Comfort meets classy & nutritious meets delicious at Cedar Mountain Café. At Cedar Mountain Café we love breakfast, but hate how breakfast foods are notoriously laden with low quality meats and questionable additives. That’s why we focus on serving hormone, antibiotic, nitrate and preservative free meats that are sustainably raised — and as local as possible.

We accompany farm fresh meats with seasonal vegetables, house-​made dressings, sodas, sauces and soups made using nutritious, natural, simple ingredients. We serve real food made from ingredients you don’t need a dictionary to pronounce. Our made from scratch biscuits and gravy are a must have and keep regulars coming back for more.

Cedar Mountain Café serves breakfast and lunch seven days a week and dinners Thursday-​Saturday.

History

Established in 2014.

Cedar Mountain Café resides in the previous Grammy’s Restaurant location, a landmark in Cedar Mountain for over 20 years. With a new concept and fresh design, Cedar Mountain Café brings a fresh and healthy focus to Cedar Mountain.

Me, my fiancée, and our daughters are visiting my great grandmother and we decided to stop by for lunch. I used to eat there when it was still under Grannies. I have to say I am very impressed with the new renovations and ownership. I tried the chicken salad (AMAZING!) and a side of the sweet potato waffle fries. Everything was delicious and the service was perfect. You have to try their home made soda it’s to die for. Keep up the good work guys

After reading some of the other reviews we decided to stop in and give this place a try. I wasn’t impressed with the greet staff as we were left standing while the majority of tables were empty. However it wasn’t until my food arrived that I realized just how bad of a mistake I had made by choosing this place. I ordered the Bourbon carmalized brisket, which came with mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies. Worst meal I have ever tasted, I can’t say eaten as I could not eat it. I even tried to bring it home to the animals and even the racoons wouldn’t eat it. The meat tasted like they had taken yesterday’s brisket poured boubon over it set it on fire then to put out the fire poured every hot sauce and seasoning they had over the top. The potatoes were cold and the veggies were basically raw. My mom ordered the Hanger steak, the knife would not even cut through it. I will say my husband ordered a hamburger and a salad and both of those items were very good, however because the other two meals were so bad I am still rating this place as a 1 star.

Delicious breakfast spot! They have daily specials– check the board. 3 of us in my party, one got the special: breakfast wrap and a side of French toast. One got the mountain man, and I got the bacon hash. I was hoping it was like corned beef hash– which I love, but it wasn’t. Still tasty none the less– bacon mixed with potatoes into a patty. The French toast was great– made out of French bread. Service was friendly with a smile and prices were reasonable-​high. FREE WIFI!!!

Great breakfast spot to hit with the family. The staff were really friendly and super entertaining. They obviously know their regular customers well and that carries over to visitors well. We had a hearty and delicious breakfast, perfect for fueling up for a morning in DuPont State Forest!

Best food and customer service, especially from Amy and Debbie.
I had three fantastic days eating at this very quaint and warm place. The breakfast was super! Lunch was delightful with plenty of ice tea to drink. And Dinner I had a prime rib with veggies and sweet potato to die for. I highly recommend this jewel of place.

When I saw this restaurant on a search, I looked up reviews and friends also told me how wonderful this restaurant is.
I expected better.
After waiting 45 minutes for our food, the coffee was way too strong, my boyfriend’s over easy eggs were raw on top, and the bacon hash he couldn’t wait to try didn’t taste good.
The rest of our party’s meals were good, but when one isn’t happy, no one is happy.
Maybe it was a down day… We might give it another try. Not any time soon.

I found this place on Unilocal.It’s definitely as good as the reviews. Chandelle was very helpful and attentive. I ordered the special meatball sub. It was excellent! It was priced reasonably and a lot to eat. I can see myself visiting this place when I’m in the area.

MoiFound myself riding solo one morning during a Thanksgiving week vacation in Pisgah Forest, NC. Did a Unilocal search for breakfast places nearby and thought I would give this place a try, because of the vegetarian options under the description. I was very excited This place lived up to it’s prior reviews!
I had the Huevos Rancheros and devoured the entire entrée in 5 minutes. The coffe was delicious as well. Another added bonus, this gem is located down the road from the Dupont mountain bike trails, which is where I headed once I was done with breakfast.
This place was amazing including the service, which was fast and friendly. I can’t wait to go back there again.

We live on the other side of the mountain and a good breakfast spot is hard to find, but we finally found one! The bacon hash and California omelet are great. Restaurant is very clean and service was great. The coffee was a little too strong was our only complaint. We will definitely be back again.

We frequent Brevard once or twice a year and this is the first trip we stopped at a breakfast spot and I am glad we did! The service and food all deserve 5 stars. The food was so fresh and not greasy like usual breakfast places. I had the mountain man breakfast both times I went and it was a perfect taste of everything! 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage patties, 2 humongous Pancakes and delicious bowl of grits! (You can interchange the pancakes for French toast or biscuits and gravy; and grits for home fries, I tried all except the biscuits and they were all delicious!) Definitely come give them a try. Next time I’ll have a go with their lunch/​dinner!

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Found it quite by accident as we were driving by and it exceeded every expectation. Spotless and newly remodeled inside, exceptional friendly service and a breakfast that was beyond great. Don’t miss the beautiful artwork on the front siding of the building that was made out of cedar shakes of different lengths. Any time I am in the Brevard area, this place will be an important part of my agenda.

i thought it very expensive and the service slow. i think for a whole in the wall area it could have been more inviting. i had breakfast my ticket for two people was 34.00 and i didn’t even get a refill on coffee

I had an outstanding farm to table breakfast. Much better breakfast than the other established breakfast place in downtown Brevard which was my favorite after first visit yesterday. Cedar Mountain’s eggs, bacon and sausage are from local farms not too far away. Bacon Hash was of excellent quality.
It’s a new restaurant that just opened but the food and service was spot on. Kudos to the owner.
It was an early Sunday morning before the church crowd and the place was almost packed.
The word must be out out this new hot spot. Can’t wait to try dinner the next time I am in town.
Only 4 stars because I reviewed breakfast only and not lunch or dinner.

The GPS is wrong. Stop a half mile short of where you are supposed to and you’ll find the CMC. The place is new and staff and owners are friendly and they are at the top of their game. Do not miss the bacon hash for breakfast says Norm. I had the burger for lunch and it is almost a meal for two. Yummy to the max.
