Gordon’s Transmissions & Service

So far, so good. My Mom is happy with her car’s performance after a rebuilt transmission and motor mounts. Seemed like good, honest folks. Was an expensive repair, but price seemed fair for the amount of work. Delivery when promised. Polite, friendly and professional.

Went to Gordon’s to get an opinion on what I believed to be a transmission problem with my Jeep.
They were extremely honest and trustworthy. Their shop is very clean and organized. Service was great. Husband and wife company that shows pride of ownership.

Just picked up my Jeep. So far a great job. Average price for transmission work, after asking for discounts was able to get some. Unable to know if he did more than what had to be done however I do know that there was a lot to do since it has 235,500 miles on it. Great guy to work with.

Wow, is all I can say. They were terrific and extremely ‘stand-​up’ in character and work performed. I had my clutch master and slave cylinders replaced by them. Everything worked perfectly, but then my Cruise control stopped working, as well as a service engine soon light came on. I stopped back in, they determined the cruise control switch, which had nothing to do with my clutch had gone bad. This was also the cause for the «service engine» light. They replaced it at absolutely NO, Zippo, cost to me — I’ve never in my life had something like that happen. I’d like to know if any other individuals have EVER had a shop cover a non-​related expense? I was absolutely floored, and would go out of my way to recommend this shop!!!

Aldofo was extremely nice and polite I have now found my guy for transmissions he is not the cheapest in town but he is definitely worth the extra $ 200. My transmission was done sooner than expected. I have fallen in love with my trucks all over again. Thank you again Adolfo

I took my ’93 Roadtrek to Gordon’s by tow truck. He called me later that day and showed me that the transmission fluid was black and full of metal pieces. He said that he would check it out. A few hours later he called and told me that the transmission would need to be rebuilt. I was distressed at the cost, and asked for some time to think about it. He called me back and offered a discount if I was willing to wait for his other jobs to take priority. Two days later my transmission was rebuilt. My neighbor was incredulous, having worked on his own cars for decades, he asked if he could see underneath the car. After examining it, he said there was no way that the transmission could have been dropped to do a «Bench Rebuild». I went back to his shop full of fire and indignation. He was calm as could be. He said ask your friend to take off the inspection plate and see if a critical part to a rebuild had been replaced. My friend put it up on blocks this morning, and told me that indeed my transmission was rebuilt. I feel terrible for accusing the owner, who took such great care of me of taking advantage of me. Adolfo was as calm as can be and very confident that he would be vindicated, which he was. Today, my first stop will be to Gordon’s transmissions to thank him, and to apologize profusely. If you want an honest repair, go to Adolfo. And if you’re not sure, get a second opinion, and then go back to Gordon’s to have the job done.

I blew my transmission on my way back to Phoenix from la and these guys were the only shop in town that would even see me the same day. Adolfo was great, totally knew his stuff, and was able to rebuild my trans in less than 48 hours and get me back on the road. Clean shop, friendly people, a little pricey but it was worth it. My car feels like new now.

The folks here are wonderful. Gary’s level of customer service exceeded that of what I expected. As far as the mechanical work is concerned there were some issues with my car however, it’s not your everyday run of the mill American or Japanese car. So it took them longer than expected to finish repairs however, it got fixed. I don’t know that I would go back here with the particular vehicle in question however, I would bring any major American or Japanese car here and feel comfortable.
