the only reason why I gave it one star is because of MAMITA work. I always go to Sarah.
the last 2 time Sarah wasn’t available so I had the other girl «mamita’» do it and they were uneven. I only go to sarah.

My first experience was perfect with Mamita. Unfortunately she had a customer n decided to go with Sarah. Word of advice DO NOT LET HER TOUCH YOUR BROWS. Sarah got scissor happy n now have to fill in my eyebrows because one side is trimmed so low. Save your brow ladies n stick with MAMITA. She is precise and delivers you with eyebrows you asked for. You would think the owner would be a lil better then employees. Highly disappointed
Must I add the card they have us in the system on how many times we been there yet when we loose our card they start us from square 1 ridiculous

I’m not one to write a review when I dislike something but in this case it has to be done. I’ve been here a multiple of 4 times. Twice with Sara & twice with Mamita. The first time Sara did such an amazing job that I decided to go to her again, and what do I get? Bad thin brows. I decide to give Mamita a chance, which were done so nice, just like I wanted them. I went in this morning, when she was done I got up and my eyebrows were so thin and she shape them… which I never asked for her to do so. My eyebrows just needed to be cleaned up. Such a disappointment! Never again, plus they’re prices always seem to increase every time I go in.

I absolutely love getting my eyebrows threaded here by Sara. She does my hairline and my brows. She does them really good !. Its clean and their prices are very reasonable! Go see them

Sarah– the owner reached out to me and apologized for my experience. As soon as I grow my eyebrows out enough, I will be returning to this establishment and going to Sarah from now on. I appreciate her reaching out to me :)

Sara (I think that’s her name, the owner) does my brows so well! I’ve gone to different places but nothing beats this place!
She does it really fast and really well. My eyebrows are hard to shape but if there’s one person who can do it, she’s the one! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

I don’t have much hair in my eyebrows. It was unshaped, but visiting this place few times for my eyebrows it looks much better now (thick and shaped). Sara and Mamita these girls are wonderful …

Sarah! Sarah! Sarah! She does an amazing job with my eyebrows! Tell her exactly what you want and she will deliver! She does a great job at shaping and leaving them full!!! The service is great. I come all the way from Antioch to Castro Valley because Sarah is so go! I would definitely recommend coming here to anyone! I have had nothing but great service!!! This is the only place i will go to get my eyebrows threaded! Hands down by far the best!

My go to. The ladies are nice and they have everything there for clean up (witch hazel, aloe etc) I just wish they’d give you the little eye brow massage!

This is my first review ever. I absolutely love MAMITA to death. I am very happy with my experience here. She is friendly, quick and did a great job! I am so happy to finally find a place that I trust to do a excellent job on my eyebrows :). I highly recommend this place…

So my first time there was awful, because they had misshaped my eyebrows, one was thinner then the other and it was noticeable, I even told them to keep it thick. Anyways, I continued in hopes things would improve with them, because I did liked the shape they had gave my eyebrows. Now, I realized if I tell them exactly what I want they will succeed at providing exceptional eyebrows.

How this place has such great reviews is BEYOND me! I was in such a hurry I skipped my usual person and decided to go here after the bank. First bad decision! The second bad decision happened when I sat in that chair. She did it super fast and I ran out and jumped in my car without even seeing what the damage was. Did I say what my third bad decision was? Paying AND tipping for this awful, hacked, uneven job!
After reading reviews it looks like two different people work here and one has all the great reviews and the other (guess who I got) doesn’t have the best reviews! Oh well… moving on!
All I want for Christmas is my brows back!

Love my brows… Super clean and friendly ladies… always a pleasure to come here never make my brows thin… It’s been a year and I will continue coming… I highly recommend any of the ladies here.

Some background: I went to Threads Beauty Bar & Spa around 5 years ago and have not been back. They were the ones initially who made my eyebrows uneven. Yes, I do understand that it is next to impossible to have «even» eyebrows. I left Threads having one eyebrow longer than the other (my left side is longer) and having uneven arches. I have since been trying to grow them out trying various other threading lounges and finally succeeded to even them out. I have also been threading my eyebrows for the last 7 years and I will not be returning to this place (as well as Threads in Dublin).
Today, I asked the lady working (I didn’t even catch her name) to leave the hair closest to my eyebrow and just to clean up around my brow. Instead, she threads all the excess hair around my eyebrows (and some) leaving none of the hair I grew out. She also made my left brow much skinnier. She was the only one working that night… And with nobody in line behind me I expected her to take her time and listen to what I wanted. Instead I was in and out within 10 minutes.
I have been here before and when I initially came in they said they would work with me to even my eyebrow shape and that it was a process. I trusted them and now I have a chubby eyebrow and a skinny eyebrow.
I’m pissed and back to square one. DO NOT GO HERE!

I called last minute to have my eyebrows reshaped after getting them waxed a couple of days ago. Real friendly and professional. The lady that reshaped my brows had me look several times. They’re close, cost effective, and professional. Busy but worth it.

I’m so upset about my eyebrows. I went in yesterday ⁹⁄₄ mid afternoon to get my eyebrows done and I seen there was a new lady working alone. I really needed my eyebrows done so I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and give her a chance. I believe her name was Midra. I don’t remember.
I SPECIFICALLY told her. I don’t want any sort of shape, I just want a clean up. She obviously did not listen. When she was done she let me see my eyebrows and I usually just look really fast and leave. Once I got in the car I noticed she had chopped half of my right eyebrow off. The corner of my outer eyebrow was literally gone! I don’t know about anyone else but that part of my brow takes forever to grow back or just won’t grow back at all. I really wish i could give this place ZERO stars because of my half chopped eyebrow.
I will not be going back. I’ll stick to my normal eyebrow place and pay a little more, for care and go to people that listen to what the customer requests. So if you want the half an eyebrow look. Come here.

Great addition to Castro Valley. Ten years ago, I remember Threads Beauty Bar in Dublin being the only threading place around and it was operating out of a hotel room. I’m glad more threading shops are opening up.
Price is decent at $ 10 for eyebrows. I typically don’t see it cost less than $ 12 at more seasoned shops. I hope the prices don’t go up.
Saturday at around noon wasn’t busy. There were 2 workers already working on people but I only had to wait a couple minutes.
My eyebrows turned out very clean but a little thinner than I’d like (make sure you tell them at the beginning). The thread only broke once and the process was fast and clean. You wipe up your own stray hairs. They do offer lotion/​aloe afterwards but it doesn’t come with a massage like at other places.
Also, a stamp card is such a big plus! That makes me want to come back.

I’m so glad that I found my go to place for threading. I work in the area and have been getting threaded by Glamour for the past three months. All the ladies are experts threaders and truly passionate about what they do. They always consult with me about what I want to achieve while also educating me about the strategy for allowing certain areas to grow in. The process is painless and quick with ZERO irritation. What I love about threading is the fact that I can achieve clean lines while preserving a very natural look.

I have been going to Mamita for about 6 months now and I won’t go anywhere else to get my eyebrow and upper lip threaded! I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for 5 years and Mamita is the best at her craft. She creates a wonderful arc to my brows and she trims my eyebrow hairs so that the finished look is clean.
Five stars for Mamita!

Wow!!! Literally the best threading place I’ve ever been to!!! Mamita is so friendly and she remembers people!!!
I have to tell the Unilocal population, I group with about half of the Asian population who has either none or very thin eyebrow hair… Mamita shapes them well to your face and if you keep coming back… THEY. WILL. GROW. THICKER!
