Very nice staff. Usually have some nice things that you have to hunt for. Its a Thrift Store, I’m not a Thrift Store addict like some people I know, but they do have some nice stuff now and then. Worth stopping by and saying hi and seeing what they have.

I buy WAY to much stuff here. New finds every time i walk into the store. Clean, organized and great prices. Check it out you won’t regret it.

I almost passed on this store due to the low Unilocal reviews and that would have been a mistake. This place has a great selection of clothes. It also has a very cool retro furniture section. Most of it is new, but affordable and fun. This a great shop you shouldn’t miss. In response, to another Unilocaler’s post– if you worked at a thirft store, who wouldn’t pick the best treasures out first. It would be the best reason to work at a thrift store.

First off, let me say I am a big fan and supporter of Revivals and have bought a fair amount of stuff there over the past 8 years. My only complaint, and this review refers only to the Cathedral City store and the book department, is that they upprice books way beyond their value and way out of line with the other 2 Revivals stores. Sometimes, their prices on books are laughable and, on a fair number of books, I could buy them cheaper on Amazon even paying the $ 3.99 postage charge. Finally, and I do buy books to sell, they put 3 (or more) stickers on many books which is just a hassle for resellers (of whom they have quite a few).

I was very unhappy to find out the staff that work at revivals get the pick through your stuff first. And take home what they want. I will never donate anything to revivals again..

The only thing that appealed to me at this place are the furniture. Great quality for a decent price, given it’s still pricey. Nothing else was exciting to look at though, the clothes are not my style but I can see why this place isn’t for people in their 20s-​30s. I’d like to check out other consignment stores in the future. This one was understaffed and slightly unorganized

Ok place. Very clean. Clothes and furniture are in abundance. A bunch of new items. I was hoping for more antique estate and yard-​sale items. It was fun browsing through the suit jackets and dress pants. Will stop by again next trip yo Palm Desert.

Quick Notes: What can I say, I wouldn’t go to another bike shop for anything. After being a loyal customer for years, they have all become apart of my extended family.

Over the past 4 years this has been one of my favorite thrift stores in the valley. Bought snowshoes, paintings, books, records, clothes and shoes here. Unfortunately they undertook a very misguided renovation of the store. I’m not sure what was wrong with the original store but now there’s no stock, no hidden gems and it feels like a Big Lots store. A shame.

I heard Revivals opened after remodel. I was disappointed as most inventory was new items. Part of the fun I have is finding interesting used items. If I want new things I would go elsewhere myself. And you only get a 10% senior discount on donated used items, not new merchandise.

Just went and saw a sign that said this is closed for renovations through September. Bummer. Lucky there’s two more in area to peruse though.

CLOSED FOREVER! No longer there look elsewhere for used junk. I’m sad to see this place go now I have to commute to other places to find cool stuff.

i found a 1961 edition of Gastronomique Larousse hardback WITH papercover for only $ 8. fantastic! it is a good thing we didnt bring the truck on our weekend getaway or i would have gone home with a sofa and 2 giant floor rugs. We didnt have time to look through the clothes but the housewares and furniture were priced great. The staff of volunteers is awesome. We plan on returning to get some furniture

So, what is Revivals???
Is it a Thrift store, a Consignment store or a Retail store?
Revivals prices have always been higher than other thrift stores over the years, but the thought was that it was for a good cause, but honestly, they are all good causes.
So now what we seem to have is a retail store masquerading as a thrift store. They are selling less than 2^nd rate items with an amazing mark up rate. Not only that, they are branching out with more stores.
What is going on here? Is this still for charity? Who is minding the money? Who is getting the bargain here? Did you over expand & not have enough donations??? How much of this goes to charity or DOES it go to charity anymore, cuz this is clearly one of the most successful thrift chain stores I’ve ever seen that IS NOT a thrift store. How do you continue to sell garbage and dilute what was once a highly regarded name in the valley?

As a thrift store professional shopper I am less than impressed with every aspect of this store.
So where to begin ~~
Almost too many volunteers/​associates running around, but they are not friendly nor helpful. And will run you over in a heartbeat. Their mission is not to help you but to look important with their hurried frowning stare as they breeze by you.
too many new overpriced items for a thrift store. And the quality of the «new» items SUCK! the labels are false and I am considering filing with the BBB (if I can) about the store.

I purchased a futon for $ 299 (new with tags) OBVIOUSLY DIDN’T MIND SPENDING THE PRICE, to help DAP, BUT I DID EXPECT IT TO BE WHAT THE TAGS CLAIMED IT TO BE. Within a month the seat was totally creased and falling apart. The fabric was thin and not what the tag claimed the material to be.
Unfortunately before the demise of the futon, I bought a «new with tags» area rug. The first vacuuming it ripped apart. I use a low suction vacuum due to my back, and one run across the rug and it was ruined.
Prices of «used merchandise» is unreal, such as $ 5 for a ½ used candle, come on people!
Clothing racks are over stuffed and frustrating trying to look through and no way could I put something back in once I got it out to look at.

This is one of my favorite thrifts in CA.
I furnished (almost) my entire Palm Springs condo with great consignment and donated goods from this store. $ 2500 Bernhardt sofas in perfect condition for $ 200.
LOVE IT!

On the drive back to Phoenix from So Cal, we stopped by this store to check out what they have for sale. It’s a fairly large thrift store, but not well organized. The setup is not logical. The prices are high as well. You won’t find any spectacular deals here. It’s priced more like a consignment store than a thrift store. We still had fun looking around, but we didn’t find anything we liked at the posted prices.

Another Revivals thrift store, one of the larger of three in this area, this one carries more of the «Brand New» furniture, a great selection of used books, lots of clothing, and more of the more mundane household donations. This is my least favorite of the three stores, but again, I have also found some really good deals. So I never let my guard down.
We like making a day out of Revival’s shopping and doing the touristy Palm Springs thing. You know, dining in some really great eateries and window shopping. It’s fun, and cheap, and when the weather is cooperating, a great day for a drive.

Looking to tour the Southwestern united states in a red convertible coupe, Fear and Loathing style, but don’t have the right attire to pull it off? Minus the hallucinogenic drugs and illegal firearms, chances are you’ll be able to look the part with a quick dip into Revivals.
Nothing makes my heart race with excitement like a small town thrift store, and every time I’m in Palm Springs (outside of Coachella), I make an effort to stop by and see which deceased geezer’s ex-​wardrobe I can take back home with me. I’ve been pretty fortunate to score some pretty unique wears over the years, and most have come in quite handy for ugly sweater holiday events, wacky Hawaiian shirt shindigs, and the like. I’ve also found some lifelong favorites like designer blazers, Cosby-​approved sweater vests, and items that I actually wear outside of costumed soirees on the regular. Never have I walked out sans a new find, and it’s always as cheap as the dirt that sits idly alongside Highway 111 through the main vein of Cathedral/​Rancho Mirage/​Palm Springs.
For being a thrift store virtually in the middle of nowhere, they’re pretty socially savvy as well. When you check in with your Unilocal App, they’ll knock off 50% on the already crazy cheap prices featured on the daily. World Wide Web, FTW!

Needed to get an outfit for an upcoming party, and was pleasantly surprised by the selection here. I found some tuxedo pants and a Saks 5^th Avenue tux shirt with french cuffs for the combined price of $ 32. Both items are in excellent shape. This same shirt is available new on Saks’ Web site for $ 198. I’d call that a deal.
If they could do something to make the place seem a bit less «garage-​saley,» I’d be a much bigger fan. Nevertheless, I’m thinking I might just go back when I have more time, and look through the rest of the store.
