Food was very good and service was great! Loved the ambiance and the menu was not overwhelming.

Our favorite asian food in the area! Now a regular spot for us at least once a week.
I came across this place randomly one day, and I’ve never stopped enjoying it! The interior is lovely and always clean and open feeling, and the staff is always super friendly. The food though is so flavorful! I always get the General Tso chicken and it’s the best I think I’ve ever had anywhere. It’s not too hot, the right amount of spice and so flavorful. It’s not runny, its just divine. My boyfriend always gets the steak and broccoli and it’s always fresh and cooked perfect.
If you go at lunch, even lunch on weekends, you can get a meal with a salad and it’s a great deal for their special. The dinner prices can be a bit up there but honestly, the food is so good it’s worth every penny. You won’t be disapointed.

Love this place! I have lived close by but did not stop in until yesterday.

Good Chinese food seems hard to find around Apex, that is until Gogi Bistro. We are beginning to call it our regular. My wife loves the candy walnut shrimp. I am crazy for the hot and sour soup, Gogi berry chicken and spring rolls. Make it a point to try this place.

Great new décor; fresh, open space.
Sat at bar. GM Ken was a very gracious and attentive host. He recommended the Goji Hot Fish — excellent dish. I would now recommend this dish as well!
Also, really enjoyed the Pan Dan cake. Light and refreshing.

Schoene Ambiente, Sevice ein bisschen lasch. Essen voll in Ordnung. Wir haben Krebs/​Cream Cheese Won Tons und Calimaris gehabt. Frau S isst keine Calimaris aber die haben ihr geschmeckt.
Hauptgaenge Thai Basil Beef und Vulkan Shrimps haben sehr gut geschmeckt, Portionen absolut ausreichend (wir haben was mit nach Hause nehmen koennen).
Also, als Casual Date voll geeignet. Essen in Ordnung aber kein wirkliche erhobene Cuisine. Preis-​Leistung in Ordnung.
Zwei Cocktails, ein Bier, zwei Vorspeisen und zwei Hauptspeisen $ 72 ohne Trinkgeld.
Tip: Fur Lunch alles unter $ 10.

We went to Goji on a Friday night and I had seen the name advertised in local flyers and was eager to try it. The décor is really beautiful with light bamboo wood floors and light wooden tables and bar. The walls are a bright red and there are iconic Chinese dancers above the bar and red lights illuminate the modern restaurant. As we entered, there was no hostess at the stand. The tables by the windows were all full and the high tops and bar area were all empty. The bartender acknowledged we were there and said he would be over in a few minutes. Everyone was going around their business– bartender making mojitos in Stella Artois glasses, servers attending to their tables and still no hostess anywhere. The bartender finally came over and said it would be a few minutes to clear off a table so we waited a bit longer. After this awkward wait, we finally got seated. The experience was better and they just need to work on the first impression since that is a key element to any restaurant or business.
The volcano shrimp are a great appetizer and I would recommend the Singapore noodles with fragrant vegetables and shrimp. Our server was very kind and attentive. All in all it was a good meal and a decent option if you are in the mood for Chinese or other Asian dishes. There is also a coupon for buy one get one with the purchase of two drinks in the Raleigh Citypass book.

I enjoyed dinner at Goji on ¹²⁄₂₂ with a girlfriend. The food was very good (I ordered the pad thai), and the ambiance was updated and trendy. The service – while very friendly and polite – was quite slow though. We got the sense that our server might have been new, so this may have accounted for the speed. Will visit again.

Wanted to try a new Asian place for dinner and after finding a few, this one looked good from the menu and pictures. It was great! This is probably the best Asian I’ve had since moving down here. It was take out too, and still held up from the drive home and being late to pick it up, that’s saying something. Had the egg roll, Mongolian beef, and eggplant with chicken. They all were great, with fresh veggies and amazing sauces. The food tastes just like how the photos look on their menu, so good. Gotta get back and try more from the menu.

Goji Bistro has a nice décor, very good service, and the food is very good. This Asian fusion restaurant has a very good variety of Asian dishes with a focus on high quality Chinese. We’ve had lunch there several times and thoroughly enjoyed eating there. I recommend Goji Bistro for a very good dining experience.

I did take out last week of Goji Chicken and Pineapple Fried Rice with some dumplings. Everything was perfect to the T. So we had to go back for lunch the same week. The place has an upscale feel and looks new. The service was great and they had both chinese and thai options for lunch. I had my Veg Pad thai with hot and sour soup which was delicious and not just broth like most of the places. I slurped it up totally. My husband’s Thai Basil Chicken was way too spicy for him to handle but I loved it. Despite being hip it won’t pinch your wallet. Service was friendly and attentive. We would definitely drop by for lunch any time.

Great dishes. Every meal that came to the table was great. It’s like eating at PF Changs except the food is prepared by real Chinese people with waaaay less sugar and a huge discount.

We had a very nice meal at Goji Bistro, and I would certainly go back for more and recommend it to others.
The hostesses and servers are exceptionally polite and friendly from the time you enter. I ate Summer Rolls and Lettuce Wraps, both which were very delicious. My mom really enjoyed her green curry, and my husband enjoyed his soup. We thought we would take home leftovers, but we devoured all of our food right there!
There were high chairs for the baby, and I felt comfortable having him in the restaurant.
Overall, this is a great place to eat for some delicious Asian fusion food with good service and a relaxed ambiance.

No, it’s not An, more like an independent offering on the scale of P.F. Chang’s — and I mean that in a GOOD way.
We got takeout last night, the portions were HUGE. And the food was very good. Pineapple fried rice and singapore noodles. They weren’t stingy with the shrimp either.
Also got some steamed pork dumplings.
The counter folks were very, very helpful. They brought the food out to my car after about 15 minutes.
I’d really like to go back again to try out the bar and have a nice evening w/​o my louder than reasonable children :)

Very disappointed by this place. It started when I walked in – the décor is nice enough, if bland. It looks kinda like a Starbucks. But then music playing was beyond annoying. They were playing some looping beat that sounded like a 13 year old with a laptop made it. Strike one.
Then we ordered an appetizer of dumplings. Can’t screw up dumplings right? Wrong. It felt like eating lumps of soggy cardboard. No flavor, bad texture. Even the dipping sauce was flavorless. Strike two. And the bad techno music was still playing.
Thank god my entrée was semi-​ok. The Mongolian beef, recommended by the server, was not the worst thing I’d ever had. Definitely nothing special though. I would hate to try their mediocre dishes. Also the portion was small for what I got. Foul ball.
I’m really sad this place isn’t better. The only reason we went is because we had a coupon. I won’t be back. For their sake, I hope they change the music at least. The food is a lost cause.

My husband and I had a very nice dinner experience at Goji Bistro on a Saturday night. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but I was still surprised to see that it was virtually empty on a weekend evening. There were only a few other patrons, which usually isn’t a good sign, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service.
The space doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the interior is brand new — very modern and clean. We were greeted and seated by the owner (I think), who was extremely friendly. Our server Taylor was also very sweet and attentive.
Lots of good looking, reasonably priced options on the menu. I ended up going with the Goji Berry Chicken. Our dishes came out quickly. Definitely a step up from your average Chinese food. Everything tasted great. Chicken was juicy, tender and seasoned to perfection!
Overall, wonderful spot for a quiet date night and gourmet Chinese. 2 drinks and 2 entrees for $ 40 + tip. I hope this place makes it!

Trendy restaurant in the Cary area to get delicious, decently priced Chinese & Thai dishes. Mom and I walked in and grabbed two seats at the bar, our bartender (Peter, I believe was his name) was awesome!
For drinks — I ordered a Sweet Josie while Mom opted for a Sky Blue Golden Ale. I will have to say the Lychee and Ginger Basil Mojito’s looked amazing but I decided to stick with beer, maybe next time!
For food — we started off with an order of the Pork Dumplings, we chose pan seared versus steamed, and Crab & Cream Cheese Crisps. Mom usually does not like dumplings but she really enjoyed these. As far as the other appetizer goes, it was delicious. We decided to split an entrée since we were starting to get full and decided on the Candy Walnut Shrimp. I loved this dish especially the walnuts and pineapple. The ingredients paired so well together! Once we finished, the question was do we order dessert or not? I wanted something light and fluffy, the bartender recommended the Pan-​dan cake. Do not be swayed by the ingredients of this Thai dessert, this cake was GOOD.
I can’t wait to go back!

Goji is definitely added to my list of go-​to lunch places. I went around 2 on a Sunday so there were only three other tables, and despite having just having managed the lunch rush by her lonesome, the waitress was attentive and sweet, totally selling us the pan dan cake as a personal favorite. She convinced me to get some to go, then stood at the table to watch me eat a bite of it so she could share in the smile when I tasted the moist light spongy cake and whipped frosting so light it dances on your tongue. I had read other reviews so knew I had to try the wonton soup (full of so much more than dumplings, it could stand as a meal on its own).
The crispy crab and cream cheese were gone in seconds, melting on the tongue. The Goji chicken lunch was fresh and zingy, only overshadowed by the Masaman chicken curry lunch that Boyfriend ordered. Strong and sweet coconut flavor, but packed with so many other flavors. I’m glad humans get hungry more than once a day so I can eat the leftovers for dinner.

I had a very different experience than many of you Unilocalers. perhaps I visited on an off night? Our server Tommy was friendly but so bad… My friend arrived before me and she told him she was waiting for me. He then asked if she wanted to order… Umm no I’ll wait for my friend. I get there and he took my drink order. 15 minutes later I had to remind him for it (water no ice). I eventually get water with ice. That’s fine I was enjoying my company. I placed my order for papaya salad and spicy basil chicken-​extra spicy. I went to the ladies room and server was back asking my friend if she knew what protein I wanted. Chicken…
Papaya salad comes out and while it looked tasty it was extremely salty — almost inedible. My friend had 2 apps for her meal and they came out together with my salad. Fresh spring rolls and chicken lettuce wraps. Only had a fork for the lettuce wraps so difficult to «spoon» it into the lettuce leaves. I asked how they were and she said «eh». Waiter asked how my papaya salad was and I said it was extremely salty. His response «oh».
Waiter comes by later and asks if I want to order something else or am I only having the salad? I’d like the spicy basil chicken I ordered earlier… When it came out it tasted like they just poured extra black pepper to make it «spicy». there wasn’t a Thai chili to be found.
Service was poor and the food was disappointing. Hopefully I can doctor up the leftovers at home and make them edible. Won’t be back.

I walked in during Sunday lunch one day to a dining room that wasn’t absolutely slammed. The relative emptiness of the dining room added to a naturally beautiful environment. A lot of places don’t offer their lunch menu on Sundays. Fortunately, Goji is generous enough to do so, cause I certainly don’t have money.
Lunch items average around $ 10 and below. Pick between many laowei Chinese and Thai favorites. I ordered the Spicy Basil Shrimp with fried rice and Wonton Soup ($ 1 upcharge).
The Wonton Soup came first, and it did not disappoint. Wonton Soup consists of pork wontons, spinach, chicken, and shrimp. This is a delicious soup, and absolutely formidable for an appetizer. Plus, all soups come with «them crispy noodles,» so no rude jerks have to say «You forgot the noodles.» Seriously, don’t be a jerk when you eat out. But I digress.
The entrees followed shortly after I finished my soup. I was very impressed by the portion size. While I certainly could’ve eaten the entire thing, I decided it would make more fiscal sense to turn my one meal into two meals.
I was also very pleased with the taste of my entrée. The Spicy Basil Shrimp featured savory and spicy flavors, with plenty of vegetables to make you feel like you’re being healthy.
As pleased as I was with the overall experience, there wasn’t that wow factor to push Goji over the top. Still, Goji remains a terrific value for lunch.

The manager spent a good 5 minutes with me discussing the menu and how their specialty dished are prepared. Very friendly and attentive crew.
I dined on the Gogi Hot Fish. If you like unique seafood dishes you should try it.
I will definitely return if I am in Cary again.

The new and refreshed Goji Bistro brings a more modern slant to Asian cuisine deep in Cary! Located at the old Neo-​Asia spot, Goji Bistro’s interior is modern and open with light woods, deep reds and cool lighting overhead. My first visit for lunch was a good experience for a bunch of reasons.
Goji Bistro’s menu is primarily Chinese-​American and Thai. Think General Tso’s, kung pao, basil chicken, curries and more. I order up some cold summer rolls and some candied walnut chicken. Lunches are all under $ 10 and come with a choice of soup or salad. My meal shows up, the summer rolls are nicely done, full and fresh of flavor. The shrimp is a large portion of plump shrimp in a sweet, may sauce with pineapple and walnuts yum! There’s plenty to eat and half of it is going home with me.
Service was very attentive at Goji Bistro but then again, they weren’t that busy. But I’m hoping the locals figure out that Goji Bistro is doing a nice job if you enjoy Chinese and Thai eats! The modern interior and menu makes for a fun and mod dining experience paired with good Asian food…

TIP: Lunch menu as well as the Dinner menu is served until 3 or 4 every day, including weekends. That’s a lot of bang for the buck! Which was good for us because we found ourselves there early on a recent Sunday.
Armed with a dealsaver, we had to try extra hard to make sure we used it all, as their prices are quite reasonable. We started with the Tempura Green Beans with «Spicy» mayo dipping sauce. These were very good, although I didn’t find the sauce to be spicy. We also shared the Summer Roll. Wow good, and so fresh and light. The shrimp were of good size and there was just the right amount of fresh herbs… what really took it over the top was the killer Asian dipping sauce loaded with fresh ginger and spicy chiles.
Fortunately we hadn’t had breakfast, because the lunch entrees come with soup or salad. We both had salad, which was pretty basic iceberg lettuce that was heightened by a tasty creamy ginger dressing. By now we were close to full already but had more coming!
Husband got the Kung Pao Chicken, while I had the Spicy Basil Chicken. Both were excellent! Loved all the veggies. Loved that brown rice was an option. Needless to say we had plenty to take home, and it was just as good leftover. High quality all around!
As for service, the only small complaint was it took awhile to order. We were brought drinks. Then another table was sat, brought drinks and ordered before our Server came back to take our order. And they weren’t very busy, so it was a pretty obvious oversight. The rest of everything more than made up for it however.

Love the atmosphere of this place, it’s fresh, it’s modern, and it feels really hip. It’s a large space with a nice bar and a couple of tables on the patio. They even have a large private room for a big party.
The menu ranges from Chinese to Thai dishes. They have lunch specials which includes a salad, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, or wonton for a $ 1 more. I ordered the spicy basil tofu with brown rice, another nice option is that you can order white or brown rice. A large portion of food for lunch I had plenty to take home. The Spicy Basil dish is among my favorites at Thai restaurants and this one did not disappoint it was nice and spicy just how I like it.
I tried the spring rolls as well which were super fresh, but filled with crab instead of shrimp like I’m use to, but very fresh and tasty overall.
I’m looking forward to taking my family here for some good Chinese food in a cool environment. I should mention the service was very friendly as well. Nice spot in Cary I’ll be back for sure.

The Goji noodle soup is a winner. Shitake mushrooms, rice noodles, tomatoes, chicken and goji berries in a hot sour base. It’s refreshing. If you don’t like cilantro, though, ask if they can skip that part of the garnish, or you may have to skip this soup. And that would be a shame. I’m looking forward to the leftovers.
The crab and cream cheese crisps (fried wontons), another specialty, are more cream cheese than crab (but I’m not complaining), and are served with a homemade plum sauce. The sauce is okay, but the wontons are good enough to stand on their own.
The pineapple fried rice is almost a misnomer — yes, there’s pineapple, but there’s also raisins, shrimp, and cashews. It was a good combination, but I didn’t get the yellow curry sauce flavor listed as one of the ingredients. This was my least favorite dish — not that it was bad, just kind of ordinary — maybe it didn’t stand out because I really wanted to get back to the soup.
The menu has a small section of gluten free options and quite a few vegetarian choices. There’s a limited amount of domestic and imported beers, red and white wines, but several different kinds of sake. There’s even an organic merlot. The specialty drinks like the lychee mojito and goji or green tea martinis might be worth trying on another visit.
The décor is understated. A red curtained wall on one side, balances the neutral colors of the opposite wall, tables, and chairs. I think some of the overhead lights are murano glass, but I wasn’t close enough to tell.
Goji is still working things out so I’m rounding up to four stars.
