Disappointed. To sum up my view of this restaurant: It is an average Japanese steakhouse with above average pricing and below average portion sizes. We had sushi and hibachi on this trip. The sushi was prepared quickly. They didn’t have the ingredients to make one of our rolls so we changed the order. No big deal with that. The taste was bland and not impressive overall. The hibachi… I ordered the sesame chicken. This is usually $ 12 – 14 at most places I eat. It was almost $ 18 here. What did I get for the $ 4 difference? A smaller portion. Yay. I’m not a large guy and usually have left overs but here I finished the ‘whole’ meal(if you can call it that) and still had to go to Chickfila after. The food came out quickly and as others mentioned the chicken is a little dry but still tasty. Service was also quick but for the money I would go to any other Japanese steakhouse I could find or just go to the Chickfila behind it.

Service was very disorganized and cook kept complaining about the waitresses disappearing and not helping. Service was very slow and food was not all that good. Will go to Canton or Woodstock next time.

Good quality fish time and the cost is very reasonable for the portion sizes. Only negatives about it probably wont bother others. Unlike other types of food, I prefer our entire order at once, instead of one roll at a time. If this bothers you, just ask at the time of order to hold it all till its all ready to serve, they will accommodate. If not, enjoy the family friendly atmosphere and great food here.

This place is bomb. My family went the other night, 10 of us and they took great care of us– everything from the toddlers food to the adults with their alcoholic beverages. The boyfriend Is prepping for a fitness event and the bed even went light on the sauce on the meat for him.

I’ve have better sushi and fried rice but my boyfriend loves to eat here. It’s ok but I wish I didn’t have to taste the gasoline taste from the shrimp or chicken. So it’s a three star ! For me but my boyfriend thinks it’s a five ! Star

I enjoy going to Tokyo when I’m in town to visit my mother in law. I love the chicken fried rice. Several sushi rolls I love. I think it’s the Lion king roll, that’s my husbands favorite. Staff is kind. Restaurant clean. Some days parking can be scarce.

My son had a very good steak. My shrimp were good but the chicken was a tad dry. The wife had teriyaki chicken which she really enjoyed. A little high on the prices for this area but the cook and server were very nice. I would return. Didn’t try the sushi but it looked clean and fresh.

Love this place. Owner and other sushi chefs are very friendly and remembered us after our first visit. Very fresh. A bit expensive but worth it.

Do not eat here. Service was terrible and food was very mediocre. We had 2 couples at our table. The other couple has there dinner and finished 15 minutes before we were even served ours. Server passed us off to someone else when we complained. Terrible place.

My husband and I just left Tokyo. I found a large piece of metal in my rice. To make matters worse, they still made us pay $ 9.35 for a side salad and drinks. My family and I will NEVER visit this restaurant again!

We have been regulars here for years, and have always had an excellent experience. It’s never even been mediocre — always perfect. We’ve probably averaged once a month for the last 7 – 8 years. We love hibachi and sushi, and have tried several similar restaurants all over the country in traveling for my job, and while some are better than others our comment is always, «Nothing beats Tokyo!». Hard to imagine that you’d find really good sushi and grade-A hibachi in a little North GA town, but believe it. I’ve noticed that it’s a bit pricier than some other hibachi restaurants in the area. We’ve eaten at the others a few times as well, and it seems that perhaps the difference is in the quality of the food, particularly the meats. For example, we usually order filet at Tokyo, and it’s always fresh, fork-tender, and delicious. At some other restaurants it seems to be of lower quality, perhaps not as tender or with a slight gamey taste. Even the vegetables at Tokyo are fresh and crisp. And the white sauce is to die for! I promise I don’t work there or even know anyone who does, we just love the place!
