512-A/C

Sadly, I have no choice but to update my review of 512 AC.
My first impression of Michael was not a good one. However, after discovering he had recently lost a family member I decided to let that impression go. My first experience wasn’t great. My second was ok. Not great, not terrible. He applied leak stop and said it was guaranteed or I would receive a refund. No risk, right?
Wrong! After a semi-​annual tuneup (by another company), I was told my refrigerant was low yet again. So, I called Michael to let him know. He said something like «OK — I will DROP OFF (yes — drop off) your money on Friday». That was in June. I followed up a few days later & he requested a copy of the receipt.
I sent him a copy of his invoice and a copy of the receipt from the other company showing that the refrigerant was low. He again stated he would refund my money. After NUMEROUS phone calls and texts, NOTHING. If he needs some other documentation, who would know because his communication is so poor. Pretty much non-​existent.
At this point I am PISSED! Granted, it’s only $ 75, but $ 75 is $ 75 and it’s due back to me. Or it’s a bait and switch. He is terrible at returning calls and ignores texts (and I have cut him slack in the past because he is a single man operation), but enough is enough. I would NOT recommend 512 AC for numerous reasons, but whatever. Use at your own risk.

I can’t say enough great things about Michael and 512– A/​C! I called on a Saturday morning about the AC not working in my rental home in Cedar Park. It was a blistering August day and my tenants were miserable. I called several other companies, who gave me the run around and told me they would try to squeeze me in the following Monday or Tuesday. They also told me about the exorbitant fees for weekend service calls. I was about to give up when I luckily called 512 A/​C. Michael assured me that he would be at my house within the hour and would service the AC the same day at no extra weekend cost! I was shocked and relieved to say the least. The AC was in perfect working condition in a matter of a few hours. Highly recommend! Will definitely do business with 512 A/​C again in the future!

Michael is wonderful to work with! Prices are outstanding! What more could you want?
He did a full install of my furnace and outside unit and took great detail in making sure everything was done to the highest quality. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. He will even tell you what to look out for, if you are interested, and answer any questions you may have. I also have him come out for routine maintenance checks. Don’t wait until the dead heat of summer to have your A/​C break down!
Its nice to know that there is an A/​C guy who you can trust and will do everything he can to help you as soon as possible. I always recommend him to friends and family and will continue to do so!

Michael was able to come out to our house on 8÷22÷2014 within 30 minutes and had it fixed and going within an hour. Reasonable, trustworthy and local. It doesn’t get any better! Give him a shot, you won’t go wrong!

We had to replace TWO central AC units in our new-​ish house this week. Cha-​frickin-​ching. We did our due diligence and got several bids from the big HVAC companies down to the little locally owned shops. We happened upon Michael at 512 AC when he serviced our aging units several times last summer under our home warranty, so we called him for a bid. NO ONE could come close to Michael’s price. And this wasn’t a sub-​par brand either. We’re talking two, brand new American Standard units. What sold us wasn’t the actual price, it was the fact that Michael was honest with us and let us know that he’d rather have a customer for life who would always use him and recommend him to our friends, than make a few more extra dollars and jack up the price of installing our new AC units. Here we are less than a week later and our beautiful, shiny, quiet, twin 2.5 ton, 16 SEER American Standard units are staring at me in all their über-​expensive glory. But the price was way less than we would have paid elsewhere and Michael and Cameron (I think that was his name) stayed late both days to finish up the job. They were super patient with all our questions and our little one running around, crying, napping, and being the toddler she is. I even heard a little chuckle from Michael when he witnessed me get all mean-​ass mom on my tweener… proof he has kids and has been there, done that. I recommend 512 AC 100% and I hope he gets all the business he can handle and then some, because decent, hard working guys like Michael deserve to have their local business thrive.

WOW!!! That is all I can say as I am very impressed with the level of service that Michael provided me and my family today. He went above and beyond on handling my needs and even provided additional services that I could tell were not standard including providing me guidance on how to better maintain my two systems and simple guidelines on proactive best practices to implement for my systems to last muich longer. He also discovered leaks in the venting that he sealed as I was losing a lot of air through them. I have gotten used to just getting the basic service especially when dealing with service providers sent by American Home Shield but this was not the case with 512-​AC. Not only was Michael super reasonable and sincere, I have no doubt now that I am better prepared to care for my AC system long term.
Kudos to you Michael and I wish you continued success.

Michael is the real deal — he is as good as it gets. He is incredibly diligent, and simply would not stop until he was confident that he determined the cause of my AC issue. His visit came on the heels of three unsuccessful attempts by another AHS service provider; when I insisted that AHS send out someone different, they dispatched Michael. I’m glad they did.
It’s clear that Michael’s reputation is very important to him — and rare to find a service provider with such a high bar of integrity.

It’s been a few weeks since Michael came out to look at our AC on behalf of American Home Shield and all I can say is Wow. He was so very professional, nice and incredibly helpful. I was a bit skeptical as we have had the same problem every year like clockwork, not only once but multiple time during the summer and everyone else just put a bandaid on it. He took the time, checked things out and really fixed it. The house hasn’t been this comfortable in years! I can’t say enough good things. I will be definitely calling him for any more issues and maintenance we have.

Great service. I will highly recommend him anybody I know.
