Rooter Hero Plumbing

My experience with Rooter Hero was exceptional. They were immediately responsive to a kitchen sink emergency. On the evening of a major holiday, they had a technician to my home within 60 minutes. They were very reasonably priced as well. The technician, Alex, was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and exceptionally clean and neat. If he is any indication of the general service of the company, they turned out to be a great find. I can’t speak highly enough of him. I would be disappointed if he were not available the next time I am in need of their services.

Well, scary is all I can say. Short story: My plumbing backed up, they came out and told me I needed almost $ 14,000 in work. I almost just went with them because I was so overwhelmed by it all. Fortunately I stopped myself from making a knee jerk reaction. No less than 4 other plumbers confirmed that the scope of work Rooter Hero was telling me I needed done had actually ALREADY been done!!! So either they are so incompetent that they couldn’t tell, or they were being dishonest. I like to presume positive intentions, so I guess I’ll go with hugely incompetent? Scary stuff though. Almost spent $ 14,000 and all the pipes needed was a good snaking. Always get at least a second opinion! Lesson learned!

The plumber I selected yesterday did not show today…
it may sound silly, but Scott Linder is my Hero. Not only did he fix everything, he found a stoppage while fixing my leaks. While he was here, he fixed another plumbers bad work. Saving mom money from the next plumbing problem, hidden inside the pipes.
Senior discount, clean, honest, and highly qualified. I never left a worker alone without me there the whole time, he is the first trustworthy tradesman I have had.
He came out alone, by the way he is their Senior Service Technician (with a Contractors license).

They seem like nice guys BUT they charge way too much for their services. Be cautious, they’ll come fix one thing but then find a bigger more pricier problem to fix. Always get a second and third opinion before hiring these guys or any plumber to do a job. You’ll find out your plumbing is not as bad as they said it was and you’ll be appalled at the prices Rooter Hero was trying to charge you compared to other plumbers.

Scott from rooter hero (l.a./south bay brach) was dispatch to our residence to unclogged a hall way tub, he arrived in a timely manner. once at our home Scott was real professional and quickly target the dilemma, snaked the bathtub lines for a good length of time than advise us that he was not able to correct the problem and had to call his foreman/​boss (Tommy)
Tommy arrived a bit later with more equipment than shortly advice my spouse and i that our problem was much larger than what we were expecting. once i/​we agree to have the job taking care of Scott right away began to work real hard and extremely professional. regardless of how financially uncomfortable the process was the fact the Scott was answering all questions, and working so hard to take care of the problem for my family and i put our minds at ease. because of Scott’s fulfilling his deadline to finalize the job and professionalism needless to mention hard work i gave rooter hero (Scott) four stars.

This company was referred to us by another plumber I called who was completely booked. Granted their call was no charge, but the broken main water line into the house was a serious problem and they knew I was over a barrel with house-​guests about to arrive. Two choices; fix the broken line at the source above ground (very iffy I was told), or replace the complete line back to the meter with 40 ft of new line and dig a trench thru the yard (we have no interest financing!). $ 1500 for the former and $ 7800 for the latter. I got hold of my regular plumber ultimately who fixed the line at the source in one hour. Problem solved for about $ 125. I shared the scenario with him about Rooter Hero and he was astounded anyone would try and charge such fees. Really need to think twice before accepting their bids as those unfamiliar with plumbing could potentially be taken to the cleaners! Get a second opinion.

RIP OFF!!! Rooter Hero is used to offer higher prices to customers to make Mr. Rooter appear more affordable.

Aaron was polite and professional. He replaced a leaky toilet within the time frame he promised.

Gilbert was super professional and nice. Fixed the simple problem and gave me a heads up on what may happen in the future so I can tell the property owner. Would have given 5 stars but arrived late with no call.

I called Rooter Hero Plumbing to clear a blocked drain line. They have wonderful service. They said that someone would call me back in 15 minutes with the name of the technician.
The technician was on time and was able to diagnosis the problem. He cleared the drain line and made some suggestions regarding long-​term maintenance and repairs. I will use this company again. I’m pleased with the service.

I have to say I am very disappointed with this plumbing company. About 8 months ago they did a full service for our house and now we are having plumbing issues again. We called them yesterday and the lady on the phone stated that we were still under warranty and would have someone come out that day to fix the issue. They came out a few hours later and «fixed» the plumbing problem. Lo and behold not even 24 hours later our shower is backing up and our toilet is bubbling and won’t flush, therefore the issue wasn’t fixed. My husband tried to call this morning and tell them about the issue and have someone come out. Well the person he got on the phone was completely rude and told us we should be grateful that we even had someone come out for a complimentary service (apparently our warranty expired two months ago, which we didn’t know or were informed of) and that we can’t complain about our problem not being fixed because we didn’t have to pay anything. That is just insanity. If I call a plumbing company out I expect the problem to be fixed and not have issues 12 hours later and not to be «grateful.» This is your job. He then continue to tell my husband that the workers stated in their report that the problem was «successfully fixed» and that if we wanted to have someone come out we would have to pay a service charge. I am completely appalled by the customer service and would never ever recommended these guys to anyone.

They said that they would camera the problem for free, which is way better than all the other plumbers. Only later did I find out it was just a tactic to charge more. They told us they found a crack in the pipe and that that was the reason our toilet backed up. Assured us that breaking concrete to reach the broken pipe would fix the situation. A day and a half later and $ 5k in, they tell me the camera went the wrong way. And that it wasn’t their fault. That they needed to clear another area to clear the blockage. We give the OK. Another day later, blockage still not cleared. They demand pay since its a holiday and don’t even put back the cement they dug up to cover the hole. Til this day, they deny any wrongdoing, even with a block of uneven cement, gaping hole and the toilet still not fixed. They said they were doing me a favor by giving me a discount for «their work done», Not honest. Won’t fix your problem. Don’t call them.

Eventually, someone takes care of things.

I had a horrible experience with these guys at first because I was overcharged, but the Manager Tommy Angiano reimbursed me and apologized for the inconvenience. He felt real bad about the situation and handled it professionally.

Scott Linder was so helpful. We had two clogged drains that another plumber had told us was not «snakeable» and wanted to charge us $ 1200 to change the pipes entirely. Scott came and snaked both of them in less than 30 minutes. He was professional, timely, efficient and nice. We will definitely call him again if we have plumbing issues!

Daniel Angiano and Rooter Hero delivered as promised! Received a quoted price to unclog our drain. Daniel did an outstanding job — a real desire to solve our problem, do what it takes and make sure it is done properly. All this with straight talk and no attempt to sell us more than what we needed!
Daniel really cares about his customers. We’re sold and have our new go to plumbing source.

They were awesome. The customer service team on the phone were great. The Plummer arrived, assessed the situation immediately, explained what was going on and fixed the problem.
The only issue I had was that the company took a long time to deposit my check.
3 plus weeks.
Aside from that everything was great.
Give them a call, you won’t be sorry.

I called Rooter Hero because our plumbing stopped up and they were advertising a $ 77 special, which is half the average charge by other plumbers.
The guy came out and started to snake the pipes. The snake got about 10 feet into the pipe when he said my pipe had collapsed and it would have to be replaced. He said the only way to be sure was to use a camera, at a cost of $ 389. He said if I had them do the work, they would waive the camera fee. I always get a second opinion when it comes to spending $ 5000 or more and told him I would think about it.
The next day my wife called a local plumber to get the second opinion, and when she told him what Rooter Hero told us, he laughed and said that’s how they operate. They convince you to do unnecessary work at a high price. He then snaked the pipe in less than 10 minutes and charged us $ 145.00.
In all fairness to Rooter Hero, they did not charge us anything because they could not clear the pipe, but would have charged us in excess of $ 5000 for work that did not need to be done had we agreed to just let them dig up our yard and replace a pipe that didn’t need replacing.
I can’t say with absolute certainty they they were setting us up for a big rip off, but I can say the guy they sent out did not know what he was doing if he couldn’t clear a clog that took ten minutes to clear.

Great guys, really nice and personable. But then that where it stops, really expensive and they offer financing to help. They will price the job then say let’s see how much you qualify for…, our job was first $ 24,000.00 then due to my credit, $ 8,400.00 by the bank, so they said they would do it for that price… GEE REALLY? Big difference between estimate and job price final… Guess was smart to get two more estimates. Ending up doing the repairs with another plumber, exactly the same scope of work for (now get this) $ 1,735.00. Pays to call around.

I have never put a review on Unilocal,but these guys were so good I had to give them my first one. It was almost 10PM on a monday night: I actually called another company to come and quoted 1 hour to get here. My brother called this company Rooter Hero and they told him it would be 1 – 1.5 hours. After I told him that I already called someone he told the Hero Rooter dispatch that we already have someone coming on the way. The dispatch told my brother that they will EXPEDITE it and have someone before the other company. To my disbelief they were actually here before the other company. I was skeptical at first, but Paul and Scott really took care of us. Really good attitude and overall experience. Cheap, fast and good. VERY RARE these days. IMHO.
I am going to use these guys for all my plumbing work moving forward. A++++
