Great for mall food! Lack of ambience but makes up for it in deliciousness. Falafel made fresh after ordering!

McDonalds or Taco Bell have much better customer service than this place. I got the falafel pita. I have grown very fond of middle eastern cuisine, and have a deep love for falafels. Sadly, this place fell completely short. My pita came with lettuce and tatziki sauce and falafel. Nothing else. I asked for hummus or fries in my pita, or any kinds of pickled condiments. The lady stared at my like I was crazy and annoying. Whatever, I ordered. Even though I noticed their food safety & handling ranking as a B. I then waited for nearly 15 minutes, watching others make orders for chicken and receiving the same annoyed and pissy service. When I got my pita, the falafels felt as if they were warned In a microwave. Pita wrapped like a burrito… Weirdest middle eastern cuisine experience by far.

If your looking for something healthy here is the best place to go at the southbay pavilion. Yes sure subway is right next door but skip the bad carbs and grab a chicken salad at this place the chicken is full of flavor and very tender. The pricing for a Large salad and a free drink was about $ 6. I highly recommend there food .I have also tried there rotisserie chicken as well and it was amazing! Check them out next time your at Carson mall! I love Mediterranean cuisine and this week I went back to this restaurant for lunch and got the chicken kabab plate it is so delicious. I can’t say enough about this restaurant the food is amazing the restaurant is always clean and the owner is a sweet heart you can tell he puts all his heart and dedication in his . I highly recommend this restaurant! Okay I went back today and tried the combo special so it comes with 3 different types of skewers 1 beef, 1 chicken, one ground beef and lamb the meal comes with rice, salad, hummus and pita bread and can’t say it enough about this place the food is made with the freshest ingredients it’s never precooked it’s always cooked to order that’s what I really love about this place!

This place was not what I was hoping for. After reading the Unilocal reviews, I was hoping that my experience would be better than others. Especially sense I was craving kabobs. Ugh, for mall food, it was below average. Should have went somewhere else. They have a ten year old as the cashier. Starting at a young age to know the value of a dollar. They have specials, but even that did not satisfy.

I’ve been coming here for about a year. The food has always been fresh, fast and convenient. I’m usually here on lunch and there’s never a line although located in a busy mall. This place isn’t fancy, no AC, no soda fountain but man do they make up for it in value. Always the same family people working. I usually get the $ 4.99 ¼ chicken lunch special meal with drink and you can’t beat it. It’s a lot of food complete with rice, salad, hummus and bread. Also no extra charge for white meat. Above all it’s tasty! Beat that Subway! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but try it!

Okay. So today’s experience was bad. «Bad» is probably an understatement. We ordered a whole chicken and it was moist and yummy, until I noticed some of the chicken was undercooked. I noticed a lot of chewy, bloody and uncooked pieces. Another customer also complained that his chicken wasn’t fully cooked. My boyfriend went to go complain and simply ask if they could replace our chicken thigh with a cooked piece. Wow… The answer we got was far from what we expected. The owners were VERY rude to us. As my boyfriend went up to show her the bloody chicken, she gave us the worst stare ever! It was so scary. I thought she was going to kill us! :(She started raising her voice saying«it was a part of the bone», when clearly the meat was very red and bloody. We asked her again if we could just have another thigh and call it quits, but she refused at first. She offered to take the partially-eaten chicken back to the kitchen to cook it some more(after my boyfriend’s hands have been all over the chicken). We told her that, that was unsanitary and was against health regulations. What if someone had a contagious disease? Would you want that in your kitchen?! Gross! Then the little 12 – 13 year old little boy jumps in and says some smart a*s comment like,“sir, I know the procedures and you don’t.” He was so annoying. This is very sad because this was not the only time I felt the owners were rude. The other time I asked if I could buy an extra garlic sauce and the female owner rudely said, «What? You want more? I need to save some for my other customers!». Ummmm wow. Am I not a customer?! I even offered to pay! It’s sad because I really loved the food here. Sure the owners were something else, but their food was super cheap and yummy. Now, not so much. I think I might actually have food poisoning. :( Tip– inspect your food first before scarfing it down. You kids don’t want Salmonella!

Small family owned business, daughter was working the cash register and mom & dad were working the kitchen. Ordered the falafel wrap. The pita was warm and soft. The falafels were dry(3 mini donut shaped/sized) were inside the pita along with some sparse veggies(tomato & lettuce) and a lot of sauce. I’ll skip the falafel but will come back to support this local business and try the chicken special.

My wife got a falafel there. I was kind of leery about eating there because for some inexplicable reason, there was no health rating posted. I looked around and all the other places including the hot dog on a stick with a B rating had it posted. My daughter is a public health inspector and she tells me all kinds of stories, like the bagel place that had mouse poop as a topping. So, if you go eat there against my advice… ask where the sign is. I will be reporting it to the health dept. as a violation of code.

It was my first time trying out this place. I was getting hungry and started Unilocaling places of where to eat. Jerusalem Kabob came up and the chicken kabob sounded appetizing so I drove down to the pavilion. I got there and I told a lady there behind the counter that it was my first time there and what she recommended to eat she then pointed out to where the menu was and there was this man standing there behind the counter and I told him the same thing. So I immediately just told him I wanted the chicken kabob that was $ 4.99 and he told me that he could add the chicken on top of rice and add hummus to the order since it was my first time there he also gave me a free drink. He was really nice! I loved the order I ordered it was very delicious! I would definitely go back to Jerusalem Kabob. I’ll for sure have to take my mom and sister with me next time I go! :)

Wandering in the Carson mall finding something healthy and fresh to eat can be a challenge. Once I saw a coworker bring in this fresh looking chicken and she told me it was from the Mediterranean restaurant. Well, it took a while for me to get the gusto to try it out. I was going to order the ½ chicken plate, but the kind woman recommended the ¼. It can HOT on a fresh bed of rice. The seasoning on the chicken was light but delicious. Along side pita bread, hummus and a salad with a lite vinaigrette. At 4.99 I can’t beat the deal. Im a regular now though Ill be trying the vegetarian plate soon. I see lots of customers get it. The place is well kept and quiet.

Damn, I really miss the Chinese place that used to be here many years ago. I went here expecting some really really great kabobs, especially since the workers looked legit… but… I judged this book from its cover and it gave me a «Eek! Methinks not» kind of rating. 1st. It took a long time for the lady to even come to the register. I mean, where was their back-up? On lunch??? C’mon… time management. 2nd, it took even longer for them to cook the food… no wonder why it’s only $ 5.99 for a meal. Hey, I guess you get what you pay for? But still, I would rather spend that much on a burger meal at In-N-Out. Seriously, I’ve had way better tasting kabobs, gyros, rice, etc. from other places.

I came here for the fluffy, doughnut-shaped falafel. They came accompanied by two pitas, a sad salad, and a slop of hummus. The wonderfulness of the falafel was discouraged by the dumpy South Bay Pavillion and the vacant, skeleton-like restaurant in which I ate the falafel.

I can’t believe after being a resident of Carson & growing up at the Carson Mall that it was my first time trying this place out! I chose the Gyro Lunch Platter, which contained several pieces of Gyro, rice, salad, yogurt & a piece of pita bread. The plate also came with a drink — all for $ 5.99 + tax! I think that is an amazing deal for lunch esp with this economy! The restaurant was extremely clean & well kept. There are several booths & a counter with stools available. However, there are plenty of seats available in the mall. The lady working(older woman) was polite but very soft spoken. The younger woman who was making the food was very efficient & polite as well! The gyro was good! It was moist & had a good flavor. The yogurt was also delicious with the pita bread. I personally felt that the salad dressing was a bit too bland & overly acidic and the rice seemed a but dry & lacked the usual flavor I’ve encountered at other Mediterranean restaurants. Overall — my experience was great & will probably return when at the mall. It is an excellent healthy option for food!

Wanted to try something a little healthier than a burger. I am a fan of this type of food so it was an easy pick. I ordered the Chicken Kafta plate. But sadly. they said they don’t have it today. I went with second choice. Gryo plate. It was 5.99 and came with rice, salad, sauce and a pita. The Gyro meat was sliced super thin. I have never had it like this before, I always have it a little thicker. I think I prefer thicker. That being said the flavor was really good. There was about 6 slices. I could have gone for a little more. The rice and sides were really well prepared and the pita was soft. Overall, not bad when you are out shopping(in a food court), but no special trips for it.

The Chicken Shawarma Plate is uniquely delicious! What you get for $ 8.50 is plenty of grilled seasoned Chicken strips bedded over tasty yellow rice. Served with two pita bread, Hummus and a small green salad. The plate also comes with a white garlic paste served on the side. The Chicken here is remarkably juicy unlike other places, Mushawi and Green Olive, to name a few… The Beef Shawarma was on the chewy side so if you don’t want to exercise your jaws don’t order it. Again, the reason I go back to this place is because of the Chicken Shawarma plate. I guarantee you’ll like it.
