***** GROCERY BAGS ARE FOREVER *****
I will never forget the time I stormed into Trader Joe’s to complain about my overloaded single-​paper shopping bag which had given way, and the Grade B Maple Syrup and Greek Yogurt which spilled all over my driveway… TJ’s management staff didn’t even bat an eye. They just gave me a new 25 ounce bottle of syrup and 32 ounce container of yogurt! Now, how cool was that?
Whether shopping at the Trader Joe’s in Berkeley, Cathedral City, Costa Mesa, Hollywood, or Santa Cruz (California), I have always had good experiences… TJ’s does not offer any brand-​items like, Pepsi, Tyson, Nestle, Anheuser-​Busch or Kraft, so shopping there has always felt a little bit like a travel adventure in a foreign land. Whether it was a seasonal-​ham for the holidays, four different kinds of gluten-​free cookies for the kids or a Phalaenopsis orchid to brighten up my home, I have always found myself mindful and present when selecting my groceries… And, because it is NOT the size of two football fields, I have always enjoyed Trader Joe’s humane and stress-​free environment…
I’ve done my own research and found that most of TJ’s items are competitively-​priced, according to fair-​market value, quality and quantity. This includes various key staples like, avocados, butter, eggs, ground turkey, marinara sauce, milk, orange juice, organic carrots, Pure Castile Soap, turmeric, vitamins and yogurt, etc…
The only problem I have had with Trader Joe’s was: On many occasions, I ended up buying more things than I went in there to buy. My advice is: Take a shopping list and stick to it… But, DAMN, if that didn’t always work for me!

The produce was all bruised and potatoes already sprouting. That was annoying, but I do understand it happens sometimes. The really annoying thing was the older lady with ling hair that reached right across my face without saying a simple «excuse me». I looked at the lady weird because I have neurological issues and a neck close to getting surgery. I can’t handle stimuli by my face. she proceeded to say «can I help you» not in a nice way, a fake snotty way. I said «no, I thought you needed something I guess»… she said «I did», but not with a sincere tone or an oh sorry yes I did (like normal people do after they’ve been rude, but are somewhat apologetic for it) she was just blatantly rude and condescending in her tone. Then went talking in the ear of the other gal stocking things, then laughing (apparently she’s in 7^th grade) Im on a flippin scooter, you can see I’m disabled. I can’t just move out of the way quickly for you. ask politely and I’d frickin hand it to you. If she would have slammed into my neck with her arm, she would have put me at migraine status for a few days, I have discs bulging out of my neck and metal going up my spine from my tailbone. Please teach your employees better people skills.

Love trader joes! This one is getting really crowded now since tourist/​snowbird season has started but they keep things stocked. Great selection of flowers, wine and cheese. My dog loves the canned food and jerky. Nice employees.

I love this place. The food is heathy, the staff is friendly, and the environment is amazing. All the organic food is reasonably priced compared to any other grocery store. They actually care about your health so they offer healthy food. This is how all grocery stores should be. Recommended!

Good foods and fair selection in a small store layout. The staff is fairly friendly except when I requested the courtesy of $ 50 cash from a $ 100Trader Joe plastic card, a Christmas gift from my family.
First, one cashier said no problem. When I returned a few days later to use the card and get some needed cash, a different cashier said no way – I had to use at least $ 90 to get just $ 10 back.
An officious manager backed up the second cashier, admonishing me by saying it was a state law that gift cards must be used up.
State law or not, I did not like how I was treated and summarily dismissed as if I were unreasonable about needing access to my cash. Why not allow me to pay a fee 2% or whatever to obtain access?
I will never shop at Trader Joe’s again after this experience. Food for Less on Date Palm is far bigger, greater selection, lower prices and part of Ralph’s. Their staff is friendlier and less officious, in my opinion.

I always enjoy coming here since their staff is always so friendly and their shelves are always stocked. The store does get busy during the season since all the «snow birds» come back, but still love shopping at this place!

I pretty much only shop at Trader Joe’s. They only have one brand of many items (the TJs brand) so you don’t have to feel confused trying to decide if you should spend 10 cents more on another brand. It’s nice that you don’t have to think about which brand will give you the quality product because, like all of TJs products are high quality. Ah, but I do not recommend the grapefruit at this location. Apples can be mushy too.
I like the TJs that give out sample coffees (this location does). Yes, I know it’s a sample and the general rule is that you try it once at that’s it. But it perks you up and makes you feel good about buying groceries!
The staff members there seem happier than at other grocery stores – perhaps because they give their staff holidays off. We should be supporting that. =) But, please, TJs staff, do not ask me what I am doing later tonight, that is a personal question.

I LOVE TJ’s and good to see one in the Palm Springs area. We stopped in to pick up some shampoo and I bought some candy too. Love the selections of organic shizzle.

TJ is simply amazing everywhere! we were traveling and staying close by at the marriott. What was awesome about this place was that they had kosher steak and we ended up having pretty amazing BBQ on this mini vacay!

In Cathedral City sind wir beim Erkunden der Stadt auf einen Trader Joe’s gestoßen. Seit 1979 wird die Kette im Westen der USA von der deutschen Markus Stiftung geleitet. In Deutschland kann man bei Aldi Nord einige Produkte unter dieser Bezeichnung erwerben, wie Nüsse, Knäckebrot und Trockenfrüchte.
Der Eingangsbereich des Stores wirkt unspektakulär, aber im Inneren taucht man in einen hawaiianisch gestylten Supermarkt ein. Nette Dekorationen und Schilder überall, selbst die Mitarbeiter haben Hawaiihemden an. Für mich überraschend, da ich auf einen nüchternen Aldi-​Discounter eingestellt war.
Die Produktauswahl ist zwar sehr begrenzt zu den üppig ausgestatteten amerikanischen Supermärkten, aber hier werden sehr hochwertige Produkte angeboten. Viele Artikel aus ökologischem Anbau und eine große Palette von Weinen und importierten Bieren.
Meine Tochter war sehr begeistert von der großen Auswahl an Nüssen und getrockneten Früchten. Wer nicht auf sein deutsches Bier in den USA verzichten möchte, findet hier einige ausgewählte Sorten.
Die Mitarbeiter bei Trader Joe´s waren allesamt sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Mit ihren Hawaiihemden sorgten sie für zusätzliches Urlaubsflair. Mein Lieblingsladen für kleinere Einkäufe an der Westküste.

Giovanni was the best for customer service. Great personality and really gave good service in finding our food for Thanksgiving. Kudos

Trader Joes is Trader Joes wherever you find them (except in Colorado where most can’t sell alcohol!!).
The Palm Springs location is larger than my hometown one, but still full of all the great treats, cheeses and wine selection I have come to expect and enjoy. Same helpful staff in Hawaiian shirts, same fresh veggies and breads. This location has plenty of parking, but beware! You are in a giant retirement community, so drive defensivly and assume anyone walking in front of you has no clue they are in a roadway…

Orange cranberry scones that I just bought are delicious. Bag had small hole in it when I got home, so I’m hoping it did that after they put it in my bag and not on the shelves or they weren’t tampered with in any way. Disappointed that I was pointing at a pack of british krumpets for my husband to pick up for me, since I have a neck injury and it’s painful for me to reach things at times… this extremely rude woman steps in front of my cart, grabs the last pack, and walks off with them. I couldn’t believe it. I’m sure she heard me say get these, my finger was practically on them and then as she grabbed them and turned away I said out loud, «how rude!». She didn’t care. If I accidentally did that to someone I would’ve at least acknowledged that they were there and offered to give them the last package if that is what they wanted. She just walked away. Not tjs fault she was rude, but wish they kept the shelves stocked. Even if the rude woman grabbed the pack I was trying to get, if there would’ve been more on the shelf I wouldn’t have gone home so sad, just annoyed because I can’t believe how rude some people are in this world.

Great selections. Especially on vegetarian and healthy choice options. Convenient location of of hwy 111. Plenty of parking. Quality choices. Friendly n helpful staff.

Just Excellent. I have nothing but positive things to say about trader joes. Definitely a good value. .it doesnt replace a regular supermarket, but it definitely adds to the variety of what you can eat at home… i have a family of 4 and we mix in a tradwr joes trip about once a month and it is great for snacks for my kids. just all around a good place.

i came to this trader joes with my friends while we were trying to buy food to fill up the house that we rented during the coachella weekend and it was hard because we all have different tastes but it was actually kind of nice because everyone likes their own things and we all suggested cool stuff to each other and most of it was alcohol but that’s okay and the boxed wine they sell is so good and i never thought to try it plus there is a nice bonus with the boxed wine because you can drink it in bed and you don’t even need a glass or anything you can just tilt your head back and drink straight from the box so i got white wine because that is classy
all of the people shopping and working there were not nice at all and they kept rolling their eyes and making comments because we were all wearing bright colors and screaming and being loud at 10 in the morning but it is a party weekend for us and they should expect things like that so it is not our fault for being rude it is their fault for being rude anyway if you try the blueberry goat cheese you will like it unless you don’t like goat cheese but then what are you doing at trader joes if you don’t like goat cheese you should go shop at ralph’s also everything is expensive here

I’ve been buying TJ’s pasta for twenty years. The new Baronia brand is just not going to cut it. I tried the Penne last night and it’s terrible. I hope you guys find a better vendor than this one to replace the old TJ’s brand.
Two stars only apply to TJ’s new pasta products. II’ll still shop TJ’s every week, I love the store and it gets FIVE stars otherwise. Won’t be buying the pasta however.

This might be my very favorite grocery store chain on the planet and I have been to countless TJ’s in many states, but this particular location didn’t quite measure up. It is small and I found a lot of empty shelf space and missing products. Even so, i would still take this TJ over a Ralph’s any day.

Yea! I love Trader Joes. I always seem to check out and pay way less than I think I’m going too and get some great stuff! The staff here is awesome, always willing to help and if a line gets long, back up cashiers pop up out of nowhere and check everyone out. They have great flowers also. The food sampling station always has some great food and cheese and the guy there is very cool and friendly. I think he has been there for at least 8 years I have been in Palm Springs. So yea I love Trader Joes, great food, great prices and great service! Awesome job to the whole staff!
