Sutter Urgent Care

If I could rate zero stars, I would. I was greeted on my initial appointment and on my follow up appointment by a surly woman named Gale. She was good at barking orders and refusing insurance (saw this happen with three others who came in). I get that the refusing insurance isn’t her choice, but the choice to accept insurance plans is the choice of the organization. Gale does not appear to see herself in a customer service role, but my husband was able to get her to smile. Once we were in a room I had to ask Vanessa three times to give me ice to stop my swelling because she was so committed to typing on the computer (while I was bleeding). Once I got seen by a doctor (I had to get some stitches), the doctor was FANTASTIC. Dr Andrea Williams. She is a sub doctor and not a regular so I have not boosted my star rating and I will definitely try and review her positively elsewhere. She is/​was a rose among thorns and the lack of support from the office staff to help Andrea find the supplies she needed was ABSOLUTELY APPALLING. If you have a choice, go elsewhere is my advice.

i went in for something minor. (back pain.) the nurses and receptionist were very kind and warm. the doctor, however, was less so.
i’m not sure if she just wanted to go home (i came in about a half hour before closing) or if she just… didn’t like me? but when i told her my symptoms, she shrugged it off, saying i had probably pulled a muscle.
i told her about some other conditions i had that i thought could be related and she laughed at me.
let me be clear here. i told a doctor that i had always had stomach issues and nausea, and that those issues led to my developing an eating disorder. she chuckled and flashed a smile.
the whole time i talked to her, she was smiling into the distance. the second i said my back hurt, she stopped listening.
maybe her diagnosis was right. i’m not saying she should have given me an MRI. it is not okay, however, that a medical professional laughed at me, a scared, hurting patient, and made me feel like an idiot for being in pain.
i don’t think i’ll be back, mostly because i will probably leave feeling insulted as well as in pain.

I use to be a Kaiser patient and having a private insurance I thought the service would be more efficient and they will find the root of the problem. I was dizzy and having chest pains and went to Urgent Care since my insurance advised that it’s best to go to Urgent Care before emergency. The lady at the urgent care was very unsympathetic and right away told me they were busy and I should just go straight to Emergency. I asked if I could get taken in a wheelchair she said no I had to walk since it’s close by. Felt I was entering the twilight zone. At the emergency the only ones that I believe that are professional after the nurse who take my intake information the ones who rendered the services were professional. I was discharged and ask to find a physician for a follow up. I did and up to this day the pain on my lower right has not been checked by either a sonogram. I called to ask some assistance regarding this problem about my lower right pain on my abdomen and what do you know their system is down and can’t take any appointments and was referred to go to the emergency. If you have insurance the copay for emergency is thousands of dollars which is ok if the problem was diagnosed but if they can’t find the problem you are like gambling money for nothing. The hospital and the area is clean and we’ll kept. But despite of the façade unless there are brilliant doctors who knows and will do everything they can to find the problem. I requested a sonogram for my pain and I have not heard anything. I asked the customer service to have my doctor call me she hasn’t. I now realize that there are some sickness or ailments could have been cured or prevented if it was acted upon. I wouldn’t be surprised if I get diagnosed with cancer because I didn’t get the proper care and test needed for my pain.

A few weeks after I wrote my initial review, I was contacted by Sutter. They take complaints very seriously, and inquired for more detail about my experience so that they could look into it and fix any problems. They did not ask me to change my review. Their main objective appears to be to get to the root of any problems and improve their service. Kudos!

As luck would have it, my family had made two trips to urgent care in the past week (for different reasons, obviously). Both times we were quickly diagnosed and sent home to get healthy.
The staff is hilarious and they really make an effort to put your mind at ease. The doctor on call was great, we saw him both visits.

missed diagnosed the two times I used your urgent care facility.
seen two different physicians, wasted my time and money! prescribed medication twice for a condition I did not have!
for my medical care I will go somewhere safer for medical and i will trust!
