Extremely satisfied with services provided! John responded to my phone call immediately and was able to make time to come change my locks on a non-​emergent basis on the same day I called. His prices are very reasonable and he was very friendly and efficient. I definitely would recommend Access Lock & Key to anybody looking for a locksmith!

My car key broke in half inside of my car and I needed to drive to work the next morning. He went out of his way to squeeze me in at the end of the day to accommodate my needs. He quoted me 2 prices and also tried his best to give me the cheaper price, which I ended up getting. He showed me how everything works and provided fast excellent service for a great price, lower than getting a new key from a dealer. If you need a locksmith, this is your guy.

Called to have utility box lock picked as we lost the key and within 15 minutes, John was here. Took longer to write the receipt for $ 85 dollars than it did to pick the lock but I was grateful for the quick, friendly service.

We just moved to the area and needed our house re-​keyed. I called John at Access Lock & Key this morning. He quoted the price and was able to come out right away. The cost was exactly what he had quoted, even though he did a little repair to a deadbolt and a handle.

I needed to have all of my locks re-​keyed and checked out Unilocal to find a locksmith. Searched and found Access Lock & Key. It is hard to find someone reliable and trustworthy to do something like this. I read a lot of reviews and did my research before calling, thought maybe he would come the next week. Not so, he was able to come the same day and even arrived early.
John was professional and courteous from our first telephone conversation through the installation of the last changed lock. He even threw in a couple extra keys and smoothed out the receiver for my front door lock, now there is no friction. I work in client service and this is very important to me when buying a product or service.
John is not only top notch at his craft, but he understands how to treat his clients with a friendly and professional demeanor. If I ever need more work done, he will be the first person I call and I will recommend him to anyone who needs a great locksmith that cares deeply about his craft and his clients. You will get great service at a fair price with John and Access Lock & Key.

John is a lifesaver! We just had the locks changed on our new home and low and behold I managed to lose my set of keys within a week! John was able to come out on a Friday morning before Easter with no issues. I will recommend him to everyone. Great service!

I made service call and the appointment was changed twice through the tenant. When John called me, before the service, asked for my payment info I was driving to a gyn and did not have my CC with me. He made me feel that I was not going to pay him. I told john that I would be able to provide the payment info at 7pm and he did not like that. If he started his job at 5:30pm and if I call at 7pm for payment info that seems very reasonable to me. Apparently he only cares about his own schedule and not others. This is not the best way to provide service or grown your business.
A long time Cary resident. I would not use Access ever again. I would have given a zero star if I had the choice.

Just used him… fast, reasonable, and did an excellent job.
We had a KEVO bluetooth lock and 6 locks rekeyed on a home we purchased today. He had my lock up and running and locks redone very quickly.
I was impressed with the profession service and reasonable prices. I just wish his credit card payment system offered an option for tipping. I would have easily given him an extra 20.

We needed our garage door opened quick. They responded in less than an hour, picked the lock, and made three spare keys quickly. Very professional and were very clear about their prices and services before arriving. Very affordable.

We just bought a new home and wanted the locks changed for my peace of mind.
I called Access Lock & Key and John, the owner, answered. (Not an answering service +). I asked him what the cost was and he stated the service charge and the per cylinder rate over the phone (++). I asked him when I could get on the schedule and he was able to come with in 30 minutes! (Unheard of +++). He was in my home a total of 20 minutes to change the locks. I felt safe with him here and I would highly recommend him.
If ever needed I will definitely use Access Lock & Key and will recommend him to everyone. My real estate agent also.

Fantastic! Moved into our new house and needed the locks rekeyed, called and John just happened to be able to be over in about 20 minutes. He was in and out in no time and did a great job. Very nice guy, will definitely be the first one I call if I need a locksmith in the future.

Extremely nice and informative guy. He rekeyed the locks for my house. I called around first and I liked that he gave me a flat rate per cylinder and service call fee. He was accommodating to my schedule, and I felt comfortable with him at my home.

Just bought a house in the area and needed our locks changed. He was fast and courteous… arrived within 30 minutes of my call to him. Reasonably priced lower than another estimate I received. I’ve never used a locksmith before, so I have nothing to compare him too but overall I was satisfied with his service.

Just needed a pretty simple re-​key of my new townhome, but in my call to ask questions, John provided more information than any other locksmith I had called (it’s the number of cylinders, not the number of doors). He was available to come on the same day and provided quick and effective service. He kept me informed as he moved back and forth between the doors, rooms and his van (to set everything up) and the total time was very quick.
I don’t use a locksmith often, but John is now at the top of my list. Thank you for such prompt and courteous service!

John came the same day I called which I didn’t expect and charged me less than he quoted me because he was able to fix a broken doorknob lock. He was also here early and finished quickly which means a lot because I have often had people scheduled to do work at my house and they don’t show up or show up late. It was also very appreciated that he was looking after my child and recommended I vacuum after he left to make sure to get any stray shavings from installing the deadbolt. Very professional and I would definitely recommend John.

With a broken front door deadbolt, I turned to Unilocal to find a local locksmith on the quick. Based on the reviews, I called John with Access Lock & Key. Less than 2 hours later, my lock is repaired.
John was prompt and courteous. He was able to replace my busted latch with one he had in his van, only charging me for a repair since it wasn’t a «brand new» latch. He took the time to make sure everything was replaced correctly (not askew), and oiled up the mechanism so it would work smoothly.
For $ 60, I’m very happy with the timeliness and service I received. I would definitely recommend Access Lock & Key.

John with Access Lock and Key completely saved the day. I was looking for help with a busted front door double-​cylinder lock that I assumed was damaged beyond repair.
The first locksmith I called came out and attempted to charge me over $ 100 to get the job done. This quote was laughable especially considering the ~$ 50.00 he attempted to charge me as his contractor’s fee. I refused his service and set about doing the job myself. To be brief, I failed. I then went with my better judgment and called John based on his previous Unilocal ratings.
John came within an hour of my phone call and completely repaired my faulty inside cylinder. Then while testing his work to make sure the job was done John noticed the outside cylinder was snagging on the key a bit and requiring much more effort than expected to lock. John took it upon himself to take the lock apart again and re-​pin the outside cylinder as well!
Lastly, as John was double checking his work for a second time he saw that my standard door knob lock below my double cylinder bolt lock was also a little finicky. John tightened up this lock as well as well as the latch on the frame to make sure that it caught smoothly.
I was personally thankful for John’s diligence and the amount of knowledge I was able to absorb from watching him work. Although, fortunately it will likely be a while before I’m required to put it to work.

Access Lock & Key was the only Triangle area locksmith that was willing or able to help us out of the dozen locksmiths that we called. He was on site in less than 20 minutes and had the new key made in less than 5. Very reasonably priced too. If I ever need another locksmith in the area I know who to call first now!
