Dave’s Ultimate Automotive is a family owned and operated auto service center serving North Austin, Central Austin, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Round Rock, University of Texas and surrounding areas since 1997. We have earned our place in the NAPA AutoCare program so even though we are an independent company, our work is warrantied nationwide. Our staff of continually trained service advisers and technicians is genuinely passionate about solving your auto repair issues and providing service and maintenance that exceeds all expectations. This has helped us win the Angie’s List Super service award and earn 100% on AAA customer satisfaction surveys. Both have been achieved for multiple years.

Our ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certified Technicians are skilled on all levels, from basic automotive maintenance such as an oil service, tire service, fluid services and state inspections to the most complex car diagnostic and repair issues like brake repair, suspension & drivability issues.

Dave’s in Cedar Park is wonderful. We’ve only lived here 3 months and left a mechanic we’d had for many years when we moved. I never thought we’d find another shop we’d be as happy with, but Dave’s is indeed top notch. Brad is so helpful and they always check the car over fully, which is important. They have great prices for synthetic oil changes and if you wait for your car the seating area is clean and well stocked.
Great company with many locations. You can’t go wrong.

Brad and the crew did an outstanding job for me. My wife and I were just passing thru when our truck’s fan clutch went out. Needless to say, it happened on a Saturday afternoon. I called this place and said they could get me in first thing Monday morning. So on Monday morning I showed up before they were open and out of their generosity they let me in, diagnosed my truck, gave me a ride to my RV. These folks really know how to treat people well. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to take care of their automotive needs.

Needed my flat changed quickly, so we stopped at the closest place, which was Dave’s. They offered to change the tire, and didn’t even try to sell us a million tires and things.
Just for that, they’ll get my business again. Quick, friendly, honest.

We were extremely satisfied with the level of service and their willingness to stand behind their work. We took our SUV which has 215,000 + miles for a blown water pump. Several other items needed repair and Dave’s staff sent pictures to help illustrate the additional work needed. The other items weren’t major, but definitely needed.
Shortly after repair, additional work was needed and Dave’s took complete ownership and fixed these items at no cost to us. They were extremely honest, great integrity and very strong customer service. We will use Dave’s for future automotive needs.

I took my car to get the A/C repaired. The same day I received my car back, the A/C stopped working again. I called so I can take it back to get it repaired that same day, but they told me they were too busy. I would have to wait until the next business day.
I found the A/C issue myself. They ordered the part for me, but did not refund me any of my previous A/C repairs because they said it probably had two issues. Hmmm…
I doubt that was the case.
I was looking for a trust-worthy auto shop in the area, but looks like I still need to keep looking.

I opted to not do most of the repairs I had quoted at Dave’s due to the excessive prices. I work on cars in my spare time, and knew the quote was off when I received it. I towed my car away and repaired it myself.
What I found surprising is that the quoted part prices are more than twice what an aftermarket auto parts store charges. For the plugs/coils/air filter, at AutoZone, the parts are $ 178 (if I match the originals, there are cheaper options). I opted to go with the dealer, where the cost was $ 237.02, while Dave’s estimate shows $ 385.43. A mark up of $ 150 compared to dealer prices.
I know there is typically some mark up on parts, but this is over the top. Considering this location was just opened, this is no way to earn customers. You won’t be seeing me again.

I called to check to see if I a noisy blower motor would be covered under warrant that was done when the business was Pampered Auto Care less than a year ago. Dave’s Ultimate Automotive recently took over Pampered. I call Thursday (yesterday) afternoon and a very friendly receptionist pulled up my original work invoice just from my name. Asked pertinent info and then said it should be covered. She said the part would be available for installation the next morning. I showed up at 9:05 AM the next morning (today) and mentioned I had called about a blower motor. Receptionist said OK and took my keys. She didn’t ask for all my details again as she had them from my call the day before (I assume). At 9:35, I was given my keys with a smile and no payment due. I had expected to pay for labor, but that was waived. Very good to see service at this level. My old diesel Mercedes may be old, but I plan on driving it to over 300,000 miles. I am sure I’ll reach that goal with Dave’s Ultimate Automotive being around to service it. I’ll be back and I highly suggest giving them a try.
