Description

Specialties

Ours is a small family bakery in the coastal redwoods of Sonoma County. We bake everything from organic blueberry muffins to rustic baguettes and organic multi-grain sourdoughs. Don’t forget our wonderful pizzas, sandwiches and focaccias!

We also love entertaining guest at our small bed and breakfast with the four cottages behind the bakery. They range from a small one room studio to a two bedroom cabin with full kitchen and back deck. In the common area there is the creek, gardens, BBQs and a fire pit for making s’mores and telling stories over a few drinks.

In 2002, we discovered a shut down restaurant, four cottages, a creek and lots of wild blackberries and redwoods on three acres in one of the most beautiful areas we had ever seen. We sold what little we had and begged and borrowed to be able to chase our dream.

We hope that you will visit us and enjoy our dream as well.

Wishing you good food, good health and good friends,

— Mark & Elizabeth

History

Established in 2002.

My first memory is baking bread with my mother. Since then, baking and feeding people has been one of my greatest passions.

In 2002, my then fiancé and I discovered a shut down restaurant, four cottages, a creek, lots of wild blackberries and 1,000 year old redwoods on three acres in one of the most beautiful areas we had ever seen. The property also has history going back to 1897 when it was the second to last stop on the Northwest Pacific Railway.

Slowly, as time and money has allowed, we have transformed an overgrown and neglected property into a beautiful relaxing retreat where we can share our passion for food with our guests.

Throughout, we have focused on good choices for the environment. We were the first bakery to become a certified green business by EcoGreen. Over 95% of our lighting is florescent or LED, we compost everything possible on site, use drip or micro-sprinkler systems for most watering and donate all extra food to those in need.
