Bannard Family Chiropractic & Acupuncture

I bought a Groupon for acupuncture and massage. I had my acupuncture appt. first and was very impressed by Lee’s knowledge and skill. I’ve had tension in my upper back/​shoulders that radiates down into my hands. I felt significantly better after I left my appt. Two weeks later I had my appt. with Jaye for my massage. In the interest of full disclosure, I don’t go for «fluffy» massages. I have knots and tightness that cause me pain and I want someone who can make me feel better. Jaye’s knowledge of anatomy was impressive. When I described my spots of discomfort and pain she knew just where she needed to work and it wasn’t necessarily where the pain was coming from. I’ve been back once to see Jaye and have another appointment scheduled. She’s a gem and I am so glad that I found her. I was going to schedule another set of three appointments with Lee after my Groupon appt. but the receptionist (female) didn’t call me back with answers to some appointment questions I had as she said she would. Maybe I’ll pursue it again one day. Finally, the building is outdated and looks almost deserted when you pull up. I think that Bannard would be able to stop doing Groupons if they bit the bullet and moved to a more respectable looking location. Their facility is nice but it’s difficult to get beyond the initial impression.

I have been seeing Dr. Bannard for about a month now. I woke up one morning and could not turn my neck. I called around to several Chiropractic offices but Dr Bannard was the only one that was willing to see me that day! He is very knowledgeable about health and wellness and will educate his patients on what is best for them. Also, I really like that he firmly believes in the holistic approach. I would recommend Dr. Bannard to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Bannard and the Bannard Center staff are wonderful! I have been seeing him to treat various conditions for over 5 months and have experienced big improvements in my well-​being. Dr. Bannard is not like most doctors, who only give you 5 – 10 minutes of their time. Instead, he’ll spend as much time as he feels you need, ensuring your happiness and comfort the entire time. When I first started seeing Dr. Bannard, it was treat to treat my autoimmune disease. I had brain fog, fatigue, and pain and the other practitioners I had see elsewhere had only been able to help me slightly. After seeing Dr. Bannard, I have more energy and am more clear headed; so much so, in fact, that I’ve been able to successfully start graduate school. I feel so welcome and well taken care of there; and I feel like I’m doing a lot better in large part to Dr. Bannard’s passion for treating every patient and wanting to see them heal.

Just had my first massage here, which I bought through a groupon. The place is not impressive to look at, however the service was actually decent. The massage therapist I had was female (didn’t catch her name) and she was very kind and skilled. She gave me tips about stretching certain parts of my body to help with the tension.
My biggest complaint was the place didn’t smell great. They could use some aromatherapy or something. The building looks a bit cheap, but it’s just aesthetics.

I’ve been going to Dr. Bannard since I moved to NC 3 years ago. He is soooo knowledgable and experienced in a variety of treatments including accupuncture. He knows exactly what’s going on with me even though I go for preventiative checks each month. He is also very personable and I sense he really cares about his patients. The massage therapist, Sebastian, is awesome. My husband and I got a massage from him and he is very knowledgable and professional. Front desk staff is always friendly. They also accomodate you if you need a last minute appt.

I’ve had better! Way better a matter of fact. Bought a groupon and went for a massage. Probably one of the worst massages I’ve gotten. Uncomfortable head rub, more like jamming a finger into the top of my head, same thing with the back. I told the female massage therapist to work the kinks out of my back, but all she did was drive her elbow into the knots in my back. Extremely uncomfortable. I can understand that some of that needed to be worked on but she never massaged my back. It’s my fault, I did not speak up because I kept thinking that at some point she would massage and she never did. Also, I was not offered water at the end, like most places, to flush the toxins out. I have another groupon to use at this place. I’ve been told there is a male massage therapist. I guess I’ll be seeing him, but do not see the female unless you like a finger or elbow jammed into your muscles. However that’s not a massage to me and I will not be back to see her. Oh, and I did not like the fact that the massage table sheets was a colored print… you can see bodily fluid stains. I prefer white sheets to lay on so that I can see the sheets are clean.

Within the Bannard center are different services: 2 independent chiropractic practices and massage therapy services. Most of the comments are about the massage services or the other chiropractor practice. I would like to comment specifically on the services I have recd from dr. Bannard himself. He is an excellent chiropractor. I’ve seen a few in the Cary area over the last 15 yrs. He is one of the most thorough and comprehensive. He specializes in holistic care and will spend a lot of time with you to get to know your health history. I have referred friends and family to his practice. He has a lot of patients that will only see him exclusively. The other practice is using discounted massages to build his practice, but this is negatively affecting the reputation of Dr. Bannard which is unfortunate, because he is very good at what he does.

I had a groupon for a 90-​minute massage here and the process was pretty simple (didn’t get sold any chiropractic services or anything else). The first time I got a massage at a different place, I was in pain the next few days so I never went back. Here, I was in a bit of pain during the massage, but I endured it because she was giving me a deep-​tissue massage to knead out the knots. I didn’t feel any pain the next day, so that’s a good sign! My main complaint is that the face pillow smelled like cigarettes, so I would suggest that they change their pillows often.

I had a GREAT massage by Devon. He has a sense of care and compassion about his work.
Met with ?? (he didn’t introduce himself). I guess a chiropractor. We discussed back surgeries I’ve had, along with other surgeries. The man said ‘so you are experiencing lots of pain all the time’. I said ‘no, I am feeling fine’. He appeared annoyed with me and very uninterested in me as a person. I assume he had some other matters on his mind. He asked if I ever had chiro care before and I acknowledged yes and that I also had worked for a chiropractor when I was younger. He asked if I was seeing a chiro currently and I said no. He, whatever his name was, said I needed to come in for regular chiro care. (uh?). I said, ‘Sure!’ (lol) I scheduled an appt to get out of there as quickly as I could and responded to the email verification that I was cancelling my appt and would call to reschedule when I am back in town. From other reviews it appears ‘they may not get that msg and will call me asking where I am’. I will update this review if I indeed ‘get the unnecessary ‘where are you’ call’.

Bad experience. Would not go back and not suggest anyone else does. Did not return my email about lack of quality service.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bannard for several years, he has been awesome at helping me with my back and neck problems. He always gives you as much time as you need for adjustments and always listens carefully to your concerns. I also get regular acupuncture treatments and twice monthly massages which are soooo great. I’ve always found his staff to be helpful, attentive and accommodating with any questions or scheduling needs. My mother, sister and brother in law have all started using Dr. B and they just love him.
