Seriously… why does this place have an overall four star review? I am upset that we chose this place based on reviews and really it was just no good. Maybe they were completely off that night? First of all… I know not to eat somewhere if it does not smell good outside the restaurant. I swear there must have been a skunk nearby in some bushes. But I did not let this hold me back! When we first entered and approached the hostess station at the front, the two young ladies there didn’t even acknowledge us. I said«hello» to them and neither of them even looked up at me and one of them said«one moment», left the station and returned 3 minutes later to finally let me know how long the wait would be. We should have left then since they seemed to not care whether we were there or not. We then waited 20 minutes, which I didn’t mind as long as the food was good! Our waitress was okay, nothing spectacular… she did her job but did not seem very happy to be there. Drinks refilled at a decent speed. But the food really caught me off guard. Why has nobody on here mentioned how terrible the chicken is??? Two of the three of us got pasta dishes with chicken. The chicken was NOT fresh. It was like buying cheap chicken from the grocery with that very strange texture and taste. I started to eat around the chicken because I couldn’t take it, unfortunately, the taste of it seeped into everything surrounding it and my entire thing tasted like bad chicken. My dish also had shrimp in it but this did not save it. The third dish in the crew was«alright» according to him but I am sorry I cannot remember what he had. I expect more from entrees ranging from $ 15-$ 17. Oh, the bread was good… I liked the Parmesan cheese in the oil. But it wasn’t enough to make me want to waste money there again.

Always been happy with my food, and I usually always order different items. For lunch, I really like the price and variety of the soup/salad/sandwich combo. A big step up from The Olive Garden, yet still a yummy and friendly place. My kids also like it.

The food is this place’s biggest asset. Yes, it is a chain, but everything always seems fresh and non-frozen. The dishes aren’t particularly adventurous but they are thoughtful recipes with what I would call subdued flavors(the butternut squash ravioli is a particular favorite). The bread and dipping oil with cheese is passable and, as others have pointed out, the lunch half salad/half pasta is a good deal that gives you a nice variety of flavors and textures at lunchtime. And there are a lot of different options/combos to choose from. And there is a gluten free menu, if your diet requires that. Most people will find something they want to eat here. What irritates me here, though, is the service. For one thing, the food comes sloooooowly, especially if you are in a party of three or more. Don’t plan on getting out of here in less than an hour at lunch. And the waiters. Sigh. I don’t think most of them have much training or know much about food, frankly. On one particular trip, my co-worker asked our waiter what beers they had on tap and he could not tell her. But rather than saying, «Let me check on that,» he let her ask repeatedly, «Do you have Sam Adams?» «Blue Moon?» And on and on a few more times with him saying«I don’t know» each time! Eventually she just gave up and someone from our table ordered from the bar. Absurd. More recently, our large party(for which we had two or three waiters) must have waited a good 10 – 15 minutes for our empty plates to be cleared, long after it was very obvious we had all finished eating. I watched them walk by us, rather aghast. The plates were clearly in our way, they weren’t refilling our drinks, and they weren’t doing much at other tables that I could tell, either. I just don’t get it. Long story short: go here if you want fresh Italian food with a variety of options. But don’t expect to be wowed by the whole experience.

My girlfriend and I just moved here and wanted some Italian food and this seemed to catch my eye. And I’m glad it did. One of the best experiences at a resturaunt, as they kept the doors open because we showed up late. But there was no skimping on the flavor in the food. DEFINITELY be the place I’ll take out of town visitors.

Was there for dinner on a Friday night. They were out of the osso Bucco at 7:30. On a Friday night no less!!! Settled for the pork chops that were over cooked and too salty for my liking. However, the service was excellent and good family setting.

Yes this is a chain with about the most random list of locations nationwide that I have ever seen. But the Chicken Pietro($ 16.95) is an awesome dish for takeout and I’ve been getting it for years… it is chicken breast and grilled portobellos drizzled in a honey mustard/rosemary/balsamic sauce that is finger licking and lip smacking good. The staff here is very friendly and happy to help make recommendations for healthier options, including ordering from the new«lighter side» additions to the menu that were added in Spring 2013. The menu is extensive and offers a ton of options that sound delicious but this location is so far off the beaten path for me that I don’t come often and when I do, it is Pietro that I want!

Again, thanks to Unilocal,I found about this restaurant today, for my lunch near RDU airport. It was the photos posted on Unilocal that attracted me to Biaggi’s. Thank you all Unilocalers! Very nice brick building, spacious front area inside and a very charming young lady with big smile welcomed us. Very good first impression. The young female server was quite knowledgeable about the menu items and efficient, and friendly. The food was great. Especially the Half Salad & Half Pasta which is only available at lunch time. What’s unique here is that you can choose any pasta from the menu and the Half Salad is refillable. Then why do you call it half salad??? But that’s really nice. My half pasta — Black(squid ink) Fettucine with Lobster and Mushrooms — was delicious and plenty for ‘half pasta”. Our server emphasized that their fish are fresh because they were brought in directly from the port within 48 hours and never frozen. The sales talk worked on me and I ordered North Atlantic Cod. It was served with a very good presentation but unfortunately, it as lacking flavor/seasoning. Overall, it was a very pleasant and delicious experience.

Being a big fan of Italian Restaurants I had great expectations for this place and they were fulfilled. I went for lunch and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the half pasta, half salad item. My choice of pasta was the Blackened Fettuccine with Lobster and for my salad I had a classic Caesar Salad. The Blackened Fettuccine with Lobster something I have never had before and was great! Oh yeah and that only cost me $ 9.99. By far my favorite was the Strawberry Lemonade which appeared to have true essence of Strawberries. It was amazing and I recommend it to anyone! The waitress was a little annoying but it was still great service.

Biaggi’s has a good lunch and dinner menu. I like the lunch option for a small serving of an entrée’ with an unlimited salad. The service is good and they have a full bar. The restrooms are clean, which is usually a good sign of a clean kitchen. The menu options are typical of most Italian restaurants, but are well prepared.

Great place and great service. our server was very helpful and was very patient. the hostess was very nice too. I had butter squash ravioli, i am not a fan, it tasted like lean cuisine squash ravioli . However, my friend had the Alfredo pasta and it was really good . I also had the house salad, that was really good too. for my drink, i had a virgin Piña colada and i loved it. it is the best Pina Colada that i ever had. they had vanilla flavors in it that made it so special and it was ice-cream cold. just what i needed.

Wow, what awesome service! We we’re a bit apprehensive taking the two little ones, our 3YO daughter and 1YO son, to such a nice place, but it was early and a weekday so we figured we’d be safe. They happily set us at a booth so the kids couldn’t wander, so that was a good start. Our primary server, our table had 2, offered to bring oranges, carrots, and crackers for the kids to munch on while they waited for their food. Talk about a crowd pleaser! Meanwhile my wife and I enjoyed the awesome food on their 600 calorie and under menu. We’re not dieting, just always looking for smaller portions so you don’t feel like a stuffed whale after a meal. A half bottle of chianti was very good as well. After the kids finished, they gobbled down their chocolate sundae — which is included with a drink with all the kids meals. We’ll definitely be back, but maybe just the missus and I next time.

I still like this place. Good ambiance and service, but the food has been disappointing twice in a row now, so had to adjust my star rating. Come on, I hope that they watch their consumer ratings and will consider whether they are at their best. I’d like to see them back at 4-star again.

I was pleased with both the service and the food when we went for lunch. I was told that it was a chain before we went for the first time — and I wondered how good the experience would be. I can’t say anything negative about the service. The waitress came out and asked if we had been there before. Since we had not, she spent a little time going over the menu and highlighted some selections on the menu. I appreciated that. The manager was working the room also — waiting on tables, not just ‘face-timing’. The food was really good. The start was fresh bread brought to the table. The selections we made were fresh and very tasty. I am looking forward to an excuse to go again — I just wish it was closer and more convenient to where we live. :-)

This place was picked for a company dinner with our leadership and all the teams and I was kind of disappointed that this place seemed like a generic Italian chain restaurant. However, the food was fantastic! Italian food is one of those things that’s really hard to screw up but also really hard to wow me by. And I definitely have to say that the food here is fantastic. We had a sectioned off back area with catering, so my experience may be a little different that a normal dining in experience. However, I definitely appreciated the opportunity to taste a variety of their menu items. Their Bruschetta was amazingly perfect — I would go back for this appetizer alone. The Chicken Parm was great as well as the Ziti al Forno. The only thing I have to ding them for food-wise is their desserts — the tiramisu and cheesecake all came out frozen in the center. Great service and all around a great experience — they even boxed and marked all of our catered leftovers for us to take home. Needless to say I had Biaggi’s for several more meals that week. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the mood for Italian in Cary!

I’m a big fan of Biaggi’s. Yes it is an italian chain — but it does everything well. The atmosphere is elegant and excellent — and I have NEVER had bad service here. Great selection of wine! The bread is always warm and delicious. The calamari is pretty good — nothing spectacular but ALWAYS good. I normally get the chicken parmegiana which you can get with marinara or alfredo sauce. — i like having the option and I’ve had it both ways — and both are very good. Great place for lunch or dinner. Have never left disappointed.

I’m part of a professional group that occasionally books the private dining room here for a presentation and dinner. It’s a nice little room that seats about a dozen or so people, and is perfect for what we use it for. Yes, this place is an Italian chain, and while it may be unspectacular, it seems to do everything well. It’s unassumingly elegant, and everything I’ve ordered(I usually get a soup or salad and a half-order of the capellini de mare) has been good. Prices are quite reasonable(my meal plus a glass of wine is usually under $ 25), and the service is very friendly and competent. Overall, I like Biaggi’s and look forward to our meetings here.

I have been to Biaggi’s three times now and the experience has been different each time. Overall, I have always enjoyed my meal and my dining experience, but I have had some trouble with getting a good waiter. They have very inconsistent service as far as staff goes, and I have experienced both the good and the bad here. The first time I went I was with a group of six. Our waiter was excellent, he gave amazing service, maybe the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant before. He was courteous, friendly, funny, super helpful and came at appropriate timing with the drinks and the food. I tried the Sherry tomato soup which is incredible(I now get it every time I go), and my meal(raviolis) was excellent as well. The meals are priced fairly, not too expensive, but the quality is still good. I absolutely loved my first experience at Biaggi’s. I was so impressed with this place the first time I went, that when I had friends in town visiting from New York, I had to take them here. I have a friend who suffers from Celiac’s Disease, and Biaggi’s has an extensive gluten free menu, including pizzas, pastas and bread, so it was great for her as she had a wide selection to choose from. The waiter was nothing like our first waiter, he was okay, polite and courteous but not personable at all. He came to immediately take our orders, and since we were talking we hadn’t decided yet, and that seemed to annoy him, so he gave us like thirty seconds then came back to ask again. I felt very rushed. Then when he brought us our food he waited forever before he came to ask how we were doing. We had needed refills on our drinks for a while, and he was nowhere to be found. Once our food came out though it was delicious and seemed to make up for the less than perfect service, and overall, we all enjoyed ourselves. The third time I went to Biaggi’s the food took forever to come out. Now granted, the place was crowded, but it wasn’t what I would call crazy. It took about twenty minutes before we got our wine and water, and we were there forty-five minutes before we got our appetizer. I started to think that the waiter completely forgot about us. And the worse part was, he didn’t stop by ONCE to say he was sorry about the wait or our food would be coming out shortly. I know he doesn’t get to control how fast the food is made, but he could have at least stopped by to see how we were doing, or if we wanted more bread while we waited, or whatever. Once we placed our food order he just disappeared. Luckily, my entrée made up for the long wait because it was EXCELLENT. I got the special, rigatoni topped with fried eggplant and mozzarella balls with marinara sauce. It was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it even when I was way past full. Biaggi’s is a hard restaurant for me to make a decision about because even though I have gotten annoyed with the service, the food it always really good, and it keeps me coming back for more. I’d definitely recommend checking it out. I have always gone on a weekend, so maybe during the weekend service would be better.

Having grown up in an Italian section of the north Bronx, I’m very picky when it comes to my pizza and Italian food, as I can cook so much of that on my own. I have never been disappointed with a meal at Biaggi’s, except, maybe, when they changed their foccaccia bread. The atmosphere has a nice vibe, although the dining room can get a bit noisy when full. Their side salads are big enough to share, and the salmon and shrimp over lemon risotto is de-lish — I usually ask for the lemon butter sauce on the side. I’ve had quite a few of their dishes over the years. If you have a chance, take advantage of their Early Diner special(3:30 — 5:30??) — soup, salad(their iceberg wedge with bleu cheese is to die for!) and a smaller portion of their entrees, for $ 14.99! Buon Appetito!

I have been to Biaggi’s Itialian restaurant a few times and have been quite impressed each time. First all of all this is a chain, but doesn’t have the feel of one. I mean it has kind of an intimate high class setting, and isn’t at all like an Olive Garden(nothing against O. G). The waiter starts you off with crusty bread and a plate of olive oil with parmesan cheese to dip the bread in. The iced tea is also highly recommended. It is very refreshing with a hint of berry(think it was raspberry or blackberry) and the waiter was always ready to give me a refill when I needed it. The waiters are very prompt and professional here. My most recent visit I went for lunch and wasn’t super hungry so I just ordered the soup and salad combo.(They offer a lot of half and half combo specials for lunch including soups, salads and pasta). The soup was tomato with a bit of sherry and had a great tangy taste and the croutons were a perfect companion. The salad was a house salad with a vinaigrette dressing and as fresh and crispy. The portions weren’t huge, but I should add that they offer unlimited refills of soup and salad as part of their lunch special. A prior visit several years ago, I went for dinner and had their lasagna. I remember that being quite enjoyable as well. They offer a wide variety of Italian dishes, appetizers and desserts. Biaggi’s is a real winner for a classy, and relaxing Italian dining experience.

Biaggi’s is one of my husband’s favorite restaurants. Whenever he has to set up a business meeting over lunch, he always tries to make it Biaggi’s. The place does have a nice, formal atmosphere for business meetings, and I also see a lot of kids coming here for things like prom and formals. Yet it’s also casual enough that you can come here with some visiting family for lunch or dinner and have a nice, relaxing evening. Generally we go to Biaggi’s for lunch, because my husband loves the panini. But last Saturday we went for dinner, so it was a slightly different menu than we normally see. No panini, but at least they have the stromboli he likes too. This time he ordered the mushroom and pepperoni stromboli. Even at dinner time, the stromboli is only $ 9.99 which is pretty decent for the size and quality of the dish. I usually try the pasta dishes. I’ve had the Rigatoni alla Toscana before and it’s one of my favorite meals, but I wanted to try something else today so I ordered the Veal Parmesan. It was a bit more expensive than the stromboli, at $ 18.99, but I don’t think it’s unusual for an Italian dinner entrée. We also ordered the Calimari Fritti as an appetizer because we were pretty hungry. The kid’s menu includes several different entrée options and a drink and ice cream sundae included, all for $ 5.99. My son ordered the kid’s cheese pizza(hold the sauce) with some orange juice. They bring out a bread basket which is really good dipped in the olive oil and parmesan cheese. It makes for a good snack before your meal. My son’s pizza came out in just a few minutes, so he could get a head start on us. He usually takes a while to eat. My husband and I helped ourselves to his pizza, because it was huge. I couldn’t imagine any child could actually finish a pizza like that in one or even 3 sittings. Even without the sauce, it was a pretty good pizza. I was disappointed he didn’t like it, but it didn’t look exactly like Papa John’s cheese sticks so he didn’t even want to try it. My husband ended up finishing the rest for lunch the following week and he thought it was great. Our calamari wasn’t huge for $ 8.99, and it wasn’t extraordinary. I just think for the price, we’d either try a different appetizer, or save the room for a dessert afterward. I don’t really like paying more than about $ 5 for appetizers unless they’re mind-blowing. Besides, the bread alone could fill you up, so appetizers aren’t really required here. After our entrees arrived, my husband realized they had given him the sausage and cheese stromboli instead of the mushroom and pepperoni. It was taken back to the kitchen, but alas, the mushroom and pepperoni had already been given to another customer. They offered to make a new stromboli for him, but rather than wait another 10 – 15 minutes, he decided just to eat the sausage and cheese stromboli. He’s eaten both kinds before and likes them both. They were nice enough to take the stromboli completely off the bill for us, even though we said it was fine. The veal parmesan was thicker than I’ve usually seen it, in 3 cheese-covered pucks of meat. I would have preferred thinner meat, but the cheese was fantastic. It also came with a side of spaghetti with a white sauce, and the sauce was unbelievable. I love their cream sauces here. We didn’t get any dessert, since we were stuffed from all the food. I don’t think we’ve ever managed to have desserts here since the portions are so huge. I think the veal parmesan is probably not a dish I’d order again(the Rigatoni alla Toscana is just so much better), but I’d love to keep trying more entrees there. In my opinion it’s the best Italian restaurant in Cary.
