All drivers own their own trucks and pull an Army Ant trailer. All trailers are low-​boys, not box trucks which can be 3 – 4 feet off of the ground/​dangerous. These guys did a terrific job! They really took care of our furniture by wrapping everything and taking care around corners. They wrapped and put our TV in the back of the main truck — not the trailer. These guys were experienced, friendly, reasonably priced, and knew what they were doing. It was a down pour right before our scheduled time and a drizzle while moving. They laid down blankets at the entrance, so they wouldn’t track in. They were responsive on email/​yelp, but a little slower on the phone. I asked how big hey were and learned it’s a mom and pop business with a team of about 8 to 10. We’ll definitely hire them again! This was a much better experience than the last one we had with 2 hungover young guys…

Army Ant moving was able to help us on short notice during a difficult time. My father was going into hospice and we needed to move my mother to an apartment ASAP. She changed the dates on the move at the last minute and they graciously accommodated. The movers were quick and efficient. Definitely would use again!

We’ve never used a moving company before but we needed to move quick. These guys were so fast and efficient. They don’t stop and waste time. I actually wished they had taken a breather, I was exhausted and I was just carrying smaller items around and cleaning. Hector and Alex were super nice, they do as little or as much as you need. They wrapped all of the larger furniture in blankets and even had a few huge boxes for items that weren’t quite small enough to pack so they wouldn’t shift around the truck. They disassembled the beds and then put them all back together when we arrived at the new home.
This is a great company with awesome customer service. Thank you guys!

Awesome job from the guys who did my move! They were fast and super friendly. This is my 2nd time using Army Ant, and I have to say it won’t be the last! They are my go-​to for my next move (which hopefully won’t be on the 3rd floor– LOL). They took such great care of my items and asked if I had any questions. They took apart a bunk bed for my kids and put it back together again. COMPLETELY AWESOME! Thanks guys!

I hired Army Ant Moving to move me based on Unilocal reviews and I was not disappointed. Hector, Jose and Alex arrived on time and after appraising the situation started packing our very heavy furniture right away. The whole day they were laughing and cracking jokes and it certainly made a stressful day turn into an actually pleasant experience. Love it when things go smoothly and this company provided excellent service at an affordable price. I would hire them again without hesitation.

I’ve now used Army Ant Movers 4 times since 2011, and I can honestly say these folks have gone above and beyond every time. They show up on time, and are extremely fast. Our latest move was from a fully furnished one-​story house to a two story house in Round Rock. They moved everything in 6 hours, which included the disassembling and reassembling of all the larger furniture. They covered and protected all the furniture and door ways. The entire staff has always been professional and courteous.

These guys were really good. As is the case with any move, I had some things that were broken but you never know how that happened. Overall, though, these guys took care of my things and helped me set up my beds. I will use them again.

We used Army Ant for a local move and did our usual method — hire movers for the «big stuff» and then spend another five days getting the rest of our crap to the new place. If I had known how fast these guys were, I would have secured more boxes and packed up everything down to the salt and pepper shakers and that last pack of SOS pads under the sink! It’s always an «iffy» deal to hire movers who charge by the hour but HAVE FAITH in this company. They are top notch pros. Not only are they fast, but also über careful. They cover your doors, floors, etc and take extra care to ensure they don’t cause any damage to walls.
They moved us from 620⁄183 to North Cedar Park and had it done in 3 ½ hours. Again, if I had known how fast they were I would have packed things up and let them move more.
NOTE: We rented Bronco Boxes for our move and after the Army Ant guys saw this they said they can get these types of boxes at a much better discount. UGH, wish I had known. Call them before getting your boxes!

Luis and Hector did an amazing job helping us get our entire house packed up and ready for our move! These guys worked fast, smart, and together to get the job done on time. They showed up exactly when they said that they would and didn’t stop until the job was done.
They were fairly reasonable priced for the amount of work that they do, EVEN IN THIS TEXAS SUMMER HEAT!
I would recommend this company to anyone that needs a little help getting ready for their move.

These guys were great! They covered the furniture in blankets and moved them carefully. Nothing was damaged and when our outdoor furniture started leaking rusty water, they laid down blankets so it wouldn’t damage our carpeting, when they carried it out to the porch.
They gave us a quote over the phone and that was all we paid. I highly recommend the Army Ant Moving company and I am glad they moved us.

Worst. Movers. Ever.
I had to repeatedly ask them to wrap our furniture (which is in the normal package). First they said they’d wrap them on the truck. Then they said they were wrapped. Then we got to the storage unit and nothing was wrapped. This is even after I called the main office. They finally wrapped them, half-​a – ed.
We moved all the furniture downstairs to help them out but received little discount on the total. They didn’t hustle much either. One guy went off looking for a bathroom for almost as long as he moved us.
For $ 800, I expected to receive the services promised. This company failed to do that.

These guys are GREAT!!! They helped me move from my third floor one bedroom apartment to my new house back in August.
I’ve always wanted to be one to start leaving Unilocal reviews for places I use/​visit (good and bad experiences) but I just never seem to get around to it. These guys were so awesome I had to leave one!
These guys actually answered their phone when I called to get a quote and check availability. They have great customer service and actually care about getting your business.
On moving day the two men arrived on time and got right to work. Jose and his coworker (I’m so sorry I forgot his name!) did not slow down or stop almost the entire 7 hours they worked. I worked right alongside them (I’m not so good at just sitting still and watching others work) moving things in my vehicle and we laughed and carried on the whole time. It was like I was hanging out with good friends all day.
They seemed to really love their jobs, working with each other and they definitely know how to pack and cover things so that none of my items were damaged. I’ve had other movers make some serious mistakes.
I can’t believe how much they got done and the whole day was an enjoyable experience. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a move. Who does? I will definitely be using these guys in the future!

Army Ant Moving to my rescuuuuuuue!
Had a great experience working with the team at Army Ant. And first, let me start with saying: I am a HORRIBLE MOVER. I’m terrible at estimating how much I have to move, how much I’ll need packed vs. how much will already be in boxes. ACK.
So Army Ant came up with a way to work with me … they gave me the option of getting a quote … or just sending a group over (at an hourly rate) and they will do «whatever needs doing» to get my family from point A to point NEW HOME.
We had to reschedule a couple weeks in advance. They were totally accommodating. And the day of the move they showed up (on time) to … a half packed house. The crew was patient, careful … yet fast. After a long day they got it all done and I was so thankful for their flexible approach AND how friendly everyone was.
Highly recommend Army Ant!

I moved awhile back and completely forgot to post my review on these guys. Anyway, I had booked them to move my into a downtown apartment in Austin. I got the quote about a week before my move-​in date. Seemed like a reasonable rate. It was $ 85/​hour to unload a Uhaul trailer. I scheduled the move for early in the day because Austin gets extremely hot in the summer.
They called me the day of the move and said they wouldn’t be able to make it because they were double booked for another job, one that would last until the afternoon. I explained that my parents and girlfriend were in town to help me unpack. I was also in a time crunch to get the rented Uhaul back before the place closed.
The guy on the phone was unapologetic but did offer to send 2 guys, possibly around 5pm. I declined because of time constraints.
Going back, I had confirmation emails regarding the quote and appointment time. In my opinion, if a moving company will call and cancel on you last minute, then what good are they.
Update: Thanks Steve for the feedback and I’m glad to see you guys are under new ownership. I’m surprised my review was word for word. I do not remember leaving one, but at any rate, I just wanted to put down my experience. I’m sure if you guys put together a good body of work, you’ll do alright. Don’t worry about a bad review or two.
