The outside looks a little like a strip joint. Dark windows and cheap light strings. The inside is not much better. The menu has a local steak house vibe. Everyone in our group ordered something different so I tried many items. Steaks and fries, shrimp and fries… Nothing special, nothing home made. Very local deep fried frozen food.

Eaten here twice now, both times on Thursday for the fish and chips special. It’s good, really good. Our first visit the server was spot on, the second visit the server was nice but we had to ask for multiple things that were supposed to come with our meals and my mother didn’t get an entrée at all until we reminded the server that she had ordered. The burgundy mushrooms are, in fact, delicious and while the décor may feel a bit dated it’s still very cozy and you tend to be wowed by home much space there is. We will definitely return.

I had the yellow fin tuna cooked medium rare. Grilled veggies with salad. Very surprised at the quality and taste. Wait staff was great. We had a birthday party here and had a special room just for us. Other party members were satisfied with their dinners as well. I’ll go back in a heart beat. The prices were responsible but the atmosphere kinda old and outdated. Guess that why the prices are low. Overall a great bang for your buck.

I give this place 1 star for atmosphere. 1 star for the food. 3 stars for the service. I had the hot wings. However, the wings were much too sweet for my taste. It seems their magic number is 8.99 for most dishes and an addition $ 2.99 for a side, plus beverage. This makes for an expensive lunch! My lunch companion had the chicken tender plate for $ 8.49. The chicken tender looked and tasted to be pre-frozen! Pre-frozen/breaded chicken tenders… tells you they lack passion of what comes out of their kitchen!!! I’m amazed at why this place is still open? It must be a laundry mat of some sort???

Great local food. Good steaks, burgers and ribs. Real good bar food. Back room with pool tables. Real good weekend specials and the prime rib is killer

Bland food with not a whole lot of flavor. I went on a few occasions thinking it may have been an off night but truly not a place worth going

My family use to go here for our birthdays. We use to always love the food, but as of late it has gone down hill. The waitresses are normally nice and helpful. The best thing going for them are the pool tables, although most times we go they have a party that booked the room but are not using the tables.

Great neighborhood place. Living around the corner we dine here regularly. Wings, cheesesteak, and prime rib are personal favs. The burgundy mushrooms are as good as any high end steak house. Pool room and game room so great for groups/families. Cold beers and good grub. One of Cayce’s finest.

The burgundy mushrooms are awesome but be sure to have someone to share them with or you will not be able to finish your food. The special pork chops are some of the best I have ever had and I try pork chops every where I can. I’ve eaten here a lot and haven’t had a bad meal. They have a really good hamburger steak and grilled chicken club. The atmosphere is kinda rustic mixed with a little bit of dirt(not unsanitary but old). The staff is usually very nice and professional.

Murray’s is quaint and has awesome very friendly service. Say hello to Todd behind the bar he’s really sweet. Order the burgandy mushrooms on the appetizer menu… They are totally addictive! I can say I’ve been here a few time and I’ve NEVER had a bad meal. Plus… Todd makes a really great Cosmo

Murray’s in Cayce is a definite hole-in-the-wall type of establishment, hiding in a strip mall in Cayce. Stepping in almost feels like taking a step-back to yesteryear, as the décor is very much a blast from the past(this is not a dig… it adds to the charm). This was my first meal at Murray’s(meeting a friend for lunch), and all-in-all, I’d have to say that it wasn’t bad. I got the burger basket, and the burger was fairly large and tasted good. The highlight of the meal had to be the raw fries(wing chips to others), which I ordered«in the middle»(not floppy or crunchy). They were cooked just as I asked and were great with the provided malt vinegar. Service was fast and friendly. The only real downside I could find was that there’s no draft beer, which I find peculiar for any establishment that calls itself a bar, but with bottled beer and liquor available, that’s hardly a deal-breaker. I enjoyed it. I probably wouldn’t make the trek to Cayce just to eat there, but if I were meeting a friend or passing through, I’d go again.

I found this place by accident, actually. I travelled too far out Charleston Highway and was looking for a place to turn around, when I pulled into a shopping center and spotted Murray’s. I decided to go ahead and eat, even though the place looked like a potential dive from the outside. When I walked in, though, it looked like a neat old pub-type diner. I started to wonder if it was a franchise when I saw the menu and how fancy the pictures and scripting was, but the waitress assured me it was a local(and all the waitresses were wearing t-shirts that boasted business since 1992; probably not something a franchise would be concerned about publicising). I got a burger basket with fries and upgraded my slaw to a side salad. My cooking preference was asked, though it was a little overdone. The patty was a little small, too, and had a lot of bun overlap. The fries were decent, like Rush’s. If I were in the mood for a burger basket, though, I’d probably go there instead. The rest of the food might be really great, though. When I arrived there was only 1 other table with 3 ladies sitting at it, but when I was finishing up around noon and heading out they were getting swamped. The parking lot had filled up. They had a menu for daily specials and I kind of wish I had tried their ‘famous’ all-white fried chicken platter that is listed for M-F(there were additional daily specials for M-Thu). I asked the waitress her preference between it and the burger basket and she said the burger(because she doesn’t like fried chicken), so that’s what I went with. Tea was pretty decent and I was offered a ‘to go’ cup without even having to ask. Was $ 15 with the tip
