Founded in 1996 by Kelly Shapiro in Santa Barbara, California. We have since transitioned to San Diego, CA and then finally settled in the Denver, CO Metro area.

I have been working as a bookkeeper since I was a junior in high school. I began with paper ledgers and received my on the job training as I finished up my high school career. Since then I received my formal training in Santa Barbara and San Diego and continue to take classes & attend seminars to advance my knowledge and understanding of current bookkeeping practices, software updates and tax implications. I have owned and operated Shapiro Bookkeeping and Accounting Services since June of 1996. I have had the privilege of spending most of my career with long term ongoing full charge clients in each of our locations as well as those who are looking for their books to just be brought up to do date for taxes, audits and business sales.
