C Salon

I was in the need for a new stylist and was SO scared to see someone new and start over. My hair is very unique, it’s curly, fine, grows funky, some spots wouldn’t even grow at all and it’s hard to manage. Not everyone can work with it. I actually found a Groupon and thought OK I’ll try it. I saw Lisa V and right from the minute I sat down with her I knew I’d found «the one»! She listened to my needs and used color products that were better for my hair. That was going on 2 years ago. Not only has my hair actually grown, it’s in the best condition ever! I continue to love Lisa even more. She’s always searching for better products for my hair and seriously is one of the sweetest persons I’ve ever met!

I got a new hair color to start off 2016 and once again the owner, Catherine did an AMAZING JOB! I change my length, style n color often and I always love the look an get so many compliments! I have been going to her for several years. I have also had hair extensions by her with real great quality hair. Everything she does turns out terrific! I am so LUCKY to have a talented stylist!

Lisa is amazing!!! I have been to C salon twice now and both times have walked out feeling like a million bucks! Both times I received a haircut and highlights and let me tell you what, I have never felt so beautiful then when I left from the salon. Lisa is so nice and takes the time to get to know you which is something I really like. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else and look forward to my next touch up

My girlfriend’s hair looked great! She was happy and I was treated nicely while I was waiting for her to get her hair done. Salon looks like Beverly Hills salon and it’s in Santa Clarita. Thank you Cathrine.

I literally drove home in tears… I asked for an A-​line textured cut… and I left with .I don’t know what to call this… I don’t know whether it’s because my hair was really coarse but I came home and my best friend came over and gasped, it is the worst hair cut of my life, the two sides don’t even match… and there is nothing I can do because it’s too short to fix. I wanted to do this before the holidays and now I don’t even want to go to work tomorrow… the lady was nice but two hours later and I just didn’t even know what to say to her, I paid and left. SO DISAPPOINTED

This was my first time here. I am a Unilocaler, so I found this place on Unilocal based on the rating. The rating is very well deserved. Being a guy, my haircut need went from «sometime in the next couple weeks» to «I need it know». They were able to get me in on two hours notice without being all like «what you want it today?!?»
I found the place to have a nice appeal — some swanky features inside, but it is next to a feed store, so it is not intimidating.
Monica came in early for me and she did a great job! I don’t pay a lot of attention to the technique but I know it came out great! She washed my hair before and after, she never used buzzers, and she trimmed my eyebrows. It was not a quick job, but time went fast because she was pleasant.
I was very surprised when the charge was only $ 25. I think I found where I will be getting my haircuts

I just moved to the area a few months ago, and this is the third haircut I have got, and they get better every time! I was elated with the first one, so you can imagine how I feel now! I can’t imagine going to anywhere else aver again I love the place! I adore how it feels like home, warm and welcoming. Catherine is an artist, and she understands shape, texture and color with a natural ease that’s always thrilling to be a part of. My hair rocks and I have the C salon to thank!

It took me a week to decide to write this because I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings– and it took me a week to make sure I could write this without being really bitter. My daughters and I came here last week– with pictures. I had been here before (1 daughter had as well) and we both had great experiences. This time, the daughter who had been here before had the same stylist while other daughter and I shared a different one.
Let me break it down so it’s not long winded.
— the daughter who shared my stylist: result was a bob (not really what was in the picture). When I asked the stylist how to get it to look like the picture, she told me use a flat iron and styling putty. For an 11yr old. Okay. Or, you could have put in the layers like they picture had.
— the daughter with the same stylist: hair cut not like the picture. In fact, looked like she just got a trim.
–me: saddest story of all. My hair is naturally curly (somewhere between wave and curl), so I have to be careful. Described my hair– in detail right down to the frizz. Multiple requests for layers (even added hand gestures) and shoulder length and above all– no mom helmet (imagine the Rachel but less layers). Repeat requests. Result– mom helmet. Told her that was NOT what I wanted. Response– «I just did that to see the frizz you were talking about». Uh… Stylist goes back to it and proceeds to cut hair short. Result– bob that is to the base of my skull in back and just below jawline in front. And still no layers. Her words of wisdom imparted to me «All cuts are bobs and the curls are done by a curling iron». No, no they’re not.
They are all very nice here, which was why it was hard to write this, but every time I look in the mirror, I can’t help but be unhappy. I was originally going to give this 2 stars, but I DID have a good cut before.
Best thing I can say is at least I didn’t get a crew cut. But we will not be going back. Ever. Which is how long it will take for my hair to grow out. :(

This a late review. I went to C Salon sometime mid June. The salon is very clean and welcoming and the stylists I have met were nice and made me feel comfortable. Catherine did an awesome job with my hair. She was very patient with me and listened to everything I wanted and didn’t want. I have very thick Asian hair and I basically wanted a cut just below my shoulders with long layers and a light brown balayage/​ombré (sorry I cant really describe the color). After 3 — 4 hours I was so happy with my hair!!! I totally love it.
I even told Catherine the situation with my sister and her hair. My sister used color and bleach her hair herself. First she went from her natural hair (very thick dark brown Asian hair) to bright red. Then she tried to go blonde and stripped the color which became a very brassy orange — totally fried hair. Catherine told me to give her number to my sister and have her text a picture of my sister hair. My sister made a consultation appointment with Catherine and they discussed what they can do to save her hair but still give the color she wanted. I guess Catherine had enough time that day and turned the consultation into an actual color appointment. My sister’s hair went from a disgusting brassy orange to very cute blonde with a mix of low and highlights — totally soft to touch. Everyone is in love with it.
Compared to other salons for process and time Catherine gave my sister and I, the prices are affordable. (I paid about $ 120 including tip and my sister paid roughly $ 200 including tip)
Catherine is amazing!!! And my sister and I totally recommend anyone to come to C Salon.

I just LOVE C Salon. I have been going to Catherine for a few years. She is GREAT with color and does great cuts on curly hair — as mine is. The salon is always busy but it is not hard to get an appointment when I am available. The prices are reasonable for a salon of this caliber. They do nails, hair, facials and waxing. I would recommend it.

I have been looking for a local salon and it seems like my quest will continue. I don’t consider my hair style/​color to be complicated. I told my hair stylist what I was looking for and what I wanted. She seemed up for the task.
The stylist was nice and tried her best to make small talk. But would not stop talking about adding colors, like pink, purple or blue… Then when I squashed those ideas, she brought up doing an ombré, repeatedly.
As for the results of my hair color, there are some areas that look like it has grown out for a few weeks, like she missed it completely. Then there are other areas where it was not blended at all, and there is an obvious line of my natural hair color between the previous color and this color. Lastly the color is ok as long as my hair doesn’t part a certain way, otherwise it is orangish. She must seen this when she was drying my hair.
Price was decent, but I wished I had looked closer at my hair before I had left.

I have been using Catherine for my hair for three years. She takes her time and is very good with naturally curly hair. Her color techniques are amazing too. The salon is quiet and it is not hard to get an appointment when I need to go. They are great with men and kids too.

Love this place from now on. Seika did an excellent

I tried this salon because of reviews on Unilocal!I made a «same-​day» appointment & MELINDA did a beautiful job highlighting & trimming my hair. The blow dry styling is the best I’ve had! I will be coming back every time.

My Mom has been going to C for years. I come whenever I’m in town.
I have curly hair which I hate having cut but Cathrine always does a considerate and professional job. She’s definitely someone I trust with my difficult hair :-)
It seems that all the other women in the salon have a great mentor.

If you haven’t been to see Lisa, you really need to come here & see how good she is!!! Lisa Masalonis is my new stylist, she is new to working in this area so she isn’t that booked up yet but she is awesome & 100% Vidal Sassoon trained so you know she was trained by the best!
She colored my hair added slices of light blondes & coppers & added a rich yummy chocolate at my base then gave me a fantastic shampoo & scalp massage before cutting my hair into a cut even my boyfriend liked!
Now, it really is finally a joy to get my hair done here in Santa Clarita. Give Lisa a try & you will be pleasantly surprised how much you like your hair.

Every single time I am there I naturally feel rejuvenated and relaxed knowing that I am getting superlative service by talented and proficient top-​rate professionals. Catherine has always made my experience there so special, and I am just in love with her new delightful hidden gem.
I have been a client of Seika’s for almost five years now, and there is nobody else whom I trust more to manage my crazy curly hair. I have her to thank for making me look drop dead gorgeous on my wedding day! She always listens to exactly what I want, and she has faithfully delivered impeccable service to me for years. She is a meticulous and accomplished stylist with a polished technique, and I couldn’t recommend anyone more as a trusted hair stylist, colorist, and overall artist. You’ve got to sit down with Seika!
It’s downright wrong to keep such excellent services a secret. Men, women, and children alike all should go at least once to this appealing salon if you ever are in the area or have an opportunity to treat yourself. Their services are so fantastic that I know you’ll be back for more. This salon is right off the highway, and there is always plenty of convenient parking. Even though I live all the way in Hollywood, I don’t mind making the 25 mile drive knowing I’m always getting the best hair care services at C Salon!

Catherine has been my stylist for 4 years now, since I moved back to Santa Clarita. I have thick hair, and am so grateful to have a stylist who cuts it so it falls the way I like. She always takes the time to discuss what type of cut I want at the beginning of the appointment. And she’s great with color, getting me the blonde I used to have naturally (but I’ve only come to appreciate it now!). Catherine’s knowledge of products is extensive, and she’s given me advice on products that work well with my hair type (especially in the dry heat of summer).
Her new salon is beautiful and welcoming – from the stained concrete floors to the bubble lights. I highly recommend C Salon and Catherine for color and cuts!
