Even though Better U open up its doors on march 2013, Patrizio Merlo, his owner, has been teaching fitness classes since 2006 in Central Florida. Native from Argentina, He has a vast background in the art of movement and fitness. Once Zumba fitness came across his path it was a match made in DANCE heaven. Patrizio’s classes popularity quickly grew not only in Central FL but around the world as He traveled doing masterclasses and workshops, also got to present for Zumba Fitness in their annual worldwide convention for instructors only.

In Orlando Patrizio had inspired and mentor several instructors throughout the years that had moved on and open their own studios and classes.

Patrizio has been dancing since conception, attending various institutes in his native Argentina. Always had an incline for the performing arts achieving many recognitions at a short age. In his teens along soccer, swimming and dancing (tango, jazz, lyrical, folklore) started incursioning on the fitness world getting certified in Steps and aerobics.

When He moved to USA within the first year he gained a massive 120 lbs between stress and adjusting to a new lifestyle. Once focused again 3 years later he commence to gain his health back and now he uses that knowledge to help everyone He can.
