H&R Block

I came to this location with my husband. Gabrielle made a mistake and mispelled our names which caused the IRS to reject our claim. OK– people make mistakes. The problem was the manager, PAMELA. She had an attitude with me when I asked how the mistake happened and proceeded to speak to me as if SHE were the customer and I paid HER money!
Really? She was so rude, I had to remind her that I was the paying customer and her company made the mistake. Gabrielle was sweet but if Pamela is the one running things here, I will never come back.

I called this office and asked what were the hours, the manager Pamela told me that they stay open to nine! which I thought was perfect seeing as though I was off of work at 8:15 and would be there no later then 8:30pm. I get there at 8:30 and the doors are CLOSED lights off. I was annoyed but thought maybe I misunderstood her. so I call the next morning ask the same question get the same answer! tried AGAIN for the 2^nd time doors closed yet AGAIN! what are the hours of this location!!!

I actually had a great experience here. Phyllis, you’re awesome. I had to file some (what I felt like were) crazy taxes. I was in and out within 30 minutes. I did make an appointment which was at 9:45am on a Saturday, so the parking lot situation was not even a problem for me. I got parking in front right away.
I have to add: I left and I forgot to follow up on a question I had. I called a few hours later when I remembered it, and thought I may have mistaken something on my taxes. I spoke to Phyllis, and let her know my concern. We had a brief conversation, and she answered my question. Then she called me back 15 minutes later with a solid answer after she had double-​checked some information that I didn’t even expect her to check up on. Going that extra mile for me meant a lot, especially since I felt like I was in a situation where I thought I might have to re-​do my taxes. Thanks to everyone there, I appreciate the service I received.

I had my taxes done by Bridget Perez as well and I have to say, she will be doing my taxes every year from now on. made my appointment got there late and they still took me in gave me coffee gave my kids balloons and candy, and I even got a discount. I didn’t have my routing number and she was nice enough to get it for me. They took their fees from my refund so I didn’t pay an penny there, I got my return in 8 days. And yes the fees are a bit high but it is very worth it. The only bad part from this location is the parking but other than that the staff makes you feel like your family very friendly and helpful.

We made an appointment with H&R Block at this location and we arrived 5 minutes before the appointment time, to see that the front desk person was not there. She was chatting with her co-​worker, with her back turned against the desk, let us stand there with no greeting for a good 5 minutes. The person who she was chatting with saw us come in and stand there, but kept on sitting and chatting and did not take her leg off the chair (she had her leg on the chair at her office where everybody can see her). Then the front desk person finally realized us (two adults, duh!!!), so she went over and sat us down to wait for another good 15 minutes. Our appointment was at 8pm, and we didn’t get to see a tax person till 8:20pm. Okay, they may be busy with other customers. Nope, there were no other customers but us. And it turn out to be our tax «professional» is the lady who was sitting and having her leg resting on a chair in front of customers, Bridget Perez. That doesn’t seem so professional, is it?
Our tax was so easy to do, we did not have any complication at all, the only thing that may be a little hard to do is that we just moved from another state (New York) and only a tax professional who has a license for NY could do our tax, which she had, but she did not renew her license even she knew about it ahead of time (we said we were from NY when we call to make our appointment). Therefore, we had to wait for her to go to her car, look for her notes because she forgot her log in ID and password, and then to renew her license. She told us we can pay for H&R Block fee now, or have it be taken out of the tax return but with an extra $ 35 fee, and we decided to pay it on the spot. For a very very simple tax form, we had to pay over $ 250. Fine, that’s what happen when we don’t do it ourselves (which we regretted later on). At least they said the price comes with a lot of «guarantee» for 3 years, like if anything happens that they did wrong, they will fix it themselves with no additional charges.
It has been 3 weeks since that (over 21 days), and we haven’t received our refund. So we contacted the bank, and were told that it came a long time ago, but the routing number was wrong so the bank returned it back to IRS. So we called H&R Block hoping that they would hold their «guarantee» and fix it for us since it was Bridget who found the wrong routing number online and added it on the form herself, which led to the complication of our tax refund. Nope, she wasn’t there, the person who answer our phone told us that if we chose to have the fee taken out of the tax return, they would fix it for us because they have to do it to be able to get their fee, but since we paid on the spot, it’s none of their concern, so we have to call the IRS. WHAT??? SERIOUSLY???
So we called IRS, and were told us that «Once it’s wrong, it can’t be fixed, so wait for an extra 5+ weeks to get it. Have a nice day.»
Bottom line, don’t waste your money on unprofessional service that will mess up everything. Their service at this location doesn’t even deserve a one star rating.
