Take yourself on as a project. See if you can build a life made up of more of what matters. How? Use the system of yoga — and get way more out of it than just the exercise of yoga. ;)
I provide everything you need, in the best format for learning each component. Stuff like physical yoga classes (soon online as well), Real-time Q+A Workshops, and your own «experimenter access» to online content like guided meditation, the latest studies to motivate you, and recommended reading.
Projects start on the odd months and run 2 months, meeting 12 – 16 times. Projects include Intention Setting, Willpower Training, Paced Practice, and Amped Practice — all compelling you toward what matters.
Nature Force, an adventure triathlon training program designed to empower women, starts in early June. Training in kayak, mountain bike, and trail run, plus yoga.
The Synergy of Yoga and Writing workshops are periodically offered for writers looking to find ease in the process of calling up their voice.
History
Established in 2009.
Field of Yoga is the Cedar Valley’s original yoga studio. When Mary McInnis Meyer opened it as the sole teacher in August, 2009, it provided an opportunity for people seeking more than yoga-fitness experiences restricted to muscle-only benefits. Field of Yoga lit up for this community of progressive thinkers the vast system that yoga is. The message: really knowing how the system works when applied in its whole context is what can deliver the kind of great personal changes yoga is capable of.
Field of Yoga began to add teachers and styles in mid 2010. Now, the studio has a dozen teachers and stays true to yoga that works.
Mary McInnis Meyer continues to grow her successful private session practice, with a reputation for change-making, even when clients have «tried everything.»
Field of Yoga brought its first international yoga presenter to the area in 2010, and continues to bring experts in the field.
In 2013, the studio added a highly effective science-based kids program.
