of here in less than 10 mins too.

This store has major customer service issues. First of all every time I go there they only have one register open. To save them time, they shut down the self service at night so they won’t have a lot to do closing time.Lame. The customer service center where you cash your checks and buy stamps always takes forever to get help. I came in the morning once at 7am and I was the 3^rd person in line, yet I was in line waiting to checkout for freakin’ 30 minutes. It amazes me how lazy these people are when there are thousands out there who would be happy to work at all. Also the parking is a nightmare. Do not, for whatever reason, go to Carson… Take heed

5 star experience today. I usually frequent this market at lunch time because its near my work and I LOVE their spicy chicken wings in the service deli. The service Deli guy today wasn’t too sharp, I asked for the PLU number so I could use self check out and the guy working behind the service deli said he didn’t know… WTH? That’s your dept. and you don’t know? Ok, another young lady came along and I asked her if she knew if there was a PLU on the self check out. SHE KNEW THE NUMBER AND TOLD ME OFF THE TOP OF HER HEAD!. So Then I forgot a couple items and she got me a basket, and then I proceeded to the regular check out and here’s were it just got even better (she was also bagging clerk that day too so big Kudos to her but I didn’t catch her name). I just experienced the warm welcoming personality of what I consider a MODEL Checker in the grocery store. Clerk Michael M. Elderly man in front of me, Michael suggested to him a different item on sale to help save him money, the gentelman said he had a small fridge so no go, but the thought was super nice. Then my turn. WOW. The karma just keeps coming. No club card necessary, got the sale price, He knew the PLU for my chicken wings and then even had another coupon on top of the savings on the shelf that he offered me for my canned tuna. He was just a super nice guy. Great attitude, helpful, not trying to sell me stuff (like other stores do. do you want to donate to this charity, do you want to buy this today or apply for this card or that) Just a straight up friendly guy who offered savings to his customers which I feel is going out of his way, he doesn’t have to do that and I’ll bet if I needed assistance with a cart, he would have gotten someone or helped me himself. He mentioned he used to be a manager. Well, in my opinion, if he were the manager of this store, this store would be 5 star standards in their chain. Thanks to Michael M. for making my day and doing your job with a sincere smile.

Just like your average Alberstsons. There’s a Coinstar and Redbox towards the right side of the store. They also have a pharmacy and bakery. Haven’t been to their produce section lately, but I heard they take WIC.

— The produce has improved a little. Still no where near the best.
— I am glad to report they now have someone at the self check outs to unlock errors and to assist if needed
— I get meat here because I don’t trust the meat at Seafood City/​Tambuli.
— Fried Chicken at the Deli tastes great!
— My kids love the chocolate chip cookies at the bakery
— I like to pick up country cut pork ribs
— Sometimes you can score some nice steaks for $ 5 lb.
I only shop here because its very close to my home.
Cashiers have always been friendly to me :)

Wow this is the most ghetto Albertson’s I think I’ve been in. Worse than my local one in downtown LB. Really small butcher/​meats selection. Ok fruit selection. Lots of rude people milling about through the store too.

This is near my parents’ house and I come here for convenience. I don’t shop here for my groceries because their items is mostly overpriced. If I do come here, it’s to buy chips or some American food that can’t be bought in an Oriental grocery store. This store is always clean and organized, but there seems to always be a shortage of cashiers. A lot of customers shop here too, so the line gets pretty long. It’s one of the reasons I don’t like coming to this branch. I usually use their self-​checkout. The cashiers are friendly and their service is okay. They’ll say hello and go about their business. I get the feeling they don’t want to be at work.

Great location for me personally. Its near my house, there’s a Bank of America branch in the same plaza (also a BofA atm inside the store), and its basically in the center of Carson. The store is clean and usually well stocked. It is always hard to rate chain stores because they all have the same layout with the same merchandise.
But what I will rate is based on the service I receive here.
Ive been coming here since I started working, almost 8 years ago. I can say the service here has never been great or even close to good. We all have heard about the union problems they have and I understand them being frustrated at times but, should the customer service lack because of that? The cashiers are usually preoccupied talking to the baggers to even acknowledge me as a customer and that sucks! I’m just glad they have self checkout…

I’ve only ever come into this particular Albertsons once and that was due to convenience. I needed to stop by the grocery store on the way home and here is the one I spotted first.
The store was pretty basic, nice and clean. Wide aisles. The employees were normally friendly, nothing spectacular. For some reason, it had a bit of an old feel though. Like maybe when they decided to make all Lucky’s become Albertsons, all they did with this store was change the title on the front.
I’d come back to this store if I were passing through again, but I don’t think I’d make it «my» location.

Centrally located in Carson — conveniently close to an elementary school, a library, banks, and all things Filipino.
They are always well stocked and the aisles are always clean. Every so often, they become overwhelmed with the lines, but mostly, it’s a great place for a grab and go type of deal. I, myself, am a huge errand runner, so it’s nice to know that I can pop in and out and check groceries off my list. On top of that, they also have an indoor Starbucks and Bank of America ATMs. :D
The most important thing (for me at least) is that they sell the blue rockstars. No joke, I went to three grocery stores in Carson looking for them and had NO LUCK! Some weeks, they’re on sale for 3/​$ 5 (a pretty good deal!).
Sometimes it can be pricey, so always check your Tuesday advertisements before hitting the grocery stores!
Overall, great place to grocery shop. There really isn’t much to complain about. :]
