An upper cervical chiropractor also serves as your body’s electrician. The upper cervical bones are the first two bones of the spine, located at the critical junction of the brain stem and the spinal cord. An upper cervical chiropractor’s role is to make sure the communication between your brain and the rest of your body is free of irritation, so your brain can fully control your body.

«From the time I was a young teenager, I suffered with frequent severe headaches, allergies, digestive problems, sciatica, dizziness, mental fogginess and problems with other functions of my body. When I was in college, I was so ill that I had to leave school for a year.

«Being a firm believer in avoiding medications and surgery as much as possible, I opted for chiropractic care, in addition to other forms of alternative health care. In the end it was upper cervical chiropractic care that restored my health and ability to function optimally.»

Dr. Karis graduated magna cum laude from Life Chiropractic College West (Hayward, CA). After having personally experienced the power of upper cervical chiropractic care, she underwent post-​graduate training in upper cervical chiropractic care and completed her internship with the renowned Dr. Louis H. Tiscareno, Jr., D.C.

In 2010 and 2011, she volunteered in her school’s chiropractic mission work in El Salvador.
