I went there this past weekend and the new cabins are fantastic. The problems are with everything else. 1. When we arrived we had to wait about 30 minutes to drive to the cabin because the road is narrow and they don’t allow many cars at the cabins. After you unload, which takes many people forever, you par your car in another lot. 2. The activities were very short and not planned well. The indoor rock wall was traverse only and they didn’t hook anyone up to the rope so the kids could not climb. Archer was 30 minutes for 25 kids at 6 stations where the first 15 minutes was instruction. Now I’m all for instruction, especially when it comes to safety, but each little one had one turn to shoot 3 arrows. Lots of sad faces. The animal show was ok, and the night hike was nice. 3. The food was pretty bad and yes I do expect better. After experiencing camp food at CIMI and PALI institutes I would rate this one the worst. The quality was like bad camp food, but they did have hot chocolate. No ice as well was a little disappointing. 4. Staff member were hit and miss. Some were really abrupt, short with patience, and pretty rude, while others were pretty nice. I asked one person about wifi and he just told me no and walked away — very strange. I left a survey, and who know what they do with them, but this place could be really amazing with some change in procedure, attitudes, schedules and food. Sounds like a lot to change, but I have been to much better.
