At Lakeline VS we incorporate the latest technology to assist the evaluation of spectacle prescriptions, peripheral vision, intraocular pressure, and eye health. Examinations include tests for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and the ocular effects of many general health disorders such as diabetes and high blood pressure, as well as effects of medications. Lakeline Vision Source uses OptoMap technology, which enables us to see almost the entire retina in seconds, all without dilation in most cases.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Laurie Sorrenson, OD, FAAO, opened Lakeline Vision Source in 1995. She is a part time faculty member at the University of Houston College of Optometry teaching practice management to the fourth year optometry students. She does some consulting where she helps other optometrists manage their practices better. She also lectures around the country on different topics including staff management, efficiencies, keratoconus and contact lenses.

Dr. Sorrenson attended college in Oklahoma. She finished her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Houston and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 1985. She added to her training by receiving her academy fellowship from the Academy of Optometry in 1999 and in becoming licensed as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. In 1995 the Texas Optometric Association awarded her the honor of Young Optometrist of the Year and she received the Optometrist of the Year award in 2000.
